LlschungDuring our recent stay at this wonderful hotel, we were exceptionally satisfied with every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff who came out to meet us at the scenic area entrance and assisted with our luggage. This level of service set the tone for our entire visit.
The hotel's décor is stunning, creating a serene and visually pleasing environment. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a restful haven where we enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. It truly is a fantastic place to relax and unwind.
One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful afternoon tea, particularly the grain snacks which were so delicious that we requested the hotel staff to help purchase and courier some to Shanghai for us to bring home. Their willingness to accommodate our request added a special touch to our experience.
Breakfast at the hotel was another standout. The porridge, in particular, was so delectable that the hotel kindly gave us a pack of the rice used to prepare it. This gesture was much appreciated and spoke volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction.
Overall, our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and pleasant retreat. If we return to this area, we will undoubtedly choose to stay here again.

GGuest UserWhat an unique experience! Nothing could be more authentic than that! Our room is on the first floor right by the water. We saw many women rowing the gondola boats and serenading beautiful songs to their passengers. We came in a low season, so there wasn’t that much crowd. We could stroll around leisurely to take in all the beautiful sights that this place offers to us. The home stay is operated by a couples. They are so friendly, kind, and always eager to help out, especially the wife (Ms. Chan). The day when we left, she helped us getting a didi ride which is more cheaper than the one we hailed ourselves. The room we stayed in is very unique, it is not super big, but it is very clean and it has everything we needed for the night. All and all, I would highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

LLanxingxyThis B&B is right across from Guanqian Street! It's very convenient for exploring the surrounding area [grin], which greatly shortened our travel time. It's very nice [jump jump]. The room has a wide variety of disposable items, including disposable toilet seats and disposable razors. How thoughtful! We arrived in the afternoon, put our luggage away, and went shopping and eating on Guanqian Street across the street. In the evening, we came back and watched variety shows on the projection screen with friends to relax [silly smile]. The courtyard of the B&B is beyond beautiful, and the room style is also very unique. I love it and will definitely come back next time I'm in Suzhou [silly smile]

MM300065****This guesthouse is absolutely wonderful! The courtyard is very cozy and clean. We originally planned for a three-day stay but ended up extending it by an extra night. We booked the 'Fenghe' room, a two-story unit, with my child and I upstairs and my dad downstairs. The host was incredibly kind; she even sent us detailed guides on local attractions, transport, and dining tips before we arrived. Its location is superb, with the Humble Administrator's Garden, the museum, and Lion Grove Garden all within 500-600 meters and easily reachable on foot. In the evenings, Pingjiang Road's night market and scenic views are just a short walk away. And the absolute highlight: the owner has three adorable, chubby cats! Coming back after a day out and getting to pet them in the courtyard was incredibly therapeutic. I'll definitely be recommending this guesthouse to any friends visiting in the future!

HHannahThis is such a lovely little homestay! We struggled to find the entrance since Tencent Maps sent us a street over, but after adding them on WeChat they sent us a pin right away and helped us make it (see photo!). The room was clean, well-air-conditioned, well thought out, and we had so much fun with the Japanese toilet!
My chinese is limited to basic conversation only but staff were friendly and the lady at the desk on the day we checked out showed us her newborn kittens! Super super happy all round with this stay!
Note to other guests:
- Taxis will have to drop you a few streets away as much of the old town's streets are too narrow for cars.
- The entrance is right on the canal, not round a corner.
- The door is open at all times, so don't worry if you're back late!
