GGuest UserMy husband and I were met with the warmest of welcomes here! The hosts and staff were all really friendly and willing to even prepare some dinner for us after we arrived late in the evening. The gardens are beautiful and well-tended and lovely to just walk around in or sit and enjoy. We had a queen bed room Mountain View - which was quite spacious, smelled fresh and was exceptionally clean, with sufficient amenities even a balcony and mini-sauna. Breakfast was local-style and very filling. This location is great for a remote getaway experience, for some peace and quiet and if you want to explore nature. The only thing to note is that the surrounding village is rather small so there aren’t many other food options/ stores etc, so best to come prepared. All in all, we had a wonderful time and are hoping to return in the spring!

Hygienic: The room is very clean, the bathroom has no smell, hot water is sufficient, and several rooms will not affect the bath at the same time.
Service: The service is very good, the group will be pulled in advance, and all kinds of needs will be responded quickly.
Hardware: It can be seen that the boss is still very careful in the operation, all kinds of decoration designs have been spent on.
This trip brought children, dining chair toys, staying in tatami room type is also very suitable, not afraid of children falling out of bed.

HHuigeThe service was excellent. The butler responded quickly to WeChat messages and was very convenient with water and other items delivered. We were given a top-floor room with a great view, but unfortunately we didn't get to see the fireworks that evening—on Saturday night, you could have seen the hotel's fireworks directly from the balcony. The breakfast was average, and the wontons were okay.
The hotel is located at the tip of the peninsula, and you can stroll along the lakefront right outside. The scenery is beautiful, and every tourist attraction is just a short walk away. Unfortunately, it was too hot and humid this time, so we had to return shortly. Chongyuan Temple is also not far away; Bicester is within a 10-minute drive, and the Jinji Lake business district is a 20-minute drive.
The only downside to the room was the soundproofing. It wasn't the noise from the neighboring rooms, but the noise from the hallway was a bit loud, which was a bit surprising for a 21-year-old hotel.

HHuahuaxiaojiejiePerhaps due to the room type, both rooms were far from the elevator. Around 8 a.m., there was a thumping noise from upstairs. The room was spacious, but the downside was that there was no TV or refrigerator. If you wanted to cool something, you had to go up to the second floor, which was quite inconvenient. If you were picking up a tour driver, you had to have him go into the lobby and scan a QR code before you could leave.
The breakfast here was very poor. There was no basic milk, juice, or sauces. The outside bar only had two kinds of pickled cucumber and plain porridge. I got a bowl of bland noodles, so I skipped it the next day! It was simply not good.
It's a shame that the hotel rooms are basic, but the food wasn't well-received.

The hotel's exterior design is unique, there's ample parking, and the rooms are clean and tidy. You can comfortably enjoy the outside scenery from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Our multi-story room also came with a private entertainment room, a mahjong table, a small courtyard, and a mini hot tub. We borrowed a BBQ grill and charcoal from the hotel, and they also have an outdoor pool, lakeside coffee seating, and a KTV/billiards room, so we partied until the early hours.
In terms of service, besides breakfast, the hotel also offers afternoon tea, a pre-bed sweet soup, and fruit snacks. They were incredibly thoughtful and always accommodating. When checking out the next day, they informed us that no one had booked our room for that night, so we could check out later. That proactive service alone deserves five stars!👍

__WeChat289837****The Banyan Tree in Shishan seems to have opened last year. The hotel's public areas, room environment, and facilities are all quite new and well-maintained. The only minor issue is the sofa in the courtyard; it's a bit of a wasted feature, exposed to the sun and rain, making it impractical to use. Otherwise, I was very satisfied with the environment. Their service is also excellent; the front desk delivers takeout directly to the room, and any requests are handled promptly. I stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. It's not far from Shanghai, making it perfect for a staycation. They offer small gifts during turndown service in the evening, though I got the same refrigerator magnet two nights in a row 🤣. When checking out, the front desk gave me a cute little lion plushie, which was a nice touch☺️.
My only complaint is that the breakfast selection isn't very extensive, especially the Western pastries. I personally love cake, but they mostly offered bread… Aside from that, everything else was excellent!👍

IInaRIt's a great house in an awesome location. However, it has not been looked after well. It's quite dirty (spinning webs in the room, toilet in the reception area is being used as ayi's cleaning room or where she would look after her personal hygiene - comb and cleaning utensils/towels placed on sink) and even though you can see some staff from time to time, they don't feel keen to interact with you. All the activities that we were sent, were not available (animal feeding - no animals, wine tasting - no wine) or we had to find out how to do them ourselves (drawing - most of the pens were dry. sunset walk - no one could efficiently explain where to go or point out direction on map). Lunch and denu menu is the same and very limited (also fries were sold out after the first night we stayed there), there were no cool drinks available. At breakfast menu there was a station where staff should make fresh fried egg but there was no staff. No one asked if we wanted tea or coffee or was there to help with anything. In the morning, the table was still the same like we left it after dinner. All in all, it was very chaotic and felt more like an airbnb than a hotel experience.

Although it rained on the day of check-in and visibility was average, the night view was unique. The restaurant on the basement floor of the hotel is also very good, suitable for business banquets, highly recommended!

3320129****I am very satisfied with this trip. The young couple runs this homestay. They love cleanliness very much, so the room is very clean. The interior design is very simple and generous, yet avant-garde. The toilets in the bathroom are all equipped with automatic ultraviolet disinfection, which is not necessarily possible in many high-end hotels. The beautiful and petite young lady is enthusiastic and capable. She also took many beautiful photos for us and secretly recorded a short video for us, which is very touching. The handsome young man is very efficient, caring, and has good eyesight. When we came, the elderly had difficulty walking and needed to adjust the room. He helped to move all the luggage down. When we left, he helped to help the elderly go up and down the stairs. In today's society, being able to do these things is very touching. The breakfast is also very rich. Although the journey is less than two days, the whole family is very happy, especially the two 85-year-old elderly people. They can't put down the beautiful photos taken by the young lady. This encounter is unforgettable... Thanks again to the two young couples, and I hope they will be successful and their business will be prosperous.

GGuest UserI went to Xishan with friends to relax over the weekend and happened to come across this place. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful and quiet environment. You can climb to the top of Piaomiao Peak along the way. There are mountains and water, and the three big white geese in the river are very lively. You can also go boating. It's a perfect place to completely forget about life's troubles. It's a perfect weekend getaway. I heard from the locals that you can pick bayberries here in the summer and soak in hot springs in the winter. I plan to come back next time to experience it.
