Hong Kong New York Guest House (TST Metro H Exit) Reviews

I typically favor five-star accommodations; however, I selected this hotel primarily for its advantageous location. The staff members are exceptionally attentive and provide a comprehensive introduction to the available amenities. While this establishment may not align with the expectations of those seeking a luxury experience, it is well-suited for travelers who prioritize an enjoyable stay in Hong Kong and primarily require a place to rest.

Best guesthouse in HK center area. Location was especially convenient, the room had all the necessary equipment, very clean and the bed was big and steady enough for high performance. Also,  the building was quite an experience with great views of the city. Totally recommended for those in pursuit of an authentic hong-kongnese experience.

Clean and comfortable stay.

This is the definition of a budget room in Hong Kong: very, very, VERY small, the shower is above the toilets, and the bed can feel a bit small if you're 1.80 meter tall or above. The guesthouse is located on the 7th floor of the notorious yet fascinating Chungking Mansion Building (If you haven't heard about it, Google it). Having said that, the employees were extremely kind and helpful, and offered an even better price when we asked in person to extend for 2 extra nights.

The experience was good but it was impossible to sleep well due to the noise of the air conditioner.

Location is convenient. I was a little skeptical of the place at first being it's my first time booking at hostel or homestay. The crowd downstairs was a little overwhelming as they will try to get your attention to book or stay at their place. The lady who greeted us was all smiles. The first room they assigned us didn't have a window and she was kind enough to let us move to another room with one.

It was an interesting experience to stay a few nights in this famous building and i‘m somehow glad that i did that as an experience but i definitely wouldn‘t do it again. the room was really expensive in comparison what it offered. it was quite difficult to find and i couldn‘t sleep well because the people were super loud and there was no fresh air coming through the tiny windows and the view made me feel like i don’t even want to breath that air from outside. the workers are friendly and the people working and living in the mansion are unbothered by tourists. you don‘t need to worry about danger or anything. the location is in a really nice area with many things to explore and good restaurants around. the room was not too dirty but also didn’t feel really clean to me. if you‘re alone and stay for one adventurous night it’s okay. otherwise i wouldn‘t recommend to stay there

We had a great stay at this hotel in Hong Kong. The room was clean, compact, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We stayed here for a week as a family with a child, and it was perfect for our needs. A special thank you to Mohan and Hussein for their outstanding hospitality and support throughout our stay. They were always friendly, attentive, and ready to help with any questions or requests. Their warm attitude truly made a difference and made us feel welcome.
