The ibis hotel is in a great location that can be accessed by tram and bus, or with a further walk the train or ferry. We booked a harbor view and it was spectacular for the price! The room was a good size, but there is limited toiletries so pack what you need for your stay. Tons of great restaurants and bakeries nearby, and a Starbucks in the lobby for convenience

We were travelling through Hong Kong and had here 1 night. Location is perfect (metro is just 1 min by walking to entrance + 5-7 minutes inside to get to station. Hotel itself looks huge and beautiful. Advantages: 1) location close to metro 2) price (if you are searching for a couple room not in hostel). 3) nearby cafes and shops, minimarkets, 7eleven just in front. Disadvantages: 1) elevator. Just 2 of them for 20+ floors, you can wait for 10 minutes just till it reach your floor. 2) Tiny rooms, with 2 luggages impossible to move, even to open a bag to take our stuff. Thank God we stayed for one night. For me it also was quite dark, lack of sun. 3) Room was a bit dirty (floors and washroom), bedsheets were clean, that's a huge relief. 4) Reception stuff was not that friendly. I mean, after China mainland their spread seemed a bit rude or maybe I'm overthinking already It totall I'd give 5/10 for the experience. For Hong Kong it's 8/10 Picture was done on 20th floor when we waited for the elevator!

Reasonable value for Hong Kong and close to HKU. Looking a little rough around the edges now. The gym isn't worth bothering with and the buffet breakfast isn't a buffet - you're better eating at one of the restaurants nearby.

I had an excellent stay at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong. What truly made it exceptional was the extraordinary team working there—every interaction was warm, professional, and thoughtful. The room was a beautiful blend of classic elegance and modern comfort, spacious and immaculately maintained. As a foreign visitor, I found the hotel incredibly welcoming and easy to navigate, with staff always ready to assist. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city, close to everything. An unforgettable experience made possible by outstanding people.

Rating: 10/10 We booked two rooms at the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, and my parents were extremely satisfied with their stay. They stayed in a room with two large double beds, and everything was perfect. The view from the room was breathtaking, and the room size was spacious and very comfortable. All aspects—service, facilities, location, and cleanliness—were absolutely top-notch, deserving a full 10/10. Highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and luxurious stay, especially for families!

Thank You for a Wonderful Experience! I wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional service we received during our stay at Shangri-La. A special thank you to GiGi for introducing us to the family floor, which made our stay so enjoyable and comfortable. Additionally, we are truly grateful to Vanessa for her wonderful storytelling and engaging playtime with our daughter. Her warmth and attention made our daughter feel so special and cared for. Thank you for creating such a memorable experience for our family! We can’t wait to return.

It's a very good value for money. Location is very convenient, the room is a bit small but very clean and tidy. There's an outside garden so we could take away food and eat there. Simple but there's a breakfast provided and it was very helpful.

Location: About 150 meters from Sheung Wan MTR Station and just over 1 km from the Central district, making transportation quite convenient. Hotel Experience: This is a newly opened hotel with about 10 rooms per floor. The hallway smells quite pungent, though there's an air purifier. The rooms are almost odorless, but they're small and newly renovated. Cleanliness is excellent, but the amenities are average. It feels like a mainland Chinese business hotel, not quite a 4-star hotel. The curtains have blackout blinds, which is crucial for a good night's sleep. Breakfast: It's worth mentioning that breakfast is on the 38th floor, with a window seat offering a sea view. It's a set meal, and you can choose from Western and Japanese set meals for your own breakfast. The food is delicious. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Afterward, a cup of freshly ground coffee refreshed me for the day.

Nice three star hotel. Located at the top of a mountain, so prepare to do a lot of climbing up and down steps to get to it. The room was clean, small, but everything we needed was there. My girlfriend and I had enough space, but our 2 large suitcases always stood at the entrance, as there was nowhere to put them or put them away. Water pressure was always good, and hot water was without interruptions. Breakfasts in the hotel are average, most often we went to cafes nearby. Conveniently, from the hotel there are buses to the city center several times a day, from where you can easily get anywhere by metro or other transport. There is also a public transportation stop right outside the hotel.

Hotel is very convenient from Shueng Wan Station. Plenty of food options around. The apartment type is convenient for big families to stay together and yet still have privacy in individual rooms. Especially good with one bathroom for each room. Tip: Nearest mtr exit to hotel is A2. Note that none of the exits have elevators nor downward escalators, so you will need to carry your luggages down the flight of stairs to the station level.

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

  • Tsim Sha Tsui: Tsim Sha Tsui, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, is one of the most representative and bustling areas in the city. It boasts a rich historical background and a modern appearance, and is renowned for its busy commercial district and multicultural characteristics. It features luxury shopping centers, internationally renowned hotels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, it retains historical traces, with many ancient buildings and museums. Showcase Hong Kong's culture and history. And don't forget to take a stroll along the Victoria Harbour at night and enjoy the breathtaking night view of Harbour City!
  • Sham Shui Po: Neon-lit electronics graveyards hide 80HKD(≈15.6 AUD) coffin hostel beds above secret hipster cafes. Steps from the cyberpunk Apliu Street flea market (protip: hunt for retro cameras at 7am before tech geeks swarm). Hong Kong’s Khao San Road—backpackers slurp $18 fishball noodles under dystopian signage, but post-11pm, it morphs into a Blade Runner set.
  • Central & Lan Kwai Fong: By day, finance bros sprint through IFC Mall; by night, Champagne soaks historic cobblestones. Gay bars hide behind Hollywood Road graffiti, with designer hotels (1200−3000+HKD≈235-587 AUD) along the Mid-Levels Escalator. Live for 3am chilli crab with baijiu shots? This is your neon-drenched playground—but avoid NYE: LKF becomes a champagne-supernova warzone where stilettos jam in storm drains.

  • Victoria Peak Tram: To reach the summit of Victoria Peak, taking one of the world's oldest and most renowned Peak Trams is definitely an unforgettable experience! The entire railway is pulled by steel cables. The train climbs up the slope from an altitude of 28 meters to 396 meters (about 1,300 feet), and passengers can overlook the Victoria Harbour along the way. The tall buildings and thick bushes all seem to have fallen to one side. It's truly a wonderful feeling!
  • Temple Street Night Market: Temple Street Night Market, is a night market in Hong Kong that is full of authentic flavors. It is famous for its unique market atmosphere, a wide variety of goods and street snacks. To fully experience the charm of the Temple Street Night Market, it is recommended to visit after 8 p.m. At that time, the stalls are most complete and the atmosphere is the liveliest.
  • Chi Lin Nunnery at Sunset: Chi Lin Nunnery is a Buddhist temple located on Diamond Hill in Hong Kong, renowned for its unique Tang-style architecture and exquisite garden landscapes. Keep going and you will see the Heavenly Kings Hall, where there are Buddha statues and four statues of the Heavenly Kings.

JJUNGEUNI had a fantastic stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong during my recent business trip. The service was impeccable from check-in to check-out, with attentive staff always ready to assist. My room was spacious, modern, and offered stunning views of the city skyline. The amenities, particularly the fitness center and pool, were well-maintained. I also appreciated the hotel's central location, making it convenient for both business meetings and leisure. Overall, a highly satisfying experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

SSandersThe service was outstanding. From reception to the concierge, the service was helpful and exceptional. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds and were cleaned to a high standard. The hotel is located on the island, around a 9-minute drive from central and a similar walk to MTR. I would stay here again, but I would love it to be 1km closer to the action!

SSt. VladaOverall a decent hotel. The location is pretty convenient, not very far from MTR. A 7-Eleven is basically on the opposite side. Upon checking in you are made to pay a 500 HKD deposit. ✅The room (I got number 1002 with a view on Des Voeux Road) was incredibly spacious (as was the bathroom) which is rare in Hong Kong. There's a nice kitchinette: a sink, a microwave oven, a fridge. I liked the sitting area with a mini sofa a lot, it was very comfortable. 📛Drawbacks: Relatively slow internet Toooooo high pillows (neck pain and stiffness, anyone?) Mould in the shower, black hair on the floor. All in all, I would still recommend this hotel as it's roomy and conveniently located, the staff was friendly.

PPHYO PHYO WAI YANG YINGWe booked for 5 nights stay with Conrad, upon check-in we received conrad Teddy with rose petals on the bed and the bedroom is overseeing Hong Kong Peak view . The view is magnificent . - room size is decent for HK but slightly small comparing to Conrad LA & Conrad Tokyo. - room is a little old fashion and outdated and there's ”MOULDY” smell in the room, we are not very enjoying the smell despite the view -Make up room has separate bath-tub, shower, toilet and 2 basin which are good for couple -they have a lobby bar good for light snack and se live music in the late evening - breakfast spread is TERRIBLE WITH LIMITED OPTIONS & QUALITY IS LOW for CONRAD . We went for 2 days same breakfast menu and we didn't go for the rest I'd the day -location of the hotel is good, you press level 3 and it brings u to Pacific place good for shopping and meals.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at YHA Jockey Club Mt. Davis Youth Hostel, and it was an experience worth sharing! If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle while still being within reach of all the action, this is the place to be. What I Loved: ✅ Breathtaking Views: The hostel is perched on Mt. Davis, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, especially at sunrise and sunset—absolutely stunning! ✅ Affordable & Great Value: Compared to most accommodations in Hong Kong, this hostel offers great value for money, making it a budget-friendly option for travellers. ✅ Tranquil Atmosphere: Unlike hotels in the city centre, this place is surrounded by nature, perfect for those who want a relaxing stay. ✅ Friendly Staff: The hostel staff were welcoming and helpful, providing useful tips on getting around. ✅ Outdoor Common Area: There’s a nice outdoor area where you can sit back, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the views. A Few Things to Note: 🔹 Location & Transport: Since the hostel is located on a hill, getting there requires taking a shuttle bus (provided by the hostel) or a taxi. If you prefer a more adventurous route, a scenic hike up Mt. Davis is an option, of course please do it during the day time. 🔹 Basic Amenities: This is a youth hostel, so don’t expect luxury. The rooms are simple but clean, with basic beds and shared facilities. Bring your own toiletries for added comfort. 🔹 Limited Dining Options: There isn’t a restaurant on-site, so it’s best to bring your own food or plan to eat before heading up. The common kitchen is available for light meal prep. 🔹 WIFI coverage & Speed, the signal in room is very pool, I started a 10 mins YouTube video at night and cannot reach to the end after sun rise. Overall Experience: If you're an adventurer, a backpacker, or someone looking for a quiet escape with fantastic views, I highly recommend this hostel. It may not be for those seeking high-end comforts, but for nature lovers and budget-conscious travellers, it’s a hidden gem on Hong Kong Island! 🌿🏙️ Would I stay here again? Yes! Just be prepared for the location challenge, but once you get there, the views are totally worth it.

AAnonymous UserThis is a no frills yet comfortable guest house with a stunning view of the Victoria Harbour. The deluxe room is spacious by local standards yet did not cost a bomb at all. It's situated right behind a bustling high street with lots of eateries and amenities. It is also round the corner from the tram and bus stops, including a direct route to the airport. The MTR station is also just a short walk away. All in all, a good choice for people who want to experience living in an authentic local neighbourhood.

AAdevaThe room is small but that's to be expected for HK Central. Great location. There is a short walk and some stairs from the metro, so keep that in mind if you're walking with luggage. Towels are thin disposable ones. Not bad but some might not like them. Slightly musty smell when I just entered but understandable given the size and layout. Room was clean, sheets were clean, bed was comfy. The AC is kind of loud, but again, understandable. Water pressure in the shower was great. Got a coffee tumbler for 60 HKD and got a free coffee. Not a bad deal. Overall I'd stay here again.
