The front desk staff are very helpful and friendly indeed . They are very considerate. Once we arrived at the main door , the staff already came out to assist us to take the wheelchair from the back of taxi . This really impressed us . The staff in the swimming pool is very helpful too . The swimming pool is clean and water is good . Wish and pray that they can continue to work even when the pool is closed for few months On the whole , we have a pleasant stay and retreat .

Perfectly serviceable lodgings. My biggest issue was a beam that forced me to arch my back to use the toilet. A place today your head for a night in Lamma. Lamma is great for a short break from the city & Bali is conveniently located right by the ferry pier.

The room was clean, the details were well done, and the taste was good! Overall cost-effective, no thunder. There are aromas and fragrances, the tower fragrance is so like The bath water is very big, which is fine. Finally, it is very close to Hongshengye Beach and convenient to play in the water.

This is our second staying here. It is very close to the beach, we really like this area. We really enjoyed our first stay,. On the second stay the first 2 mornings breakfast was served on paper plates with disposable cutlery. We were quite taken a back, it really makes the hotel look cheap and is not a sustainable practice. Considering the last 2 mornings it was a different cook and food was served on normal plates and coffee in coffee cups (which is for more sustainable and better for the environment), it really just seemed like the kitchen staff were to lazy to clean the dishes and that is why paper plates were used. However staff are friendly and helpful, rooms are clean.

Take a boat from Pier 4 in Central (you can use Alipay Hong Kong public transportation card) to Yung Shue Wan, which takes about half an hour. After getting off the boat, you will see several seafood restaurants and supermarkets, convenience stores, various bars, etc. on the island, and then there are houses, which are a pristine island fishing village style. After about 20 minutes of winding walk, you will see a small bay and a small beach shop like the one in Hong Kong movies. This is the front desk of Bi Hai Xuan. Check in here and pay a deposit. It is not recommended to buy water here. You can buy it in advance at the supermarket on the way here, about 6 yuan a bottle. Bi Hai Xuan is located in Hong Shengye Bay. The room faces the beach and the sea. The sand is relatively soft. It must be a popular local beach bathing beach in summer. The room is very small and the bed is only 1.3 meters. It is really not suitable for people who are used to sleeping in a big bed, but how to say it, Hong Kong's outlying islands may only be like this. After all, you don't come here to enjoy high-end hotels. The room facilities are basically complete and the conditions are average. Fortunately, the hot water is good, which can wash away the fatigue of the journey. We lived on the first floor, with a small courtyard of a few square meters (if it can be called a courtyard), so it was called a garden view room. It is 3 kilometers from Bi Hai Xuan to Sok Kwu Wan, about 50 minutes' walk. There are many seafood restaurants in Sok Kwu Wan, you can try them. But it was already evening when we checked in. Considering the winding mountain road and the lack of street lights, we went back to Rong Shue Wan to find a restaurant to eat. In fact, there are many choices, and there are many bars that foreigners like. By the way, there are many foreigners living on the island, maybe they prefer this kind of primitive life~

Nice little hotel with small rooms. It's a bit difficult for families of three people to fit into one room, but it's possible. Everything is very clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive.

The resort was pretty average – nothing spectacular but certainly not bad. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous. However, our unit was located on a hillside by the sea, so we encountered quite a few mosquitoes and bugs. Although there was a mosquito repellent device in the room, its loud, buzzing sound was quite disturbing, especially at night, making it difficult to sleep. Other than that, everything else was fine. The 1.2m bed is considered a double bed in Hong Kong. My kids loved swimming, so a one-night stay was perfectly acceptable despite the minor issues. It's very close to the beach, and the restaurant's food was also good. Guests also received a HKD 50 discount voucher.

What an amazing deal for a family room accommodating 6 people for one night! The room was actually more comfortable and spacious than it looked in the pictures. The only slight drawback was the 10-minute walk to the check-in area, but besides that, everything was perfect. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

  • Tsim Sha Tsui: Tsim Sha Tsui, located at the southern tip of the Kowloon Peninsula in Hong Kong, is one of the most representative and bustling areas in the city. It boasts a rich historical background and a modern appearance, and is renowned for its busy commercial district and multicultural characteristics. It features luxury shopping centers, internationally renowned hotels and high-rise buildings. At the same time, it retains historical traces, with many ancient buildings and museums. Showcase Hong Kong's culture and history. And don't forget to take a stroll along the Victoria Harbour at night and enjoy the breathtaking night view of Harbour City!
  • Sham Shui Po: Neon-lit electronics graveyards hide 80HKD(≈15.6 AUD) coffin hostel beds above secret hipster cafes. Steps from the cyberpunk Apliu Street flea market (protip: hunt for retro cameras at 7am before tech geeks swarm). Hong Kong’s Khao San Road—backpackers slurp $18 fishball noodles under dystopian signage, but post-11pm, it morphs into a Blade Runner set.
  • Central & Lan Kwai Fong: By day, finance bros sprint through IFC Mall; by night, Champagne soaks historic cobblestones. Gay bars hide behind Hollywood Road graffiti, with designer hotels (1200−3000+HKD≈235-587 AUD) along the Mid-Levels Escalator. Live for 3am chilli crab with baijiu shots? This is your neon-drenched playground—but avoid NYE: LKF becomes a champagne-supernova warzone where stilettos jam in storm drains.

  • Victoria Peak Tram: To reach the summit of Victoria Peak, taking one of the world's oldest and most renowned Peak Trams is definitely an unforgettable experience! The train climbs up the slope from an altitude of 28 meters to 396 meters (about 1,300 feet), and passengers can overlook the Victoria Harbour along the way. The tall buildings and thick bushes all seem to have fallen to one side. It's truly a wonderful feeling!
  • Temple Street Night Market: Temple Street Night Market, is a night market in Hong Kong that is full of authentic flavors. It is famous for its unique market atmosphere, a wide variety of goods and street snacks. To fully experience the charm of the Temple Street Night Market, it is recommended to visit after 8 p.m. At that time, the stalls are most complete and the atmosphere is the liveliest.

DDyliIt was a pleasant trip with my parents and family. Total 5 ppl for 2 rooms. Rooms were clean and quiet. The dining area was big and staffs were friendly. It’s quite a distance from Tai O village to hotel for elderly people, but you could take a boat there before 4pm. Overall, we all enjoyed it so much!

GGuest UserOur first time visit this hotel at Cheung chau, the building looks old but very well maintained, the room with the sea view was amazing, very clean spacious room, bathroom all very clean as well. The staffs were very friendly, we have even bought the breakfast in the hotel the next morning, simple breakfast but view was very nice. The garden was also well treated with many happy looking plants. We swam at the super clean water downstairs on the beach both arrival date and the next morning before check out. Highly recommended a short escape. This side of the hotel is located a little away from the busy ferry pier. We love the peace here very much, many options of good restaurants and little shops and cafe around. Thankyou so much.

SSolo Male - Long Term TravelTung Chung - 2 nights - private double room Expectation/Reality: this is the only provider of accommodation in the area so expectations need to be managed. They have the ability to essentially set terms, so the negative reviews here are likely from the folks who didn’t read the find print. The photos match the space very well. However the hostel reached out over what’s app a number of days before the booking asking for the $150 membership fee and $500 deposit, which I was not comfortable providing until arrival, however the hostel was okay with that. Security: very good, there is a gate lock and a lock to the door, very safe. Hygiene: overall very clean, no concerns. Hospitality: the check in and out process is all over what’s app, so you are at the mercy of how responsive they are which can be frustration when trying to get in. Once you are in, it’s fine. Social Atmosphere: good social spaces. Overall: given they essentially have a monopoly on accommodation in the area. It’s a pretty good spot. I accidentally broke the key and they came and fixed it the next day, but took off $50 from the deposit. So handle the keys gently. Over pretty good place.

AAnastassI’d not say that the hotel is the best, but it’s nice. I had everything what I needed, but the AC was very noisy in my room. The beautiful sea view made me happy. Morning breakfast was nice and delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant stops serving dinner very early. So, I enjoyed tasting food somewhere else. I’ve liked walking by the beach, watch some animals and hear birds singing. It’s a very peaceful and relaxing area. There’re many cafes, bars, shops and restaurants. I’ve just had one night, but I could take a rest.
