Absolutely fantastic. A surprise upgrade got us so addicted that we have to book that huge room again. Was it a marketing strategy? But it worked. We loved the view, by day and by night. The room was like 1000sqft with washing machine, dishes etc. Extra toilet was nice. Didn't use the oven but was a nice touch. The cleaning lady was alway ready to assist. This is by far my favourite hotel in HK now. The breakfast was....omg exceeded my expectation....was a little crowded but still, the staff was helpful, polite and professional.

Just a few steps away from the MTR station, this hotel offers great convenience for exploring the city. The complimentary shuttle service is a nice bonus — a great way to save some money on transportation! The breakfast buffet is decent, though it would be even better if they added more variety each day. One big plus is that shops and restaurants are located right within the hotel building, making dining and shopping super easy. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay in Hong Kong for both friends and families looking for comfort and convenience.

Check-in was efficient. Ms. Katherine Lai was very professional and helpful. My room was upgraded to one with greenery view, which was nice.
The room is spacious, bright and comfortable. Normally, room size is small in Hong Kong hotels for this category. Dorsett Tsuen Wan stands out and is really good as compared to other hotels I have stayed in Tsuen Wan. Excellent value.
Washroom is also spacious. There is a small gym, which again is a plus for this category of hotels.
The location is not as convenient as other hotels in the center of cities. However, Dorsett provides a free shuttle bus to a nearby shopping mall, Metroplaza, where yiu can take the subway MTR. Also, another shopping center is with 6 to 7 minutes walk from the hotel.
Housekeeping is good, vacuuming the carpet in the room every day.
Finally, bus A41P will take you from Hong Kong International Airport to a stop (”kin Tsuen” street), a 4-5 minutes walk from hotel. Then, at the same bus stop, talk A32 bus to airport, costs HK$19.80.
The staffs at concierge are also very helpful in directions and bus selection.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Dorsett Tsuen Wan. I will stay there again and highly recommend it.

I've stayed here multiple times. The location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, the rooms are cozy, and the bedding is soft and comfortable. There were no unpleasant odors in the bathroom. The service is absolutely impeccable; the front desk lady was warm and attentive. All in all, it's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I visit.

Here's what I always say: every time I stay at the Royal View, there's always a pleasant surprise!
It has become my top choice whenever I visit Hong Kong.
Although it's a bit far from the city center, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Tsuen Wan Station... the service is frequent and very convenient... and it's not too far from Disneyland either.
Service: The front desk staff, shuttle bus drivers, and doormen are all very nice.
Facilities: They have small toys that kids love, and the rooms are relatively spacious.
Cleanliness: Very clean and tidy.
Environment: It's by the sea, with ocean views, very relaxing!

The room was incredibly spacious, with multiple beds, and the surrounding area was also very pleasant. The only downsides were its somewhat remote location and the lack of breakfast.

I spontaneously decided to visit Hong Kong Disneyland in July and unexpectedly found this hotel at a great price. It seems to be more expensive now, but I would consider staying here again if the opportunity arises.
The location is about a 15-minute walk from Lai Chi Kok MTR station. There are many local 'cha chaan teng' (Hong Kong-style cafes) nearby, and some are genuinely delicious, but be aware that they only accept cash.
The room was really small, but I slept soundly, and it was quite clean. I was able to open my 20-inch suitcase flat.
You'll need to bring your own travel adapter as the hotel doesn't provide them. No deposit is required.

The Auberge Discovery Bay Hong Kong is an absolute gem! The rooms are exceptionally spacious for Hong Kong, with soft and comfortable bedding. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning sea views, and you can even see the Tsing Ma Bridge lit up at night.
The staff provides incredibly thoughtful service; they patiently answered all our questions and even proactively upgraded our room, which really enhanced our experience. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a private beach, and the breakfast is abundant and delicious. The free WiFi signal is also super stable.
Although it's a bit far from the city center, there's a shuttle bus directly to Tsuen Wan Station, and it's also very convenient to get to Disneyland. It offers excellent value for money and is definitely a top choice for family trips!

The location is just okay since it located near some kind of industrial area. There are many trucks and litter around the area of the hotel. But it is quite all right because the hotel is located near the Kwai Hing MTR station. There are also no nearby convenience stores. The room is clean but space is quite tight. There is no space for a cabinet or wardrobe inside the room. The main drawback is the temperature of the room - it was hot during our entire stay. The temperature could not be adjusted so they just proved us with an electric fan but this was not enough. Shampoo and body wash as well as toothbrushes are provided. There are light snacks available at the lobby during the morning. Our room had amazing views of the city. Overall, our stay was good but I cannot recommend it for everyone.

Getting Around
- MTR/Trams: Mass Transit Railway (MTR) covers malls (Causeway Bay) and Kowloon (connect via Star Ferry). Ding Ding trams glide through Central for 2.3HKD(≈0.45 AUD) – hop on the upper deck!
- Buses/Minibuses: Buses cost 4–25HKD (≈0.78–4.90 AUD) but routes twist through hills – use Citymapper or HKeMobility. Red mini buses run 24/7 (8–20HKD≈1.57–3.91 AUD) – shout stops aloud!
- Taxis: Urban taxis start at 27HKD(≈5.30 AUD) – ALWAYS demand meter use! Uber/HKTaxi app fares 30% cheaper at night. No tuk-tuks – replaced by harbour sampans (50HKD≈9.80 AUD short rides).
- Ferries: Star Ferry crosses Victoria Harbour for 4HKD (≈0.78 AUD) – sunsets over skyscrapers are priceless. Avoid MTR rush hours (8-9:30am / 6-7:30pm) unless you enjoy human sardine mode!

GGuest UserWe really enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Lodge. It has a lot of character and is very different from many other more standard hotels you could choose. It’s up on a hill with a great view and a cooler breeze than down in the main district area. The room was basic but comfortable, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a bit of trek up and down from Mei Foo metro station, but there are two lifts to help you bypass most of the stairs. The accommodation is within what was once an old hospital complex and there’s an event centre and cafe on site. Good place to base yourself from if you fancy something different.

AAnonymous UserI booked the dinosaur themed room and the reaction of my daughters was fantastic when I asked them to go into the room first. Their screams of delight and surprise were priceless. The hotel is on the the top floor of an ark shaped building and in an interesting and scenic location on Ma Wan island - it makes a good picture from the outside. I read somewhere that this Ark was built to the dimensions of Noah’s Ark described in the Bible, which is pretty fascinating. I like the ethos of the hotel which emphasises looking after our environment (we only have one Earth) and respecting nature and one another.
Our room was perfect for a family of 4. It has two showers and two toilets which is very unusual for any hotel room, but very convenient when all trying to get ready at the same time. I recommend this for a family stay.

GGuest UserStayed at Hotel Ease Tsuen Wan since I had a tattoo session nearby. The location’s a bit farther than most HK spots, but their shuttle service made everything easy. They have a fixed schedule for pick-up and drop-off, which was super helpful. Didn’t get to take other photos aside from their shuttle schedule haha! Clean, comfy, and worth it for a quick stay.

At first, I saw reviews mentioning it was a bit far from the subway station, but then I found out there's a mini-bus right in front of the hotel that goes directly to the subway. That just made this hotel absolutely perfect in my eyes, I love it!

SSteven DowsonWe arrived late, maybe 11.30pm, but were greeted warmly and checked in smoothly. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the environment peaceful. Shower was hot and worked well, all towels and linen were clean, toilet was clean, and the room itself clean enough. It looked like it must have been a child's bedroom once because there were glow-in-the-dark decals of planets stuck on the walls and ceiling. This room is fine if you are traveling on a budget and need somewhere to sleep and keep your things while you explore Hong Kong, location is away from the centre but metro a short walk that will take you straight to Central Station. Was a bit difficult to find down a back street.
