I caught the Zushi Beach fireworks in Kamakura! I picked up some food nearby to bring along. The beach was completely packed with people... Afterwards, I had dessert at a beachfront brunch spot and discovered some lovely little hidden gems. Kamakura city truly has a fantastic food scene – I even indulged in a fried food set meal!

I booked the bunk-bed room, which turned out to be incredibly small and very inconvenient. The following day, I found a guesthouse run by a local near Enoshima for a comparable price. There, I had access to the entire property, including a lounge, a study area, a bathroom, and free laundry facilities. It was a perfect experience, and I highly recommend seeking out similar options. When visiting Kamakura, I suggest simply buying the Enoden One-Day Pass, as all the main attractions are within a 10-minute ride on the Enoden line. The only advantage of the bunk-bed room was its closeness to the beach.

I only booked this place because nothing else was available in the area. It truly leaves much to be desired: the metal beds creak loudly with every movement, the rooms are tiny, and it can be quite uncomfortable with other guests. On the positive side, there's a spacious common area and complimentary coffee.

The location is fantastic – definitely the biggest highlight of this place. The building itself is a charming wooden structure. The room was adequate, a bit small, but perfectly fine as we only needed it for sleeping. The shared bathroom was clean. Slippers were not provided, and there was an extra charge for towels or luggage storage.
On the day we checked out, a very strange thing happened: a completely naked man was sleeping on the sofa in the common area. I'm not sure if he was a guest. He remained there, sleeping, for a few hours. Perhaps the property needs better supervision?

It's fine for a single night. The mixed-gender dorms were a bit inconvenient. There's a bar on the ground floor.

It's an okay place to stay, but the room was quite small. The owner seemed alright.

The location was fantastic – really close to the station, a convenience store, and just a short walk to the beach. The staff were also very friendly. However, the bathroom was full of mold, and the door was broken off. Plus, the changing room door had so many gaps that it was impossible to change clothes privately. Overall, I definitely felt that hygiene was a major issue, but considering how cheap it was, I guess you get what you pay for. I'd recommend bringing your own slippers and towels.

Exorbitant fees and predatory terms everywhere! Absolutely no mention of them before booking, and no cancellations allowed once booked! The location is extremely remote. The property owner doesn't accept evening check-ins and then demands various surcharges! It's utterly unaccommodating and completely shattered my perception of Japanese hospitality. In the end, they refused my check-in and still wouldn't issue a refund. To all Chinese tourists, absolutely avoid this place! Otherwise, you might just find yourself sleeping on the streets!

it was a really nice stay, the location is convenient, it is 5 min walk from the station and some other tourist spots. The facilities are a bit old that the beds are making squeaky sounds and the air conditioner went from hot to cold and from cold to hot within seconds, hope they fix it.

Location was fantastic, the staff there was very friendly. However, the amenities are aging, would recommend that they refurnished some of their furniture.

We were there a day and it rained all the time. Suppose that in sunny days it is fantastic. The room was very small but the bed wasn’t.
Very good service from an English speaking person.
The bar was coasy.

Easy located near a train station and with minutes to a convenience store and the historical buildings. Roims are a bit studded with too many people and single glass to the living room and you can hear everyone they say in there if you are trying to sleep. Convenient and cheap spot. Not all Catherine can be used at night
