"The homestay was very spacious and basic. Nothing fancy, but aircon and water heater works well. Would hv been perfect if there were power points next to bedside, which could be rectified by extension cords. Would it be too much to ask for a washing machine? Would make it a perfect 10. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you."

"We spent 2D1N at Hijau @ Gopeng and to our surprise, we had the entire place to ourselves! Arriving to such peaceful exclusivity instantly set the tone for a truly relaxing getaway. Our room was spacious and just right for the three of us, with a queen bed and a single bed. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Faiz, who showed us around and explained everything. One unique touch no curtains on the balcony doors, so you can fully immerse yourself in nature. And honestly, it made the experience even more special. Every room faces the river, so sitting on the balcony meant being surrounded by the soothing sounds of flowing water, birds, and insects. Pure serenity. We didn’t plan any activities we simply soaked in the calm and quiet atmosphere. Dinner was definitely a highlight! The resident chef prepared a generous BBQ feast served in a tiffin. We had vegetables, rice soup, and fruits, along with grilled fish, squid, and chicken all absolutely delicious and more than enough for us. We also had the chance to meet the lovely owners, Tina and Ben, along with their kids. Such warm and welcoming people. We even ended the night playing fireworks together simple, joyful moments that made the trip even more memorable. The next morning, we enjoyed a simple yet satisfying breakfast of noodles, roti canai, and some local kuih such a comforting way to start the day. If you’re looking for a peaceful nature retreat away from the crowds, this is definitely a place to consider 💚"
