"We decided to stay in Karachi Pakistan as we have been travelling extensively and it was a stopover on our way home towards Australia from Europe. We chose the Pearl Continental as it had very good reviews on service and security. The hotel has 4 restaurants with a very good choice of cuisines. All of the staff are very friendly and attentive. On check-in we were upgraded to an Executive room which was very spacious and comfortable. The hotel is showing signs of age and is due for a revamp but the rooms are still very comfortable. Karachi isn’t really a tourist destination but we enjoyed our stay and hired a driver for the day to see the sights. Thank you Pearl Continental for making us Australian Tourists so welcome."

However, Ctrip customer service kept saying they were "communicating with the hotel" and would handle it once their manager arrived. I mean, besides the manager, is there no one else in the entire hotel capable of handling this? I waited all day, and only the next day did they reply with "cannot be cancelled." Isn't this blatant rip-off? Are they desperate to make money? This kind of service is absolutely terrible."

"We travelled from Hyderabad with a group of 32 family members and were expecting a fun day together. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from start to finish. Long waits at entry and overcrowded changing rooms meant we lost most of our time. We were also charged full tickets for children who appeared to be below the age limit, but no one was willing to properly address the issue. Later, restaurant supervisor behaved rudely and rushed us through lunch, leaving us with barely 1.5 hours to enjoy the park. To make things worse, the water quality seemed poor, and several family members experienced skin irritation after returning home. For the amount charged, we expected much better customer service, crowd management, and guest care. I hope Dreamworld management takes this feedback seriously and improves the experience for families visiting from other cities. Sadly, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Dreamworld Resort to others"

"We had a good stay at Ambiance. The staff were really friendly, the art boutique theme runs throughout the hotel with some great pictures all over from the rooms to reception and in the dining area. The location is good, good security and the rooms were clean and comfortable. My only niggle was the breakfast. The hotel had a breakfast buffet set up without any juices available. Given it’s a 5 star hotel this should be standard and available when you first arrive for breakfast. There were no plates or bowls at the breakfast buffet available as well as no milk for the cereal. We had to ask the staff to get the basics…. when asked for toast, very dry toast eventually arrived without any butter and non available on the buffet table. the breakfast was set up to order the juice from the waiter and to use a scanning system to order from the menu.. not practical and time consuming and definitely not a readily available breakfast when your in a rush to grab and go.. gave the staff some feedback, however the next day had not improved other than milk and bowls on the buffet table. I hope this hotel takes constructive feedback and starts to look at other 5 star hotels locally to see how they do it and learn what the expectations of guests are for a 5 star hotel. Otherwise as stated the staff were lovely and the boutique feel of the hotel is great. But please get your breakfast improved!"
