The Peninsula Hotel has always felt like a second home to us, no matter where in the world we are. It was wonderful to return again this time. On our previous stay, the front desk manager provided exceptional service that left a lasting impression on us. During this visit, we also utilized the concierge's mailing service. They were incredibly professional and patient, resolving our issues promptly. In total, four concierge staff assisted us during check-in and check-out. My daughter was so grateful that she gave each of them a £10 tip—they truly deserved it. The hotel's Chinese restaurant was excellent as well. The staff there were incredibly warm and clearly took pride in their work, creating a delightful atmosphere. I should also mention that the rooms were spotlessly clean. I'd like to share that we've been avid fans of The Peninsula Hotel's afternoon tea since the hotel opened. We've enjoyed countless afternoon teas and breakfasts here over the years. However, I must note that during peak afternoon tea hours, when the restaurant is bustling with guests, the service can be slow. We often find ourselves waiting quite a while for assistance. During breakfast, there have been some issues, too. We've experienced order mix-ups, and on one occasion, the food wasn't fresh. During my most recent breakfast, the fruit bowl I ordered contained moldy blueberries and rotten strawberries. A blonde, fair-skinned staff member noticed the problem but didn't offer an apology. Instead, she simply said they wouldn't charge me for the fruit bowl. I just smiled and didn't press the matter further, but I believe that outstanding service should always be a top priority for The Peninsula. Compared to stays at The Emory and Maybourne Hotel, whose staff showed remarkable warmth and attentiveness, I think there’s room for improvement. Every time I go on a business trip, my boss will ask me to stay here. I believe that the environment and service here will win the trust and love of my boss. If I have the opportunity to travel to London, I will definitely experience the services here.

Very close to Southwark tube station which is on the Jubilee line. Most of the hot attractions are within walking distance if you want to get your steps in, otherwise plenty of other modes of transport. The staff were very pleasant and friendly

I have booked a room capable for 4 people, but the hotel could not provide it due to the maintenace is on progress. They provides us 2 seperate room to us, but with free 4 breakfast while we stayed . Overall stay, the room is comfortable and the place is convenience to go to the Paddington statation. Many restaurants nearby with nice atmosphere.

The room is big and view to the Tower of Londen is good on high floors. There are coffee machine, microwave, stove and washing machine inside the room, good enough for a few days stay. Location is very close to the metro station, and is convenient to take the circle line metro to many other places. First day arrival at the hotel was a bit dusty and stains on the floors, but they cleaned up the day after. Even though it was supposed to be a smoke-free hotel, there’s a strong smoking smell inside the room, and couldn’t get rid of the smell even we opened up the window, the smell remained even after our 5-nights stay.

The room was decent but quite small, around 20-25 square meters. It did have a full-length mirror, which was handy. The window was also small, but it didn't really bother us as we were out for most of the day. If you prefer spacious rooms, you might want to consider other options! The hotel is a bit old, but the overall quality of materials used in the rooms and public areas was still quite good. Breakfast was pretty standard. While they offered the option to order à la carte for an extra fee if you weren't satisfied, I still wished the complimentary breakfast could have been more varied. The best thing about this hotel was definitely its location. It's incredibly close to the subway station (about 200 meters) and the British Museum (a 6-7 minute walk). It's also very near King's Cross/St. Pancras Station (I believe it's just one subway stop away). We encountered a few minor issues right after check-in, but Trip.com's customer service was excellent, and the hotel's service was good too!

My experience at this hotel was truly awful! Firstly, despite having numerous rooms, the hotel's public transport access is mediocre; it's over a 10-minute walk to the nearest station. Inside the room, the lampshade was wobbly, and they were incredibly stingy with tissues (the box was empty after just a few pulls). Secondly, when the shower drain was blocked, I called maintenance. The person who came simply pulled out the drain cover as a 'fix'. Thirdly, and most critically, the air conditioning was broken, making the room stiflingly hot. There was a noticeable temperature difference between the room and the hallway when the door was opened, which even the maintenance staff acknowledged. Their astonishing 'solution' was to provide me with a fan. I went down to the front desk to request a room change, but a young night shift attendant mumbled that all rooms were booked. He vaguely promised some compensation at check-out the next day, without specifying what it would be. Because it was too hot to sleep, at 12 AM, I went downstairs in my pajamas and firmly demanded a room change. After another 20-minute wait, we finally moved to another room. They offered an apology and asked if we wanted water or something else. We asked for water, and to our dismay, they sent an unsealed bottle of what looked like tap water they'd filled themselves! (How did they even have the nerve to send something like that!) I couldn't help but wonder if they were trying to rip off Chinese guests like this, especially for a 1900-yuan room. The more I thought about it, the angrier I got, so I went back down to ask if they had sealed small bottled water. The front desk attendant immediately understood and promptly sent a proper sealed bottle! So, they had them all along! If my English were better, I would have given them a piece of my mind right there and then! Does one bottle of water really compensate for losing sleep in the middle of the night and the ordeal of moving rooms with all our luggage? The hotel's service is dreadful and incredibly stingy! An utterly terrible experience!

The hotel front desk was very welcoming and professional, but the room was a bit small. Everything else was good. The big bed was very comfortable. The room was close to the road and it was not noisy with soundproof glass. There were no disposable toiletries and slippers in the bathroom, so you need to bring your own. The breakfast was delicious, especially the croissants. It was a pleasant trip!

A brand new hotel, so there were a few teething issues but staff were friendly and quick to assist. The location is excellent for local transport links and many popular London spots are within walking distance too. The kitchen facilities in tge room are also an excellent way to save some money allowing you to balance eating out with sone gone prepped good too.
