Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa Reviews

The hotel was beautiful and in good location for those who like the chaweng area. However, there was something major that was really disappointing for me when I am going to an hotel in a level like this. The shower was terrible, in a level that I can say that I couldn't really shower. In the beginning there were no hot water and after a little fix there were hot water but in a really low stream that you can't really shower. I tried to talk with the receptionist 3 times. The first time they said they will fix it and didn't, the second time I called them from my room cold and dirty with the towel and they came to fix buy as I said they didn't really fix it. After that I came to the reception to tell them that it's still not working and that it's disappointing and they said they have nothing to do!! This is not something that I would expect from a hotel like this. Another weird thing was that when we came to do check out, the receptionist forced us to write 5/5 review in front of her eyes and write the name of some of them in the review and she didn't really ask how was the experience for us. This stress wasn't comfortable for us.

Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa is a white sand slice of heaven. It’s staff is beyond friendly and extremely hardworking, it’s on-site restaurant is delicious and has a varied menu, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the beach is idyllic (and maintained daily), Rachavadee Spa is relaxing and professional, and the front desk and room service are eager to assist in want of any need. If your desire is to stay on the busier side (the east side) of Koh Samui, close to beachside restaurants and bars, this is the perfect place to be.

Great location.

The rooms on the second floor are nice and bright! The room cleaning is excellent, the bed linen is changed every day, the breakfasts are varied and delicious, there is enough for everyone. The location is in Chaweng-center, the beach is excellent, the sun loungers are good, the pool is clean and pleasant. The staff is always working and caring about the guest. Well done!

Good hotel, convenient location in the center of Chaweng next to Central Samui. Beautiful well-kept area with trees and palms. The beach is one of the best in Chaweng, clean with convenient entry into the sea.

A very quiet hotel in the middle of busy Chaweng. The sea is also very good on this part of the beach, even though there are nicer beaches on Samui. To the left of the beach the beach is terrible, dirty beach, half-finished houses. Baan Chaweng Beach Resort has a reasonably good sea and a good beach and is an affordable hotel in busy Chaweng and you are in good hands here.

The location seems to be the best on Chaweng Beach... a 2-3 minute walk from Central Samui. The ocean right outside the resort is ideal for swimming. Other resorts have more coral and are shallower. However, the hotel staff was extremely unfriendly, especially the older man with glasses at the front desk. I initially booked a 5-night stay on the ground floor, but was assigned the second floor and told that it was fully booked and I had to move after two nights. I couldn't do that. I argued that I hadn't booked that way, and they allowed me to stay in my second-floor room. After checking in, the air conditioning in my room broke, so I had to call someone twice to change rooms, but they refused because the hotel was fully booked. At Trip.com's request, I was moved to the Chaweng Garden right next door for a 4-night stay for a flat fee. Chaweng Garden is superior to Ban Chaweng in every way. If you're considering booking this property, I recommend checking the prices at Chaweng Garden first.

Very good location negative point noisy air conditioning and room not sufficiently soundproofed by the noise of music from the bars next door

The atmosphere is very good. Breakfast is good. But the room looks old but clean. I would like to change the curtains to make them dark.

The sand of Chaweng Beach in front of the hotel is fine and just avoids the rocks, which is very suitable for sunbathing and beach activities. The room is very clean but the facilities are old. The deafening music from the bar a hundred meters away will not stop until 2:00 in the evening

Great location, friendly staff who promptly resolve all issues. Delicious breakfasts, privacy and a very beautiful, green hotel area.
