"This place is fabulous! My husband and I did tons of research looking for an affordable getaway in the Caribbean to escape our busy lives in the U.S. and we definitely found it at Bamboo Bonaire! We were looking for serenity and relaxation and this place offers some of the best! Every detail was taken care of straight down to an electric mosquito zapper for our room. The service was impeccable, the amenities abundant, and a private lunch pool made us feel like royalty! Would 10/10 recommend to those looking for a quiet island getaway!"

The location is beautiful, modern, clean and fully equipped. We stayed in a studio with 2 people and it was more than fine! Everything, absolutely everything you need is in it. It is very practically furnished. Even 2 beach towels are included."

Sand Dollar Bonaire

"Sand Dollar was the perfect place to stay for our dive-focused vacation. First off - the grounds and beach-front property are just beautiful. The condos are located adjacent to Dive Friends scuba shop and a cute, water-front restaurant. A small beach and dive pier are conveniently located next to the resort and the Bari reef is just beautiful for snorkeling or diving. If diving with Dive Friends, the boat will pick you up right at the pier for boat dives. While we were not aware of it initially, there is also a pool for Sand Dollar guests associated with Eddy's restaurant (which is amazing by the way - we went twice for food!). There are also tennis courts as well. The room we were in was well-stocked, clean and comfortable. There is construction going on currently (for the parking lot), but this never disrupted our stay. Even if you are not diving, the condos are conveniently located to the downtown area, surrounded by lots of good shops and restaurants, and is positioned for easy access when driving towards the north end of the island. We would 100% return....and plan to!"

"Once again very well received. The food was super tasty and the location is ideal to stay as a diver or as a tourer. We have been here 7 years ago and have noticed that the accommodations need some refreshment. The swimming pool can be busy because of the locals and schools."

"The kitchen is great ! Chef is artist ! Rooms are not what you expect ! It is kind of a more Camping than hotel . There are no screens on shutters , so you have to sleep under mosquito net . Also sense there are no window glass , all of the outside noises + cigarette smoke from you neighbours will wake you up all hours of the morning , night & when ever they feel like having cigarettes in other end of the shares porch ! So our bedroom was filled more often with cigarette smoke than none ! After two days of it I have been coughing daily ! Horrible planning putting none- smokers and smokers to share the same porch ! Not mentioning sense young lady & her boyfriend live there , their porch end is always filled with dirty dishes , trash etc ?! Not what you would expect out of resort type of place ! Your part kitchen is outside , behind the shelf are your neighbours ! Bedroom is too small to have night stands. Toilet is visible from bed , so good luck with any privacy !"

Room was everything we could ask for, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Sylvia goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is all it can be. Definitely recommend and we are returning in the fall for another two weeks."
