"Visited Largs for the day after competing in the Bute Highland games 10k. I checked in early, which was no problem. Location very handy for town and seafront. Room was spotless with a great selection of tea and coffee. Breakfast ,wow, what can I say, absolutely fantastic. Great host as well"

"Hostess was welcoming and very helpful regarding local places to visit. Room was clean and spacious, with an ensuite bathroom. Tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave in room. Would definitely stay again. Breakfast was not included."

The Old Rectory

"Nice bright clean room with shower en-suite. Too many "rules" dictated on arrival eg.shoes off immediately whilst in house to" keep house clean" ( why have a very pale grey stair and landing carpet?! ) Poorly thought out front door key arrangement. One key per couple to be locked before and after leaving and entering. We felt the poor lady who greeted us was the unfortunate bearer of instructions of a hard taskmaster. Breakfast not offered or even mentioned All in all for a relaxing stay, steer clear. "
