"We had often been told that this restaurant is good but were disappointed by its lack of originality. Old fashioned plate decoration with nasturtium flowers and unesthetically applied smears of sauce, dry overcooked chicken, not particularly fresh fish, a manager who clearly couldn't wait to see the back of us. Shan't be dashing back in a hurry."

"This hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it's perfectly adequate if you're traveling by car. I booked with breakfast included and was satisfied with it. However, for dinner, which was a buffet, I was simply told that the charge would be added to my room bill, without being shown the actual receipt. The next morning at checkout, I still wasn't shown the receipt. I didn't have time to dispute it, but I wonder if this is standard practice?"

"History Buffs; you couldn't find authentic lodging than Jardins de la Contie! According to the English owner Ken, the farm was built in the mid 1300's. It was a labor of love for Ken and his wife to restore it. He was a wealth of information about the countryside, Figeac, and the historic places around Figeac. Our room was perfectly equipped with refrigerator, tea maker, coffee maker, and four beds; one King and two Singles. It was on the first level the property, surrounded by fields and ancient lanes which you can walk from the compound of three cottages plus a cool heated swimming pool. The breakfast was standard French fair, but topped off with a lively discussion with Ken about life in the Middle Ages and his efforts to totally restore the buildings. It's approximately 7 km from Figeac on good roads. I highly recommend this B&B to anyone interested in history and is one of our favorite places to stay in SW France!"

"We had a wonderful two-day stay with Noubar and Bernard in July 2024 with our daughter and my husband's parents. The house is gorgeous, comfortable and extremely relaxing. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast including Noubar's excellent croissants & pain chocolates. Each evening started with a delicious glass of wine followed by the most spectacular dinner accompanied by excellent wine and, on one occasion, the best rhum BaBa I have ever tasted! We enjoyed great talks with Noubar and Bernard and left with full bellies and fond memories. Thank you, and I apologize for taking so long to write this review."
