"The room was dirty The door to the Juliet balcony had a cracked window The wall had a hole The shower door was rusty Erotic art was not appreciated I don’t think they vacuum the rug regularly Not close to a 4 star. Maybe a one star."

"Just a perfect spot to stay in with the family. Both toddler and teenager had a fabulous time playing around the villa. It was so quiet and nothing was too much trouble for our host Gianni. He welcomed us with all the information we required and made us instantly feel at home. Our rooms were adjoining leading out to the lovely terrace. All was clean and practical. Communal fully equipped kitchen was a blessing for the family. Outdoor area is bliss and a wide variety of facilities offered. Place needs a little TLC but everything we needed functioned well. The EV charging stations were such a relief especially after a day driving around Sicily. I'd highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway in the peaceful laid back serenity of Modica."

Competent and friendly staff; thorough cleaning of the entire hotel; comfortable room and perfect bathroom; excellent and complete breakfast in terms of variety and quality; large private and safe parking; the swimming pool is very beautiful and very clean and finally the park is heavenly. Having breakfast on the veranda surrounded by the greenery of the park is an experience worth the entire stay. Absolutely to recommend to friends and return at the first opportunity."

Torre Don Virgilio Country Hotel

"Our stay at Hotel Torre Virgilio was very disappointing. The room we were given had no window, only a small high vent, something that was not mentioned when booking. The next morning, we also discovered there was no hot water. We decided to leave, but the hotel refused to refund the second night we had already paid for. Overall, the experience fell far short of what one would expect from a four-star hotel, both in terms of its facilities and the quality of customer service"

"Stacci Rural Resort is a modern, safe, and exceptionally clean find that served as a perfect base for our six night trip to Sicily. The accommodations were well proportioned and maintained to a high standard, though most guests only stayed for a night or two. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious daily breakfast, which featured a fantastic selection of fresh local produce. Friendly staff made us feel welcome, though it would be helpful if the bar’s daytime availability was more clearly communicated. For those staying longer, the addition of a kettle, chopping board, and knife would greatly improve simple in room meal preparation. Please note that a car is absolutely essential for staying at this beautifully presented rural retreat."
