"Very nice hotel. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful. The hotel covers a very large area. In addition to accommodation, there are bars and restaurants. The only thing you need to get used to is that the hotel's floor is made of wood and creaks a bit when you walk on it. The lemon tree in the hotel is really good, with a lot of lemons growing there. Just before Christmas, lemons are in season."

"We went on the package, stay dine wine and breakfast. Fabulous value. The pub is very homely with fire place and big comfy couches. Our Room was big with views into the forest. The king bed was very comfortable great linen heated bath towel rail, big bathroom. Everything supplied for your comfort. Di and her team were very accommodating. The 3 course meal was fabulous, the boys in the kitchen are very good Chefs. It was very yummy, as was the breakfast next morning. I would highly recommend the Black Spur hotel for their package deal?"

"We were really excited about our stay at Woodlands but as soon as we arrived and saw the cottage where the reception was housed, we started to have concerns. There were dead plants at the entrance, random pieces of wood on the ground, and some faded outdated notices about Covid-19 measures pinned to the windows. It was instantly clear that the retreat had seen better days - the signs indicating the direction of the cabins were faded and there were piles of leaves on the roofs of the cabins. When we opened the door to our cabin, we were met with a nauseating odour of menthol/pine scented cleaning fluid. Despite opening all the windows, the smell remained hours later. There was a large, poorly repaired crack in the bathtub and the water flowing from the tap was brown. The jar of jam in the breakfast basket provided had a broken seal, indicating that it had perhaps already been used. We decided to cut our stay short due to the aforementioned reasons and left at 8pm on our first night. The next day, our clothes smelled strongly of the cleaning fluid and we had to wash them before we could wear them again. The owners really need to improve their property urgently."

"We absolutely loved our one night stay at The Warby. So much love has been put into the restoration and renovation of this 1966 motel and it really shows. So pleased they have been able to keep some of the original features too and add modern comforts. It’s super clean, comfortable and quiet. Lovely white towels, very comfortable bed and everything just felt super cosy. Lovely grounds too. We’d love to stay again in warmer weather."
