"SCAM HOTEL AND SCAM TRIP.com IN PRICING AND ADVERTISEMENT !!! DO NOT BOOK!!! I checked in and immediately checked out because the room was in unacceptable condition — dirty bathroom, damaged furniture, and a severely indented mattress. The actual state of the property was completely different from the photos and description. What is equally concerning is the misrepresentation through Trip.com. The listing, reviews, and images created an expectation that did not match reality at all. After comparing with Google reviews, the discrepancies were obvious. Check any bookings done in @trip.com and the reviews they put against google reviews and other platforms. THEY DIFFER TREMENDOUSLY! Paying $230 for a room that was uninhabitable and unusable is unacceptable. This was not a minor issue — it was a basic standards failure and a lack of transparency in how the property is advertised on booking platforms."

"The location is absolutely perfect. Okayama feels like the cheapest area in Japan; I even saw drinks for 80 and 100 yen in vending machines. You can reach AEON via an underground passage for one-stop shopping. Next to Muji, there's a big supermarket where you can snag discounted sashimi after 8 PM by following the staff (who put out yellow tags) 😄. Across the street, there's a row of eateries; I particularly enjoyed the fish broth noodles at a ramen shop called Oki something. There's also a Don Quijote nearby, which is convenient for late-night shopping, and it's quite affordable. However, the budget supermarket LAMU, recommended by some influencers, isn't worth a visit. There's a bus to Okayama Airport, but it's best to check the schedule the night before. If you have lunch at Okayama Station and then take the bus for an China Eastern flight to Shanghai, you might miss it. Taking the JR to Kurashiki is also very convenient, and the outlet mall at Kurashiki Station is great for browsing. I'm planning to bring my parents here for a week next time."
