Piazza Marina

Piazza Marina

📍 Salita Partanna, 3, Palermo
★★★★ 9.1 (12 reviews)

"The experience at B&B Piazza Marina is one of those that quickly turned from a dream to a nightmare. As a Palermo resident with a guest in tow, I booked two nights at this beautiful B&B, specifying that I would need the ZTL pass, a service advertised on the website. I quickly communicated the license plate to the operator via Whatsapp who, very kindly, took note and assured me that he would communicate the license plate. All ok, I enjoyed the weekend in the Palermo area, accessing the ZTL by car on all 3 days of my stay. I made sure by phone that the ZTL pass had been activated - in fact on all 3 days - (a pass costing €5...) and I was told to "stay calm", because "everything is fine". Ok. But, after 3 months... BAM! I was notified of 2 fines for unauthorized access to the ZTL, for a total of €142! I therefore ask for explanations to the B&B's Whatsapp channel and... they candidly confirm that they entered the request only for the first day, not for the following ones. Do you realize? Despite my request and the reservation for 2 nights, they limited themselves to paying the pass only for the first day and, moreover, reassuring me that they would have communicated for the following days. Incredible. For a €5 daily pass. I will avoid telling you about the management of my request to have recognized the amount of the fines... they also accused me of wanting to "extort money" from them... In short... yet another example of "improvisation" by amateurs. There are better places around Palermo, go there if you really can't find anything available."

Bellevue del Golfo Hotel & Spa Hotels in Palermo

Bellevue del Golfo Hotel & Spa

"Nightmare hotel, non-existent cleanliness, sheets dirty with hair (of various kinds, I can imagine), tablecloths the same thing. The room was completely destroyed, even the backrest collapsed during the night. The bathroom was completely broken, the sink was blocked, I advise you not to be fooled by the photos, it was a nightmare stay. The breakfast was unfortunately very bad, horrible and disgusting. Nothing salvageable also because the structure is falling apart. Unfortunately for this hotel I can't find a reason to return, 0."

"This hotel is simply wonderful with a splendid view. It's packed with amenities and conveniences, and the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend!"

Palazzo Cartari Hotels in Palermo

Palazzo Cartari

"This hotel is a little gem in the heart of the city. Hotel location is perfect only a five minute walk to the four corners. Staff are super friendly and attentive honestly would do anything for you. We had booked half board as it came as part of the package but only ate in the hotel the first night as wanted to try different places but this was a mistake as the meal in the hotel was by far the nicest meal we had. Will definitely be back to this hotel anytime we visit Palermo."

Divisi Suites & Spa Hotels in Palermo

Divisi Suites & Spa

"Set in a beautiful historic building right in the centre of Palermo , this place is perfect . The hosts are proactive to ensure you are happy . Breakfast is in a beautiful lounge area and such a wonderful selection of delicious foods . Our room was huge with lovely bathroom and plenty of light . A few steps to the right to main shopping street and a few more to one of the best pedestrian streets with bars and restaurants. Only 10 minutes walk to central station ."

Una Terrazza Sul Golfo Hotels in Palermo

Una Terrazza Sul Golfo

"Superb B&B in a fantastic location overlooking the sea. Our room had everything we needed, the owner and staff were very nice and helpful. A big shame that their English skills were very minimal to non-existent, so at times it was hard to communicate. Breakfast on the terrace was ok, a bit average. We enjoyed sitting on our own little balcony though - eating, having a drink and enjoying the sea view and the busy promenade below us. We really enjoyed our stay there. Totally recommended."

B&b Ballarattik Hotels in Palermo

B&b Ballarattik

"The place is nicely located, close to everything including the train/bus station (6/7 min). The owners are really kind and made a beautiful spot in the hearth of the city just on top of the thiusand year-old market. At first it could look a bit disconcerting when arriving near the hotel, but once you reach the place, you won’t regret it. And the view is also amazing! Really good restaurant just in front of the place (I would recommend this one over another one in the left-alley, although it was really well presented, this one is half the price for 10 times the taste!)"

BB 22 Charming Rooms & Apartments Hotels in Palermo

BB 22 Charming Rooms & Apartments

"Stayed 1 night at the start of 14-day Sicily trip and then 2 nights at the end of my trip. Both times, the staff coordinated a taxi airport transfer with Tony; it went very smooth. As a solo, older female traveler, location was great for walking to restaurants, Teatro Massimo, & train station. The back streets were a little tricky to navigate but between the map that BB22 provided and my phone’s Google Maps, I learned my way. The staff remembered me on my 2nd stay & were very friendly. 3rd floor room, across the hall from breakfast, was spacious, clean, & quiet."

Palazzo Natoli Boutique Hotel Hotels in Palermo

Palazzo Natoli Boutique Hotel

"The room is large. It looks like an old house from the outside, but it has been renovated inside. The service is great! Breakfast was great! It's very close to the pedestrian street and attractions, so it's very convenient to eat out and hang out!"

Splendori Rooms Hotels in Palermo

Splendori Rooms

"Sicilian Weekend... Everything was perfect... The property is welcoming, but the owners, a mother and daughter, are even more so... Super clean, with daily bath linen changes, and the icing on the cake was breakfast, served at their downstairs café, where you can sample the delicacies Sicily has to offer. Thank you for everything, we'll see you again very soon!!! NAPLES GROUP ❤️"

Palazzo Brunaccini Boutique Hotel Hotels in Palermo

B&B Hotel Palermo Quattro Canti Hotels in Palermo

B&B Hotel Palermo Quattro Canti

"This hotel desperately needs a renovation; it's incredibly worn out, and everything feels like it's past its prime. The room I got didn't match the photos at all; the window looked out onto some kind of dilapidated internal shaft. The furniture was old, and while the linens were clean, they had holes. The breakfast area was in terrible condition, as were the chairs and tables. There weren't enough seats for breakfast, so we often had to wait. The tables weren't cleared, so I had to clean them myself. I definitely don't recommend the breakfast; the selection was very poor. It's much better to eat at nearby cafes. Fresh orange juice is sold for 1 euro everywhere else, but at the hotel, they serve some kind of diluted, awful-tasting drink. I will not stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to anyone. The ratings are definitely inflated, and I made a mistake believing them."

San Paolo Palace Hotel ★★★★
"For a four star hotel this was not a great experience. The rooms and interiors were quite old and could need some refurbishing.  The pool area was ok, if you get a chair (need to go early in the morning - when breakfast ends).  The breakfast was mediocre and mostly filled with sweets. I missed some fruit and vegetables."
