"We stayed at Parga Beach Resort with high expectations, especially considering its 5-star rating and the price we paid (over €4,000 for our stay). Unfortunately, our overall experience did not reflect what we expected from a luxury resort. The resort itself is beautiful, with well-maintained gardens and an excellent beachfront location. The surroundings are certainly one of the property’s greatest strengths. However, the service was disappointing. While a few staff members were pleasant, we generally found the service to be rather impersonal. We missed the warmth and hospitality we normally associate with hotels in this price range. Our initial room had a sofa with several visible stains. After contacting reception, we were offered a different room, which we appreciated. The staff handled this request professionally, and we were satisfied with the replacement room. Breakfast was consistently very busy, making it feel crowded and noisy. Although there was a wide selection of food, much of it consisted of sweet pastries and desserts, while the overall quality did not feel at the level we expected from a 5-star resort. We were also disappointed with the food served at the hotel’s restaurants. On several occasions, the meat was overcooked and dry, and many dishes lacked flavor. Overall, the dining experience did not meet our expectations. During our stay, there was an unpleasant incident between guests near the lower pool by the beach. The situation caused a number of guests, including families with children, to leave the area. Although we understand that the hotel cannot control the actions of individual guests, the incident affected the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. The beach club also felt busier and more hectic than expected, with staff frequently moving between the sunbeds. As a result, it lacked the calm and peaceful atmosphere we had hoped for. Our departure also left a disappointing final impression. After a stay costing more than €4,000, we expected at least a friendly farewell or a simple thank you. Instead, the check-out felt brief and impersonal. Overall, Parga Beach Resort is a visually beautiful property in an excellent location. However, in our opinion, the level of service, dining experience, and overall atmosphere did not justify either the 5-star rating or the premium price. We left feeling disappointed and did not feel that the resort offered good value for money."

"Great find in a the lovely village of Anthousa. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Lovely view over Valtos Bay. Had a studio apartment which was a good size. Nice pool area with access to the waterfall. The beach is within walking distance. Didn’t have transport so relied on taxis to Parga town or the water taxi from Valtos beach. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly. Would thoroughly recommend. The village has a number of restaurants and places for coffee, a bakery, a supermarket and a pharmacy. On the route to Ali Pasha castle. The water taxi to Parga town is every half hour between 1000 and 2300."

"Somnus oozes style and quality from the second you arrive. We stayed in a Deluxe suite which was extremely spacious. Beds are HUGE!. Splash pool on your balcony is a luxury on a hot day to help cool off. Breakfast is massive and its options are so well presented. The staff are incredibly attentive and very discreet when breakfast is brought to the room. We absolutely loved our time at Somnus suites and you actually get access to two resorts as there is a quick and easy water taxi (3 euros person per trip) from Valtos to Parga or a very doable 20 min scenic walk between the two resorts. Loved it. Bravo and 5 stars all round !"

"Exceptional Stay at Irida Hotel – A True Gem in Parga! We had the most wonderful stay at Irida Hotel in Parga and honestly didn’t want to leave! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth we received were second to none. A huge thank you to Chris, the owner, who made us feel incredibly welcome throughout our stay. His attention to detail and passion for guest satisfaction truly shine through in every part of the hotel. Special mention also to Illias, who delivered our delicious room service breakfast each morning with the kindest smile and impeccable timing. The breakfast was beautifully presented and varied each day – a real highlight of our stay. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, with modern, stylish rooms and stunning views. Every corner of the property is clearly well-maintained and cared for, which made it feel like a real home away from home. The customer service is outstanding – every member of staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for more. The hotel is just a short walk from the main shops, restaurants, and the charming old town of Parga, yet still peaceful enough for a relaxing retreat. We can’t recommend Irida Hotel highly enough – thank you for an unforgettable experience. We’ll definitely be back!"

"Lovely clean hotel. Daily changes of linen and towels. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Staff lovely, except one. Who changed the atmosphere when he arrived in the vicinity. Rooftop garden a lovely relaxing area, which Maria is very proud of, and so should she be. Breakfast on the roof was great. Everything you need and more. Evening meals were delicious, cooked by the lovely Panos 💙 if a little bit pricey, but you pay for the location and convenience. The bar is impeccably run by Dally ❤️ and Maria. Great service, thank you. Great location in the town for easy access to the beach, harbour and taxi rank, should you wish to venture further - lots to see. Town beach easily accessible, but busy, packed and sunbeds close together. Valtos beach a few minutes taxi ride away (7 euros) is lovely, highly recommend - spent a lovely day there. Lots to do; boat trips to Paxos & Antipaxos, a great day out on the sea with a breeze (much needed last week in 35+ degrees) All in all, a beautiful resort with stunning scenery. Sadly too hot for us to venture up to the Venetian castle, but it is stunning from all angles."

"We booked this accommodation on the basis of the reviews on the excellent views and also Jet2s information saving harbour views were available from the rooms. Please be aware thus is not the case for all rooms. We were put in a room at the back entrance to the property with no view of the harbour or sea and no privacy as our only balcony was on the entrance path to the apartment block. We had to keep the shutters closed at all times to have privacy in the room and there were no other windows for natural light. The close proximity to the harbour was great and the room was cleaned daily but we hated every minute we were in the room."
