Chengde Hotels with Parking

Location: this is a one-minute walk from the Middle Gate / entrance to the Jinshanling Great Wall (the best location for an early start as the gate opens as early as 4-5am) and has great value for money compared to other farmstays or hotels with this proximity to the entrance. Cleaniness: spacious and clean room with all the necessary amenities, though most are single-use so bring your own if you would like to be environmentally-conscious. The bathroom also had only a half-door so there was a chance that water from the showerhead may spill out a bit. Service: the host was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ms. Li is able to tell you about the best hiking paths, hiking time, and ways to get around / get back. She can also help you arrnage transport to nearby Gubei Watertown or tell you how to get back to city centre Beijing if you ask. As all farmstays do they have their own restaurant that can cook just about any typical home-cooked meals (and they are flexible with portions and pricing, depending on the size of your group). There is a small shop area at reception if you need some last-minute supplies for the Great Wall (food and drinks mostly). 100% recommended for those who wish to get an early start to the Great Wall with a decent night's sleep and some comfort meals.

This is my second time visiting Wulingshan, and I chose Lanye Hotel again~ I've been eating breakfast at Shangu (Valley) restaurant, and I'm very satisfied, having eaten there for two consecutive days. I especially love the wild vegetable buns. The hotel was also incredibly thoughtful; knowing I was pregnant, they prepared an air purifier and a pregnancy pillow for me~ They also arranged for a high-floor room, so it wasn't noisy at all. They really put their heart into it!

It really pays to book newer hotels; the facilities are always complete and super clean. The front desk staff were all incredibly warm and attentive. The laundry room is on the first floor, and they even help wash, dry, and fold your clothes – so thoughtful! The only downside is that the air conditioning in the king room blows directly onto the head of the bed. You have to set it to a very low fan speed to make it bearable. I'd suggest adding a deflector or something similar.

A satisfactory stay! The location of Building 7 in Phase 1 is particularly good. It is close to the entrance and exit of the garage and is also very close to the check-in place of the homestay. The room size is right. The bath towels, towels and sheets in the room are very new and clean. The quality of toiletries is good, especially the toothbrush is particularly easy to use. The hygiene of the bathroom is also quite satisfactory. There is no smell in the whole room. The room has shower slippers, detergent, laundry detergent, umbrellas, mosquito repellent and other items. The wife password is on the room card. Toilet paper towels and living room paper are available. Four bath towels and towels are enough. There are four drinking cups and mouthwash cups. Refrigerators and washing machines are available. Drying racks are also prepared. There is a kettle in the kitchen, no microwave. The stove is not available. Butler service is very good. The housekeeper will contact you in advance to inform you of the precautions and traffic guidelines. Dissatisfied is the matter of Anaya's 3 pm check-in at 11 am. In fact, the overlord clause, the general hotel should check in at 2 pm and check out at 12 pm! But we hardly waited long to get the room card at 1:30 pm. The homestays do not include breakfast, and there will be anaya identity code after check-in. With this code, you can dine in the first canteen and the mountain canteen. These two restaurants are the cheapest restaurants in the entire park. Other restaurants are expensive. The first phase of the homestay is very close to the first canteen. It took a few minutes to walk. The alarm rang once during the stay was quite scary. We went out for about 2 hours. During the period, the air conditioner was completely closed. The window was opened, and the fog may have triggered the alarm. Wuling Mountain Anaya is worth experiencing. The first phase of the homestay is very convenient.

Stayed here with my kids while visiting Jinshanling Great Wall. It's within walking distance to the scenic area and parking is free. The courtyard is quiet and clean, so we slept comfortably. It offers great value for money, and you can even stargaze at night. The Chinese breakfast is simple, and you can order stir-fries for lunch and dinner. A small suggestion: it would be great to have a mop in the bathroom so guests can clean up after showering.

The hotel's location is pretty good, and it's convenient for shopping nearby. However, this hotel shares a lobby with the neighboring Meihou Lizhi Hotel, but their prices are different! I don't quite understand why.

Facilities are sufficient for our type of travel; that are trekking and Great Wall viewing. Location is excellent with easy access to different parts of the of the Great Wall. Breakfast and dinner were at the stay and the simple local cuisine of good food suited our taste buds .. Topping all is the extra mile service by the owner 崔老版 and his family. We had a beautiful and memorable time here

Just a 2-minute walk from the Great Wall ticket office. The room was clean, and the homemade fried dough sticks and steamed buns for breakfast were delicious! 😋 The owners and their family were so warm and helpful. When we called from the visitor center, the owner came to pick us up. And when we checked out, since the owners weren't home, the owner's mother even drove us back to the visitor center on her electric tricycle! 🤣 We'll definitely stay here again next time.

Location: Its main advantage is its proximity to the scenic area's entrance. No need for a shuttle bus; it's just a 100-meter walk. You can head out anytime to catch the sunset in the afternoon or the sunrise in the morning. Facilities: Quite old. As it's the only hotel within the scenic area, maintenance is poor. Hygiene: Relatively clean. However, the bathroom has a strong odor, and there's a lot of limescale on the sink, faucet, shower area, and showerhead. The shower area also has a distinct smell. Service: Practically no service to speak of. Rooms are spread across different sections, and there's no bellboy to help with luggage. Only one female staff member helped us with one suitcase; we had to drag the rest ourselves. Overall, it's just average. There are many guesthouses inside the scenic area with equally good locations. If you're looking for better value for money, a guesthouse might be a more advantageous choice.

The hotel boasts a beautiful environment and fresh air, and both the facilities and cleanliness are impeccable. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were delicious. Overall, the service was satisfactory. However, I have to complain about a front desk staff member who answered the phone between 7 and 10 PM on the 31st. The first time I reported the washing machine wasn't working, she actually told me it was leaking and advised me not to use it. I ended up fixing and using it myself. The second time I called about the shower water not getting hot, her response was even more ridiculous: she told me to just keep running the water until it got hot. I wasted nearly half an hour, and the water never got warm. In the end, a housekeeping staff member came and simply inserted the gas card, which solved the problem. What's worse is her terrible attitude; she was argumentative and refused to admit her incompetence in handling issues, acting as if she knew everything. She definitely deserves a bad review! On another note, the hotel is very close to Jinshanling Great Wall, which is absolutely worth a visit!
