"We stayed here on our way down from Everest Basecamp. It is beautiful and clean. The beds were more comfortable than not. The food was only ok. They had great service and were attentive to our needs. They have electric blankets and power in the rooms which is welcome."

"Still all brand new. Staff Samundra chhetri was friendly, fast responsive, and very very helpful. We had a good view of the mountains. One thing was that due the the rain we did not have enough hot showers or central heating (but had a heating blanket so the bed was warmed up). They said they’ll have a generator to fix it but better ask when you come. Food were good and reasonable price."

"Today, I was given the very best service from Dawa at the Mountain View Lodge in Lukla. On my way home after a 6 week expedition on the mountains, I needed a way back to Kathmandu urgently. Dawa spent the entire morning, carrying my expedition duffels to secure flight to Kathmandu. When weather changed, he arranged immediate refund and ran down to the helipad to secure me a discounted, shared heli to Kathmandu. Finally, I am able to fly home to South Africa tonight, all because of him. If I could give 10 stars I would…"

Mountain Lodges of Nepal - Namche

"One of the upmarket lights in Namche, and for good reason. The rooms are nicely finished and the beds are comfortable, clean and with a heated blanket. I had room 27 which is in the left wing and all r rooms in this wing have fabulous views overlooking the town, however some rooms in the other wing behind reception (rooms 1-15 I think) look the other way straight into a wall and with a path at the top of the wall offer no privacy. The shower is solar powered and the first night was roasting, however after a cloudy day the second night was just about hot enough. The food is great but they only have 2 set meals which they alternate each night, no a la carte. Staff are very helpful and courteous. It's a bit of a step walk up or off town to reach, hence the great views. Would stay here again"

"The room was really nice and clean. The boss was very nice and took us to see the stars at night. Their breakfast was delicious. We had a hot pot buffet at noon and it tasted great. Very good. I highly recommend! !"
