"Was allocated a room on the 7th level. Quite a nice view but Bird poo on the outside surface glass looking out. Common toilet on ground floor irked with unpleasant odor. WiFi password got to be requested unlike other hotels where reception would provide upon check in. While the location was ideal, there are definitely areas fir improvement like cleanliness and service."

"We were sold the hotel as being centrally located. That's not true. At first glance, the hotel appears sophisticated and grand. Upon closer inspection, you notice that its heyday is behind it. Apart from reception, there is hardly any staff to be found. There isn't a restaurant or 7-Eleven in the surrounding area. When we asked where we could get something to eat, we were directed to the in-house restaurant. It's a dark hole with maybe ten tables. The whole place feels like the canteen of a bad employer. The menu is minimalistic and so is the food."

I say that because I was using the hotel provided address on Google Maps and it first took us to Don Chai, then to the other hotel by the same brand and then we finally got to the correct address. Once there we slept well on the comfortable beds and woke to an ok breakfast."

"We discovered the homestay in 2023 and returned this year for a seven night stay. The setting is delightful, a smart architect-designed complex set among rice paddies with a mountain range as the backdrop. Rural bliss. The owners do a great job in looking after their guests, with well-trained staff in support. The bedrooms are simple but stylish, with views over the gardens or to the mountains, and are spotlessly clean. The dinner menu offers a good range of well-prepared thai and western dishes served in a stunning roof-top setting. For us, our week was wonderful, and excellent value for money."

The indigo-patterned runners and pillows add a nice local touch, and the beds are perfect for a restful night. The Bathroom: A standout feature! The blue-and-white patterned tiling is gorgeous and makes the space feel bright and fresh. It’s well-maintained with good water pressure and a reliable heater. Exceptional Service What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The hotel owner and the staff are incredibly kind and helpful—they genuinely go out of their way to ensure guests feel at home and have everything they need for a smooth stay. Convenience & Practicality Parking: No stress here. There is plenty of parking available right in front of the hotel, and additional spaces are provided at the back of the building, which is very convenient for those traveling with their own vehicle. Location: The building itself is easy to find and provides a peaceful environment while still being accessible. Final Verdict: Whether you're here for business or leisure, The Indigo House offers great value, beautiful design, and top-tier service. Highly recommended for a comfortable and authentic stay in Phrae!"

"Traffic was terrible during the holiday, and I found this hotel on a whim. It looked quite unique from the outside, but the room's decor and facilities were very old, and the toilet smelled terrible. It wasn't worth the price at all!"

"Unbeatable value for money! Spacious, comfortable, and clean room with air conditioning working perfectly. Large, clean pool to cool off in (children from the village have swimming lessons in the afternoon). Breakfast offers fresh fruit, toast, butter and jam, eggs, and local dishes like rice porridge or breaded chicken. The reception staff are very friendly. The location is excellent, just 200 meters from the bus station and a 15-minute walk from the village center. The facilities are a bit dated but perfectly functional. A hotel I would definitely return to!"
