"Globales Don Pedro was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment for me. I genuinely cannot understand how this hotel holds a four-star rating. Based on my experience, I would consider it a three-star hotel at most – and even that feels generous in several respects. I will start with the positives, because there were some. The view from our room over the bay was absolutely beautiful, and the hotel is surrounded by some lovely beaches with excellent opportunities for swimming and snorkelling, which was particularly important to me. The location also provides relatively easy access to beautiful historic towns such as Pollença and Alcúdia, which are well worth visiting. Unfortunately, these were by far the highlights of our stay. There are several things I think future guests should be aware of. If you are arriving after a very early flight, be prepared for the fact that rooms may not be available until 2 pm. After leaving home at two or three in the morning for a 6 am flight, being unable to access your room and rest for several more hours is extremely tiring. Check-out is at 11 am. During busy periods, late check-out may not be available. The hotel does provide a shower room, but our experience of it was very poor. The water pressure was so weak that washing and properly rinsing your hair was practically impossible. There was also no air conditioning in the room. After showering, the room became so hot and humid that even getting dressed was uncomfortable. For guests with a late flight, this is worth knowing in advance. Cleanliness was another major concern. In my opinion, the hotel simply does not feel particularly clean and is in serious need of refurbishment. We stayed on the top floor, directly below the terrace, and during our stay maintenance or repair work was being carried out above us. Anyone hoping for an afternoon rest could forget about it because of the repeated banging and noise coming from the work above. Another thing that surprised me was the lack of separation between the hotel and the public route to the beach. People regularly walked through the hotel grounds to reach the beach, including large groups and families with children. For a hotel marketed as adults-only, this significantly affected the atmosphere. I never really experienced the peaceful, adults-only environment I had expected. More generally, the hotel lacks atmosphere and warmth. It gave me a strong impression that cost-cutting was a priority. One particularly strange example was the area around the bar in the evening. Guests would sometimes remain on the loungers there after dark, yet the area was barely illuminated. I actually saw people using the torches on their phones simply to see where they were going when getting up from the loungers. For me, this is not what I expect from a four-star hotel. Food was another disappointment. Many dishes were extremely salty, the choice was limited and the presentation was often unappealing. Breakfast officially conti"

"Last minute change of plan this hotel was available in our favourite resort so we booked. The hotel for us served a purpose it was generally clean and our room was cleaned everyday plus fresh towels each day. The room was bigger than the one we stayed in twice at its other hotel in the group The Capri, beds were comfortable,shower room was a good size and there was plenty of storage space plus we had a decent size balcony overlooking the road. The food for breakfast was ok nothing special although some of the hot food looked very well done! Our biggest fault were the staff none of them ever spoke to you (except the room cleaner) People on reception never said good morning or even looked up as they seemed to be to busy on their phones nobody seemed to enjoy working here as they all looked fed up which so different to the Capri where everyone was friendly , chatting and looked happy in what they were doing. Would we stay again yes we would if it was a hastily arranged holiday and if it was a future planned holiday no we wouldn’t even though location was ok."

"The beach of Formentor is not private !! In fact there are no private beaches in Mallorca ( if access , but not the coast ) by law neither can offer , nor pretend it to be a private beach / area . I hope that soon the authorities will take a letter on the matter"

"We had a 3rd floor apartment with roof terrace. Lovely and clean on arrival and water provided. Kitchen had everything you’d need along with a cleaning pack. Sofa bed in lounge was perfect for the kids aged 12 & 8, but when out left no room to access the balcony. Air con only in the living area was on constantly with no problems. Bathroom large, poor lighting, rubbish hairdryer. A lot of stains in the shower area and no lock on the door. Toiletries mounted on the wall were quite high up for our 8 year old to reach. Not always given 4 towels when the cleaners had been. Bedroom had a large wardrobe but not enough hangers. Could do with more drawers or shelves. Safe was an extra charge €3.50 per day. Beach towels €10 deposit per towel. Didn’t like the long hard pillows but bed was comfy. Upstairs had very little use. Day bed had metal poles holding the sides that wouldn’t stay in so would bang against the frame. Whirlpool toke ages to fill and was quite noisy. Pool was great and the kids could use floats. No problem getting a lounger or day bed. Kids loved a game of pool before evening out. Spar next door handy for breakfast pastries and drinks. Beach just across the road. Only downside was the walk into centre a good 20-30mins to the bars we liked."

"5 star service at that beautiful country house boutique hotel. Thank you to Cecilia, Katty, Grace, Thomas and Miguel - you were all brilliant and went above and beyond for all the guests! This hotel is a peaceful adult-only oasis, 5 minutes by car from Pollenca. The suites are huge and spotless, The food is also excellent - particular the fabulous breakfasts. The pool area, with waitress service, is stunning with comfy sunbeds and beautiful gardens - with 360 degree views of the mountains. Thank you for a great holiday - we shall be back!"

"Quiet apartment complex ,hotel opposite very busy and pools manic. Don’t get an apartment in the corner as rooms are small and not those on the pictures . Ours had no electric plug in the kitchen and only 2 plugs in the whole apartment. Shower was good till the last day when we had no hot water all day. No English TV Chanel’s yet 90% of the clients are English!!! I wouldn’t recommend or come back."

"We were allocated an amazing sea view room with stunning harbour views from the balcony. Staff at check in and cleaning team couldn’t have been kinder (restaurant staff less so but probably totally exhausted and it was crazy hot). Air con was fantastic. Everything wonderfully clean and functional. Odd smell from the fridge but we flagged it and presumed just cleaning fluids. Perfect location. Bar and restaurant downstairs very popular and buzzy and with lovely harbour and people-watching views so you feel like you’re ’out’ just by popping down with minimal effort. Highly recommended. Only caveat is the half board dinner options are crazy limited and a little odd. But the wider menu is good."

"I really enjoyed my time at Playa Mar and Spa - it is a good resort for young children and families. We booked a premium suite and it was very spacious with everything you would need for the break including comfy beds and pillows. Angie and Fredy in particular were super friendly at the restaurant and always took the time to high-five my daughter and welcome us. There is a big range of food on offer and it is replenished frequently which was impressive. Drinks in the all inclusive offer were very good too. The kids clubs staff that ran the entertainment were a good team - particular shout outs to Stefan, Paul and Andrea. Pools were perfect for a four year old and a good temperature. The layout of the hotel means you are close to everything you need although you can hear the entertainment in hotel rooms until 11pm which was not an issue for us and v quiet after that ends. Very close to pine walk which takes about 15 mins to walk down to the harbour. Beaches with clear water on the way to dip in. There was an issue with flying ants in the room for the first two nights but fine for the remainder of the break. Quite a lot of dead ants in the patio doors which need to be hoovered out but other than that I can't think of any improvements to suggest. I would like to return as we had a relaxing break as it is a lovely, small resort with great staff."

"Having stayed a few times, I have to say that unfortunately this was not great this time. First the positives, the food is ok for all inclusive. There are plenty of sunbeds. The restaurant though is like a canteen and the wine glasses are not clean - there are often lipstick marks still on them. The bartender at the bar never serves a dirty glass and the restaurant should do better. Drinks on all inclusive are more limited than they used to be. The hotel is currently taking photos for promotional material, which is ok but not when it is to the detriment of paying guests. Not happy to have been asked to move from our sunbeds - they should have cordoned them off if they needed to use them. Very annoying and left feeling uncomfortable. Not a great experience. A shame as the hotel used to be really good."
