The room was very spacious, with excellent soundproofing and a beautiful view. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunset over the river from the comfort of the sofa. Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, enough to try all the local Quanzhou delicacies. The overall stay experience was superb, easily meeting five-star standards. Hotel staff were always on hand to help with luggage upon arrival and departure, which made me feel incredibly well looked after. When I needed a drying rack late at night, the staff promptly brought one to my room. Every staff member I encountered in the lobby greeted me warmly, showcasing their high level of professionalism. The room's toiletries and even the key card were made of wood, giving a sense of luxury while remaining eco-friendly. The tabletop vanity mirror was from Mi Guang, reflecting excellent taste. While the city itself might be ordinary, the hotel is absolutely exceptional, truly living up to InterContinental standards. I certainly hope to stay here again.

My three-night stay in Quanzhou, entirely at the InterContinental Taihe, was extremely satisfying. **Facilities:** The hotel's location right in Taihe Plaza makes it incredibly convenient for dining and shopping. With Jinjiang Bridge nearby, accessing Jinjiang is also exceptionally easy. The underground parking at Taihe Plaza offers direct access to the hotel elevators, which is incredibly convenient! The rooms are spacious and offer direct views of the Jinjiang River and the Quanzhou Eye, with stunning scenery both day and night. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness in both the rooms and public areas was excellent. I even encountered cleaning staff in the elevator, and the disinfectant they used had a surprisingly pleasant scent. **Service:** InterContinental's management standards are consistently high; the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and concierge were all polite, courteous, warm, and friendly. Overall, this is an excellent hotel and highly recommended!

The location is superb, offering a peaceful sanctuary amidst the city's hustle and bustle. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, including night markets and malls. The hotel's ambiance perfectly embodies InterContinental's signature understated elegance, and even the elevator lobbies are beautifully designed. The breakfast buffet is incredibly varied, featuring almost all of Quanzhou's local delicacies, such as Mian Xian Hu (vermicelli paste) and Rou Pian Tang (pork slice soup). Cleanliness is top-notch, and the staff are incredibly friendly, with a special shout-out to the Guest Relations Manager who went above and beyond to help us yesterday. I wholeheartedly recommend this InterContinental hotel. It's simply outstanding!

Living up to its 5-star reputation, the hotel provided incredibly thoughtful and attentive assistance with both parking and luggage. Even better, the lovely lady at the front desk upgraded our room, offering us a fantastic view directly from our window. The adults enjoyed admiring the Jinjiang Bridge, while the kids were perfectly happy staying in the air-conditioning and watching the Ferris wheel. The overall experience was superb! We'll definitely be choosing InterContinental again for our next family trip.

Absolutely fantastic! The facilities and service were excellent, and it offered great value for money. To my surprise, the river view room also offered a glimpse of the Ferris wheel, and the night view was absolutely stunning when it lit up. It's also connected to a nearby commercial area which, though not overly bustling, was still pleasant to explore and added to the convenience.

This is, hands down, the worst InterContinental I have ever stayed at. Our group booked five rooms in total, and most of them had a terrible smell. There was a strong, unpleasant odor emanating from the bathroom drains, combined with a persistent stale, musty smell in the rooms, making them unbearable. The hotel eventually moved us to an executive floor, but aside from being slightly less smelly, the rooms were no different from standard ones. The decor was very basic and incredibly rudimentary. Maintenance was also poor; everything looked shabby and run-down, completely unworthy of the InterContinental brand standard. The water pressure in the shower was so ridiculously low that taking a proper shower was impossible. After spending an entire day dealing with and negotiating with the hotel, we just didn't want to bother changing rooms again. At that point, we gave up out of sheer helplessness and decided to just endure it for one night. The cleanliness was truly appalling. Dust and dirt were visible everywhere, and even the duvet was wrinkled and sloppily folded. Later, we discovered that Quanzhou, despite being a tourist city, apparently doesn't have a single decent hotel. Even guesthouses like 'Qixu Bell Tower' were ridiculously priced at over 2000 RMB. So, we decided to just put up with it for two nights and head home quickly. What a shame for a tourist city like Quanzhou to have such subpar hotel accommodations that utterly fail to meet expectations. Update: Relatives in one of the rooms were covered in insect bites, and the children even had allergic reactions, necessitating anti-allergy medication. The hotel genuinely ruined our entire trip to Quanzhou.

The river-view room was absolutely stunning! From the floor-to-ceiling windows, we had panoramic views – Jinjiang Bridge to the left and a Ferris wheel to the right. As evening fell, the night lights made the view even more captivating, and the colorful Ferris wheel was a huge hit with the kids! The InterContinental's service was equally impressive 👍; they were incredibly responsive and efficient in fulfilling all our requests. For anyone visiting Quanzhou, I wholeheartedly recommend staying here; it's far more convenient for getting around than the Old Town. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Finally, a special mention for the hotel's 'Zan Hua' (traditional flower hairpin) reservation service! I got my hair styled with the flowers and headed straight to the Old Town for some memorable photo opportunities. The 4 PM daily return time was perfectly convenient. Highly, highly recommended! 👍

This is my second stay, and it remains my favorite hotel in Quanzhou. Facilities: While the facilities show their age slightly, they are very well-maintained. Cleanliness: Spotless. Environment: The river view is excellent, the air is fresh, and it's just a bridge crossing away from Jinjiang. The surrounding area isn't congested, making it perfect for self-driving. Service: Excellent! We received a room upgrade, offering views of Jinjiang Bridge and the Ferris wheel. They were also very accommodating in granting a late check-out. The breakfast was truly impressive, with a wide variety of delicious options.

We were also pleasantly surprised to stumble upon a folk performance at the adjacent Intangible Cultural Heritage Music Plaza. The room key card was charmingly unique. Our room itself was well-maintained, spotlessly clean, and boasted a lovely view. Both the front desk staff and the doormen were consistently proactive and welcoming. They even offered a 'Zanha' (hairpin flower) experience. The only minor drawback was a rather late check-in, though this was likely due to it being a busy summer weekend. However, the most disappointing aspect was the utterly terrible attitude of one particular staff member working at the lobby bar. When I politely approached her to inquire about seating, she completely ignored me, not even bothering to look up. This unpleasant encounter regrettably cast a shadow over an otherwise delightful stay, ending it on a sour note.

Our long-anticipated trip to Quanzhou led us to choose InterContinental, a brand we usually have good experiences with, especially for family trips with our child. However, this time, the service was truly disappointing. We arrived at the hotel at 4:10 PM. While my husband checked us in, I took our child to the restroom. We expected to get our room right away, but the front desk informed us our booked room type wasn't ready and we'd have to wait 50 minutes. They offered an upgrade to a room with a better view, but this meant waiting until 5:30 PM to check in. I immediately contacted Ctrip, and within ten minutes, we had our room key. Are non-members simply expected to wait around pointlessly in the lobby? When we were about to head out around 6:30 PM, our child had splashed water all over the bathroom floor during bath time and even had a small fall. We specifically requested cleaning service before leaving. However, when we returned to our room at 9:00 PM, nothing had been done. Frustrated, I called customer service, and a cleaner arrived within five minutes. Was the in-room service button just for show? The next morning, before checking out, I wanted to have a cup of coffee. After fumbling with it for about five minutes, I discovered the coffee machine was broken. We generally don't like leaving negative reviews, but this experience was truly terrible. We had originally booked for two nights, but we checked out on the second day and moved to the Bell Tower Hotel, hoping the rest of our trip would be more pleasant. We sincerely hope InterContinental addresses these service issues and lives up to guests' trust. Subsequently, the hotel offered a complimentary kids' breakfast and a room upgrade service, and the manager also called to apologize. We just hope that other families traveling with children won't have to go through the same unpleasant experiences we did.

Overall, the quality of the stay at the InterContinental Hotel was excellent. The river view was beautiful. However, from our room at the very end of the corridor, the Ferris wheel wasn't clearly visible. Both the breakfast and the overall accommodation experience are highly recommended. This was my first visit to Quanzhou, and after looking into many hotels, I finally chose the InterContinental Hotel for a four-night stay. On our first day, we arrived directly from the airport around 10:00 AM, which was well before the official check-in time. I had only planned to store our luggage, but to my pleasant surprise, the front desk attendant enthusiastically helped us with an early check-in. Thumbs up! The room was spacious, well-equipped, and the bedding was very comfortable. Breakfast was extensive and delicious; the peanut soup was so good I had to have a bowl every day. While swimming, we could also enjoy the scenery outside the window. We had meals and bubble tea at the Taihe Shopping Mall, and the night market next door was also very lively. We used taxis daily, and the doormen at the entrance were polite and offered enthusiastic service. Even the housekeeping staff proactively greeted us and reminded us not to forget our umbrellas when heading out. Overall, our four-day stay at the InterContinental was excellent. My choice was absolutely right! 👍😙❤️

Our housekeeper, a lovely lady, always greeted us with a warm smile. She was consistently helpful with deliveries and cleaning, displaying great enthusiasm, professionalism, and patience. 3) However, the restaurant staff, particularly at breakfast, often seemed quite inexperienced – I even wondered if some were interns! Some lacked smiles, others showed poor service awareness (e.g., not proactively clearing dirty plates), and some were extremely slow. At one point, my three-year-old was eager to follow his older siblings upstairs, leaving a significant amount of breakfast still on his plate. I asked if I could take it with us, genuinely wanting to avoid waste (specifically referring to items untouched or only partially eaten by the child). A young girl in glasses wearing an orange jacket flatly replied, 'No, just leave it on the table; they'll throw it away anyway.' This highlights that rules should serve people, not the other way around. Humanized service is a fundamental standard in modern hospitality. Overall, despite its location in a third-tier city, the InterContinental Quanzhou largely upholds its brand standards and quality. During our stay, we encountered several supervisors who were polite and highly professional. However, some of the very young service staff clearly require more training.

The room was very clean. However, the staff at the lobby entrance lacked attentiveness. A 14-year-old boy was struggling to pull two suitcases by himself, but no one came to help him. When we got out of the taxi and my son went to retrieve our luggage from the trunk, a staff member at the entrance just walked over, took a look, and then walked away. The next day, my son went shopping at Taihe Plaza and returned to the hotel entrance, carrying a bag, two bags of fruit, and an umbrella. The staff member opened the door for a food delivery person but did not do so for my son. Furthermore, the young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was expressionless and very cold.
