Hotels in West Street/Kaiyuan Temple, Quanzhou

As it was my first time in Quanzhou, I chose this hotel based on a Ctrip recommendation. While I didn't get to experience all of its services and amenities, I had a positive overall impression. They provided complimentary welcome fruits, pastries, and even a digestive and sleep-friendly late-night snack package. The staff offered excellent service, the hotel was clean, and the facilities were comprehensive. Its location in a bustling area made shopping and dining incredibly convenient. My only suggestions for improvement would be the lack of a proper desk in the room and the power outlets, which were a bit fiddly to plug into (they seemed to be safety outlets). Otherwise, everything else was great. Thank you!

My friend stayed in a Qing Dynasty building renovated homestay two years ago. He praised it and recommended it to me. It was very conveniently located near West Street. Although the building is a bit old, it doesn't look dilapidated. After the renovation, it is both preserved and renewed. Every patio is my favorite. The room I stayed in is more spacious and comfortable after the upgrade. The breakfast made by the housekeeper is very delicious. It's a pity that I didn't meet the owner this time, otherwise I could have exchanged tea ceremony, but in the end I bought a few bags of tea from a distance, which is also a full load.

1️⃣The hotel's location is really invincible. It is located at the important landmark bell tower. It is very convenient to go to the attractions in the old city. You can go back to rest at any time when you are tired of shopping at noon. 2️⃣The upgraded one-bedroom room on the east side is much larger. It is quite comfortable to live in. The only drawback is that there is a certain amount of street noise, but the hotel is equipped with earplugs. Andy, a follow-up colleague, also helped to reduce the afternoon tea in the hotel because of this noise problem. 3️⃣The breakfast is quite comfortable, mainly in terms of environment, landscape, and layout. However, there are a few cold dishes, which can be improved. 4️⃣The streets here are really beautiful, and there are terraces and rooftops. 5️⃣Finally, I want to say that the service is really good. Andy asked us about our needs in the morning, noon and evening. When I left, he gave me toiletries. He also gave me a box of Minnan rice cakes, which is very considerate. ❤️

The B&B is in a great location, convenient for everything. They also offer a complimentary hairpin-making experience and a traditional puppet show experience. The hairpin-making experience is nearby, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hairpin-making experience is fantastic. There are also many delicious restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are well-decorated, odor-free, with new facilities and a well-planned layout. We stayed two days and were completely satisfied. The customer service was attentive and met all our requests. They even brought tea sets and were very patient. We had a wonderful trip, especially the family room with its small balcony. We packed up a barbecue and ate it in the evening, watching the city lights and the smell of fireworks, and toasting under the stars. It was the perfect vacation experience.

Location is good, we can walk to Guan di Miao, Qingjing mosque and Kay yuan Temple, around 3 km, for us it's not too far Everyday they clean our room, it is very satisfying. Front desk officer also very good. Overall our 4 nights stayed is satisfied, recomended

Overall: Excellent, highly recommended! 1. **Convenient Location & Transport:** The hotel is about a 20-minute drive from Quanzhou Station and a 20-minute walk to the Bell Tower. Several bus routes right outside the hotel offer a quick two-stop ride to West Street (where the Bell Tower is located). 2. **Exceptional Front Desk Service:** The front desk staff were incredibly thoughtful and meticulous. They provided excellent local travel tips and even offered a generous selection of complimentary snacks, tea, coffee, and useful little tools. Their service was truly commendable. 3. **Room & Bathroom:** The room itself was standard, but the bathroom was impeccably clean – a definite plus! (On a side note: I wouldn't recommend staying in a guesthouse on West Street. It's incredibly crowded, a pedestrian-only area, making taxis very inconvenient due to narrow streets, and the accommodations there tend to be older/dated.) 4. **Delicious Breakfast:** The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, all made with fresh ingredients and tasting absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! 5. **Special Shout-out to a Front Desk Staff:** The gentleman at the front desk (whose name I regrettably didn't catch) provided exceptional service. A big thumbs up to him!

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very spacious, especially room 209, which has 2 floors. The location was initially a little hard to find, but after we figured it out it was an awesome place we enjoyed staying at and coming back to everyday. We even added an additional 3 days. The bed was very comfortable and clean. One person in our group had to sleep on a soda bed and that was comfortable too. They provided plenty of bottled water, soy milk, and toiletries. The staff was very nice. Greeted us everyday and even helped us move our suitcase to the main street, Zhong San Lu. We will definitely come back again, and have shared the info with our other family members for future stays. Want to thank both the morning and evening staff for taking care of us.

The homestay is located on Zhongshan Road in the ancient city and at the entrance of Chengtian Lane. The geographical location is very convenient, making it very convenient for visiting the ancient city. Chengtian Lane is also a characteristic ancient lane, with Chengtian Temple at the west end. As for the B&B itself, the room is 20+ square meters, which is large enough and the sanitary conditions are also good. The king room I booked has a terrace, which faces the residential area and has no view (after a visit, I found that the B&B has 3 guest rooms with terraces facing Zhongshan Road). The facilities in the room are in good condition. The homestay has no public area and does not provide breakfast. The front desk guy was very nice. We arrived early, stored our luggage and went out to play. When we came out of the room, he helped us move in. When we left, the luggage was well kept. He was a very nice guy.

The hotel is luxuriously decorated and the environment is hygienic. The temperature difference in Quanzhou in the past few days (spring) is large, the highest temperature at noon is 20 degrees, and the night is about 10 °C, but the central air conditioner of this hotel does not provide heating, and it can be cooled! so strange! ! Such a cold night, such a high-end hotel can not turn on the heating! Even the air conditioner of the mid- and low-end small hotel can heat it. The air conditioner of this hotel can be cooled! I gave feedback, the hotel's answer is that the central air conditioner is controlled by the engineering department, and whether to turn on the heating can be determined by the engineering department. If I feel cold, they can provide me with a heating tablet. It is a white oil stat, similar to the last picture. Anyway, I am not used to it. Can not control the temperature, there are three grades of small, medium and large to adjust the heating. Turn on the heating tablet to wake up, do not turn on the heating tablet to wake up. Every night, you have to get up, turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, turn off, repeatedly adjust the heating tablet... Living in such a luxurious hotel, you can't control the room temperature.
