"I had a short stay in Rabat, the capital, and I was very satisfied with this hotel. The hotel environment is good, the service is very professional, and the surrounding supermarkets and restaurants are not bad either. It's very convenient to go anywhere, you can ask the front desk to help call a taxi."

Hôtel Mercure Rabat Sheherazade

"Nice room and great breakfast, staff accommodating and free parking on site. Our stay was marred by the spa (sauna and steam room) not being available. The spa staff said that one has to book the steam room, which was not true. The whole spa area smelled of turpentine. Suprisingly, the hotel had run out of slippers, a comfort item that should be absolute standard for this hotel category."

Hotel des Oudaias Hotels in Rabat

Hotel des Oudaias

"Opened over 100 years ago and does look a bit faded however staff all friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom also looked a bit faded but local furnishings, a very large and comfortable bed plus a very pleasant sitting area with a balcony. Unlike so many hotels there was plenty of space in both the bedroom and bathroom to lay things out. The plumbing was questionable and the water not always piping hot. Breakfast was Moroccan: orange juice, olives, yoghurt, potato pancakes, pastries and bananas. The location between the kasbar and medina was very satisfactory and one could easily catch petit taxis from outside the hotel. "

Riad Dar Dar Hotels in Rabat

Riad Dar Dar

"Clean rooms, nice staff but the breakfast menu offers no variety. The room was a nice size but no hot water pot for tea. Hot water is on demand, you must go to the desk and demand it. Old city (Medina) is very quiet but watch were your walking in the mark"

Dar El Kebira Hotels in Rabat

Dar El Kebira

"With it's excellent facilities, restaurant, bar, room service, sat. TV, wellness centre, etc. I was really happy when we booked this facility several months before we travelled. Unfortunately, we were not able to enjoy ANY of this as, upon arrival, a gentleman who we believe was the owner had "transferred" us to another riad he owned, some 10 minutes away. The room at the new riad, (Riad Esmerelda), was quite good, but was up 44 steps on the roof terrace and had NONE of the facilities listed above for Dar El Kebira. We certainly would not have booked it. We went back to the original accommodation to complain, but were advised that the riad was full, (subsequently we found that they had accepted a large booking from a group of UK visitors and we were not the only quests who had been moved to inferior facilities). When we asked for a table at the restaurant, again we were advised they were full with "residents" but after a somewhat lively discussion as to our status, a table was laid for us in a lobby area. The restaurant staff at Dar El Kebira were obviously well trained, wore uniforms and provided excellent food and service. Unfortunately, those at Riad Esmerelda, (although very pleasant people), were, I suspect, very new, untrained and a little out of their depth. Our room was never serviced whilst we were there, so we made our own beds and even had to go and find our own toilet rolls! So, if you actually get to stay at Dar El Kebira, I am sure you will have a good time, but be aware that it appears to be common practice to change your reservation when you arrive, in which case, good luck."

"A beautiful hotel. My room was bright and spacious and spotlessly clean. Breathtaking views from the terraces over Wadi Bou Regreg and Rabat. I must apologise for not recalling the name of the wonderful lady who provide me with two excellent breakfasts, a great deal of assistance in other ways, and for tolerating my ineptitude when using the front door key!! Very highly recommended."

La Tour Hassan Palace Hotels in Rabat

La Tour Hassan Palace

"A very corporate hotel, probably excellent for business conventions, but we found it rather impersonal and definitely overpriced. We stayed at La Tour Hassan as part of a longer trip which also included the cities of Fes, Casablanca and Marrakech before travelling to the Ourika Valley. This hotel was, by far, the most disappointing and we were shocked that the additional for three days’ breakfasts plus a single half bottle of Moroccan wine, and a serving of mint tea, cost the same price as evening meals with drinks and cocktails at our superb and quite grand hotels in Fes, Casablanca and Marrakech. Our Superior Garden Room was surprisingly small and the shower was so badly designed that it flooded the bathroom. The room was furnished with only one pair of slippers and we were left with a single tiny tablet of chocolate when we returned to our room in the evening, despite it being a double room. Our overpriced and very disappointing breakfast did not even offer muesli or granola except on the first day of our three night stay. Staff were available but compared to our other hotel experiences, I can only assume that this is not a happy place to work as our interactions with staff were transactional rather than infused with the typical Moroccan hospitality we experienced elsewhere. Rabat itself is a great place to visit, especially for the art galleries but we would definitely avoid this hotel on our next visit. What a shame. "

"Love the architecture and design of the Riad. The staff showed great hospitality. The only issue here is bathroom. It’s impossible to share a bathroom for 4 ladies. Perhaps, put in disposable shower caps and hotel slippers. I hope Fes Luxury Tour will look into this matter. Thank you. "

"I stay in this hotel every time I come, I'm used to it. The service is no problem and we can communicate in English. clean. The rooms are random. After the first time we stayed, the rooms were super big, but the rooms we got the next few times were smaller. Each room type is different. Just make do with breakfast, after all, there is nothing delicious here."
