My team recently stayed at this hotel and their overall experience was very positive. The rooms were very clean, spacious and extremely comfortable for them to rest after long working hours. We were shocked and surprised when we arrived Ellys Home on 9 April. There is a Malay staff waiting for us at the entrance and he informed us our stay is changed to Paly Hotel (just next to Ellys Home). The staff passed us a call from the owner of Ellys Home. She said it is Trip.com error that the website still allow and confirm the booking even the Ellys Home is already fully booked. Therefore, she arranged for us the replacement at Paly Hotel. Generally, Paly Hotel is good. However, it is better to update the travelers in advance for any changes (instead of informing only on that day on the spot). We have no choice to accept the change and this caused inconvenience to update our travel agency in last minute. For this reason, I will not recommend others to make bookings via Trip.com.

The room was quite large, but we arrived too late and left very early the next morning, so we didn't have much of a feeling about the room. The location is about a 15-minute walk to the pier, which is great. There are plenty of taxis outside; just tell them which hotel you want to go to, and they'll take you there. The owner was very easy to communicate with, especially since he's Chinese.

The first floor was a bit smelly, but the room was clean. The Chinese boss was easy to communicate with. Since our flight was delayed for 3 hours, we arrived very late at 12 o'clock, but no one opened the door. We contacted Ctrip. There was no one on the street, so we still had to tell the boss what time we would arrive in advance. The water in the room was very small and there was no hot water. The mirror light in the shower room flickered.

As a well-known guesthouse in Semporna town, it was definitely worth the price, and the service response was very quick.

Facilities: Very complete, everything you need. Cleanliness: Very clean, pink-themed, perfect for this small town. Environment: Large and comfortable rooms. Service: Excellent service; staff helped with luggage. The owner seems to be from Beijing, very generous.

The landlord is very nice, I will stay at his house next time 😄

Convenience of check-in: The hygiene conditions are acceptable, and the staff are very friendly.

The room is big and convenient. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the two piers. There are many restaurants nearby. It is not as noisy as the pier. I will stay here again when I go to Semporna next time.

We booked a family room a month in advance, but when they contacted us, they said we didn't see it and there were no rooms available, so they asked us to move to Pali. We booked two rooms together and only wanted to move one to Pali. We disagreed and said we had negotiated with others, so we didn't need to move. But when we checked in a month later, they still gave our family room to someone else and moved us to Pali. The front desk service was terrible. We wasted more than an hour communicating about this, which resulted in us not having time to go to the seafood market to buy seafood, and we were very angry! Super bad experience

However, when we checked in a month later, they still gave our family room to someone else and moved us to another room in Pali. The front desk service was also terrible. This whole situation wasted over an hour of our time, preventing us from going to the seafood market to buy seafood, and we were left feeling very angry! A super bad experience! The room also smelled terrible.
