Atour Hotel Jing'an Temple Nanjing West Road, Shanghai

Our first trip to Shanghai we did a lot of research and ended up choosing the Atour team due to the fact they are modern and new, it was the best decision of our trip as the team and hotel were beyond our expectations. From the night we arrived we were treated with the nicest reception crew and helped us check in and even accommodated our room upgrade request last minute. They were extremely patient and helpful the whole way through. The hotel was clean and very convenient to all sorts of shops and transport. The free supper at the restaurant was a very nice touch. The free amenities like gym and laundry was a life saver for our 2 week trip, I couldn't imagine doing laundry when I come home after a trip! The room amenities and service were amazing, complimentary water, ice tea and soft drinks with daily refills shows small things go a long way, unlike some major hotels that charge you for small things in the room, Atour will make you feel like you're right at home. The management staff needs to be applauded as they've trained a very respectful and kind hearted team, they assisted with a lot of local request that we struggled with. Being a tourist having local support and guidance was to die for. We will definitely be traveling to China again and for sure only going to stay with the team at Atour, they have places all across China and that's already a good enough reason to visit other cities. 5+++++++!!! For families they also have cartoon theme rooms and suites to select as well. Thank you team Atour!❤️

Superb hotel at a quiet yet accessible location. Staff were really friendly, room was very comfortable, usage of space was well thought out of and no smell of smoke at all. Breakfast spread was scrumptious, and they even had free yummy porridge with side dishes for all hotel guests in the evening, which was a very thoughtful gesture! We also really loved the free laundry service which was so convenient and easy to use. Hotel was smart throughout - TV had info about whether the laundry and dryer machines were occupied, and we could order delivery and the robot helper delivered it to our room. Shoutout to Changpu 菖蒲 aunty who packed breakfast for us 💕 I’ll definitely book my stay with this hotel again when I’m back in Shanghai! Only gripe was that during the weekend, the porridge dishes were very quickly finished by other guests and not promptly refilled, but since it’s free it wasn’t that big of a deal, just left us a tiny bit disappointed since it was so yummy! 🥹

New and clean hotel. Location is 10-15 walk from Jing’an Temple station (Exit 8). Managed to do early check in and late check out. Practical and modern room and sufficient amenities (dental kit, comb etc). Enough USB and charging port. Staff are friendly as well:)

We stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is also known as Holiday inn express in Nanjing west area. The nearest metro is the Jingam Temple metro. The hotel team is helpful. Nice cafes and shops mall in 15-20 mins walk. The room and washroom are clean.

The hotel was very clean and modern, spacious too with plenty of room to lay out luggages. You can also order food delivery to the hotel and they’ll send it up in a robot, and have your Taobao parcels delivered here too :) The staff are pretty friendly and are willing to help if they’re able to! They also kindly extended our check out to 3pm once they knew our flight was at 7pm. The laundry services are free too and you can check the status/availability of the washers and dryers on the tv. Would recommend staying! :)

It was overall a great stay. The lobby is cozy, fragrant and dimly lit with soft yellow lighting. The room is not very big but there was enough space to move around comfortably. Love the shower with instant heating and water temperature digitally displayed and the hairdryer has good wind strength. The toilet seat is electronically kept warm and wash basin tap comes with hot water, which really made a difference during cold weather. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with variety enough for a nutritious start to the day. The noodles made by the robot was unexpectedly quite tasty. The complimentary late night porridge was also a warm touch to end the day for guests. There are books spread out throughout the public spaces for guests to borrow (all Chinese books though). The location is rather convenient, about 10-15min walk to 2 metro stations, Jing An Temple Station and Nanjing West Rd station, lots of eateries nearby and a few shopping malls like Kerry Centre are also within walking distance, plus the beautiful Jing An Temple of course. Special thanks to the kind staff named Weekend (Zhou Mo) who extended complimentary late check out till 4pm in view of my late flight.
