Jin Jiang Tower

The Shanghai New Jinjiang Hotel is a five-star hotel situated in the heart of Shanghai's Huaihai Road. Although it's an older hotel, dating back to the reform and opening-up period, it has been renovated and refurbished, ensuring its facilities and environment remain top-notch. The service standards haven't dropped either; the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, restaurant, and doormen, are all very warm and attentive to guests. The hotel has two standout features worth praising: first, the guest room windows can be opened slightly for ventilation, which is much more comfortable than the sealed windows found in most high-end hotels. Second, it boasts the uniquely designed and decorated Blue Sky Revolving Restaurant, where dining is a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend it with five stars.

I was a bit worried the Jin Jiang Hotel might be showing its age and have outdated facilities, but it turned out to be excellent! The lobby is still grand and impressive. The front desk service was attentive and thorough; they even proactively upgraded my room. The room itself was quite spacious, and the view from the 38th floor was great.

A grand old five-star hotel. The ceiling height felt a bit low, and parking wasn't very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful, with about half the guests being foreigners. On the bedside tables, there were two lamps, but I couldn't find the switch! 😇 The next day, I specifically asked a staff member and discovered the switches were connected to the lamp bases. There was a round hole on the bedside table, and wouldn't you know it, the switches had fallen into the holes on both sides… I never would have guessed!

This hotel was a serendipitous find for our family trip. It has a strong state-owned enterprise vibe, an excellent location, but might not be on the radar for younger travelers. The hotel is conveniently located just across a 5-meter road from Exit 3 of Huaihai Road Middle Station on Metro Line 13. However, the entrance is a bit narrow, and parking space is limited, so I'd recommend using public transport. The hotel is very well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The staff are highly professional, polite, and presentable. A special mention goes to the housekeeping staff; they were exceptionally courteous, with a distinct 'state-owned enterprise executive' style – take that as you will, haha. Overall, I found their service attitude and sense of boundaries to be excellent. Upon check-in, the front desk staff learned it was our first stay and kindly offered a complimentary upgrade to a high-floor room with a view. From there, we could take in the most central panoramic views of Puxi, Shanghai, which was a truly generous gesture. Many thanks! Breakfast was more organized than I expected. Given the hotel's high number of floors, I was worried it would be crowded, but the actual situation was well within acceptable limits. Generally, the food's hygiene, taste, and variety were all good. However, perhaps due to the larger number of guests at breakfast, some individual staff members occasionally seemed a bit rushed in their responses, but overall, it was very good. The room was exceptionally spacious, and the bathroom facilities were all well-maintained. Here are a couple of suggestions: 1) The air conditioning is centrally managed by the hotel for cooling. During certain seasons, the AC cannot be turned on (for example, it was winter during our stay, but the weather was actually quite warm these two days), so we had to ask hotel staff to help open the windows. 2) There was a lack of readily available power outlets on the bedside tables (I'm not sure if this is due to a 'state-owned enterprise standardization'), which made charging devices a little inconvenient. Overall, considering the price, location, and service, it was a very good experience. Thank you!

Finding a tranquil oasis amidst the urban hustle. The aesthetic of this hotel, from the lobby to every corner of the room, is simply stunning – every shot is a masterpiece. My favorite part was enjoying a drink by the floor-to-ceiling windows in the evening, with the city skyline as a backdrop, watching all my fatigue melt away. The service team is well-trained, providing just the right amount of attentive care that made me feel incredibly comfortable. This wasn't just a simple stay; it was a brief escape that healed both mind and body. Highly recommend it to those who appreciate quality.
