Movie Hotel (Shanghai Bund City God Temple Store)

A bit run down on the room. Given torn towels. Fortunately, the place is near Yu garden.

Smelly all around the elevator , rooms and corridors . Unpleasant smells and ac not cold . So many dust in the room and the furnitures , what a horrifying hotel at shanghai . Never seen a worse hotel than this movie hotel And also they claimed to have projector screen , and it's also not working Worst hotel i've stayed in CHINA , i've travaled to multiple cities .

Within walking distance to Yuyuan Garden and the bazaar, in a room which was a little run down but large and comfortable, at a very reasonable price, it's definitely a good choice.

The room was generally good. Next to the mall. But the toilet was awful. I guess they didn't clean it up in good manner. Smelly of urine odor. Had to spray with my perfume to cover it up.

The receptionist that spoke English was fantastic. She was so helpful in securing a reservation for us at a specific restaurant as my Chinese is not fluent. The hotel is in a good location, however it is very old or looks old. It is also just has that dirty look from being old.. My friend had the same style room however I only had a chair in the other room but she had a couch and coffee table 😑 It wasn't a big deal as we were gona most of the time, bit proper furniturewould have been nice. Everything was old and run down though. There is NO electrical outlet in the bathroom, very important to know ahead of time. So to fix my hair for the nice restaurant, I had to run to a mirror and then run to where the kettle was to curl my hair. There was no mirror put in the living space either. The last day a roach came out to die in between the doorway of the bedroom and the living space. Sigh haha. At least it waited till the last day. The water pressure is really good and great hot water. If they did a deep clean and updated their furniture I would stay again, but until then... or bought furniture so they could properly decorate haha.

The receptionist didn't speak any English. She did her best to help us, provided us with adapters for free. The bathroom needs to be renovated, the water leaked from the sink and the shower looks like it needs to be renovated as well. Room was clean.
