AAnonymous UserA family of three went to Shangdi for fun, and a friend recommended a homestay.
The boss and the boss's wife are very nice, enthusiastic pick-up and drop-off, and the route is very clear, so you don't take the wrong way in and out of the park! (This is very important when your legs and waist are about to be broken after playing all day)
The homestay is in the village, the environment is very quiet, the cows and horses like it very much, and so does my family. I hope to live here for a month or two without working to cleanse my soul😂
There is a swimming pool in front of the homestay. The temperature is not enough now and it has not been opened. The children like it very much😍 The swing downstairs is also very popular! In addition, the smart toilet in the room is great!
Finally, I have to highly praise the pancakes from the boss's breakfast stall. The children ate it for two mornings and didn't eat enough!

Since my departure the next day was from Terminal 2 at Shanghai Pudong Airport, I chose this hotel as it was as close to the airport as possible and with good access.
Regarding access, the Shanghai International Tourism Holiday Area Station on the City Line Airport Link is about a five-minute walk away, and it takes about ten minutes to get to Shanghai Pudong Airport from this station.
For this reason, this hotel is highly recommended for those who are worried about getting to their flight and are worried about getting stuck in traffic on the day of their return.
The Wi-Fi in my room did not work immediately after I arrived, but after explaining the situation to the front desk staff, they were able to help right away.
Although I stayed alone, the room itself was quite spacious and clean, allowing me to spend the last day of my China trip in a relaxed atmosphere.
There are also a large dog and a white cat at the hotel, who appear to be part of the front desk staff's family, so this hotel is also recommended for animal lovers.
Thank you for letting us end our trip in China with a wonderful stay!
I'll definitely come back to stay again next time!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my recent stay at this homestay! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness. The hosts are some of the most thoughtful and caring people I’ve ever met — they truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed.
One thing that really stood out was how **pet-friendly** the place is. I brought my dog with me, and he was in absolute heaven! He had the freedom to roam around the property, enjoy the open space, and relax just as much as I did. It was such a relief to find a place that treats pets like family — it made the stay even more special.
The homestay itself is beautiful— every corner of the space is thoughtfully designed, cozy, and spotless. It has a peaceful charm that makes it feel like a true escape from the noise of everyday life. The surroundings are calm, quiet, and perfect for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. I spent hours just enjoying the tranquility.
Another big plus was the convenience. There are shops and small stores you can order from, so I was able to order anything I needed with ease. The hosts even helped me get some medication- which is something I’ll never forget. Their care and attentiveness made me feel safe and looked after.
Every interaction with the hosts was a delight — they were never intrusive, but always available if I needed help. It’s rare to find such a perfect balance of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality. They truly made me feel at home.
I’m already counting down the days until I can return. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with incredible hosts, pet-friendly freedom, and all the comforts you could ask for, this homestay is an absolute dream. I can't wait to come back and soak in the peace, the kindness, and the beauty all over again. Highly, highly recommended! The breakfast was also very nice- they made us this delicious toasted sandwich.

223cruzOverall the lane house is decent set within a lively Shanghai Lane House experience. We lived in 2 for 2 months when we first moved to Shanghai. This was our return trip to revisit our home of 4 yrs. The initial photos for Guisu Homestay with the charming window view doesn’t match the initial sell, but the detailed photos of the actual space does. However it’s smaller than it looks, as the top loft and kitchen counts within the measurement. So if you’re a family of 4 then this is perfect since the middle room will give you space to sit. But if you are 5 with the sofa permanently done up as a bed then it’s tight. All was good except the the shower doors were a little run down and shower was gunky and could use a little redo. All in all a good experience. The host was responsive to our needs but strict on the 12noon checkout. The neighborhood and overall location is unbeatable. Close to great food and served as our center base to revisit the French Concession from Jing An. Definitely a good place if this is your first time in Shanghai.

From direction to get to accommodation by subway, to locating the wifi router and map to nearest convenience store. The room is very comfy and the location is fantastic. Located at 淮海中路，黄埔 area, diagonally across the famous 光明邨大酒家。 Will recommend this accommodation to my friends visiting Shanghai.

SShardaleEverything went smoothly to check in and to check out. The communication with the manager on my wechat was clear and quick, as well as polite. They were nice to offer a late checkout when asked as well. It's a great location near some fun bars and restaurants as well as a lovely park. We had our dog with us and he loved his walks there plus we all loved the room, especially the bed which was super big and comfortable as well as the beautiful view! The AC cooled up the room perfectly and the couch was comfy too. Appreciated the washing machine too. There is a grocery shop downstairs to get snacks, drinks or cleaning items and you can order delivery which will come up to your door. A great stay and will come back again! :)

The kitchen can be used for cooking and has a refrigerator. It is more comfortable than a hotel. There is also a dining table for eating takeout, which is very convenient. GGuest UserThe hotel is a little bit far away from the city center, but you can take a bus to get to the nearest subway, overall the hotel is clean and the room was spacious. There's some maintenance that needs to be done because it looks older than the pictures.
I wouldn't reccomend it if you're solo travelling or with friends because the place is more targeted to families and there are usually a lot of children around so it's a bit noisy, and there is no coffee shop or restaurants near the area.
The lady at the reception was always available to help even if I couldn't speak chinese.

GGuest UserThe room is big enough for a family of four. Although the facilities are old, the owner is very nice. Most importantly, it is very close to the Bund, which is great for morning jogging. It is also close to Yu Garden and Chenghuang Temple, so you can walk less when you bring your kids.
