Shanghai Hotels with Bars

Having stayed at numerous top-tier five-star hotels both domestically and internationally, especially many in Shanghai, The Bellagio Shanghai is one of the very few that makes me want to return again and again. It's grand yet refined, with impeccable attention to detail. This stay was even better; Penny from guest services was beautiful and enthusiastic. She called and messaged me in advance to inquire about my check-in needs, and upon learning I was with a friend's family, she proactively arranged our rooms on the same floor and close to each other. She thoughtfully prepared fruit and toiletries for the children and even helped coordinate with their partner brand, Range Rover, for station drop-off, ensuring my friend's family and I had a perfect stay. The location is superb, convenient for both The Bund and North Bund, offering Suzhou Creek views, quiet yet central. Another highlight is the fantastic breakfast; The Bellagio's mini wontons are arguably the best in the country. This is a purely handwritten review, and I am extremely, extremely satisfied.

This is my second time at the Ritz-Carlton Pudong, and the facilities are, as expected, top-notch. Since I have a flight to the UK in two days, I decided to spend both days fully enjoying the hotel experience. The concierge team thoughtfully prepared extra bottled water for me in advance, and also gifted me a little lion charm and a personalized room key. The handwritten card was a truly warm and sincere touch, showing they remembered details I had mentioned, and they even helped me with restaurant reservations. I also took the opportunity to experience the Ritz-Carlton spa. While the price might be a bit higher, the quality of service and the staff's attitude are absolutely impeccable.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, being close to the Pudong International Exhibition Center and Century Park, which is super convenient for attending exhibitions and sightseeing. There are shopping malls and a subway station nearby, making transportation a breeze. The pool is fantastic, and the service is top-notch, especially Nancy's service, which truly stood out. She was diligent and responsible, genuinely friendly, and communicated with great detail and patience. She quickly understood our needs and went above and beyond to help us resolve various issues, working efficiently and reliably. Her service was perfectly balanced – attentive without being intrusive. Overall, the experience was great, and her professionalism was outstanding. A sincere thank you to Nancy for her dedicated efforts; I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations! First off, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows really brightened my day, and the daily room cleaning was impeccable. Second, a special shout-out to the housekeeping lady – I have back issues and can't sleep on soft beds, so I mentioned it to her when I left. When I returned, I found the mattress had been flipped, and I slept incredibly comfortably. Third, the room service was prompt and polite. Fourth, the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious, and the late-night noodles were fantastic – who knew I could come back at 11 PM and get a piping hot and tasty bowl of soup noodles! Lastly, the airport drop-off service was such a thoughtful touch. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Disneyland!

Visiting Shanghai during the Tourism Festival, choosing to stay at the Waldorf Astoria on the Bund was hands down the best decision of this trip. Staying in a century-old building, with stunning city views of both sides of the Huangpu River right outside your window. Our dedicated concierge, Aaron Echole, was incredibly knowledgeable about local festivities and gave us thoughtful tips for the float parade and light festival, saving us the hassle of planning everything ourselves. It truly allowed us to immerse ourselves in the romance of Shanghai in autumn. The hardware, service, and superb location – all were exceptional. This hotel is definitely a top recommendation for anyone visiting Shanghai.

While the basic accommodation needs are met, there's definitely room for improvement in the details. In the mornings, there was often a loud banging noise from the corridor, which was quite disruptive and woke me up early, preventing a good night's sleep. The in-room facilities felt quite dated, and the bathroom waterproofing was inadequate; water would easily seep out during showers, making the floor slippery – a minor but present hazard. I hope the hotel considers renovating and upgrading the bathroom facilities and improving sound insulation between floors. On the positive side, the hotel's unique scenery and ambiance are big pluses. The lobby frequently features a resident band playing live music, creating a wonderful atmosphere in the common areas with their melodious tunes. The rooftop bar offers expansive views and an excellent sightseeing experience. The antique Rolls-Royce parked outside is a rare sight and makes for a stylish photo opportunity. Overall, it's a mixed bag of pros and cons.

This stay was a truly wonderful surprise! ✨ First and foremost, the river view from the room was absolutely stunning! The moment I opened the curtains, the entire cityscape of Shanghai and the river view unfolded before my eyes. It was so beautiful, words can't even describe it. The joy and happiness I felt in that moment really can't be fully captured by photos. Just sitting in the room, quietly gazing at the view outside, already made this trip feel incredibly worthwhile. ❤️ I especially want to thank the front desk staff! Their service was truly outstanding, so friendly and professional, and incredibly enthusiastic. She even thoughtfully upgraded our room, giving us this fantastic river view room. I have to say, this surprise really elevated the entire check-in experience to another level! A huge thank you for her attentiveness and service. Meeting such staff during a trip truly leaves a lasting and excellent impression of a hotel. Also, the hotel's rooftop is definitely a must-visit! If you're staying here, don't miss the views from the rooftop. Standing there and looking at Shanghai's cityscape and the river view, the panoramic sight is truly breathtaking. It's beautiful during the day, and when the lights come on at night, it's a completely different atmosphere. The entire splendor of Shanghai is right before your eyes; it's truly, truly gorgeous. From the room view and hotel service to the overall experience, this stay left me extremely satisfied. Especially in a city like Shanghai, being able to have such a beautiful river view room, waking up to such a scene in the morning, and enjoying Shanghai's dazzling night view in the evening, is truly blissful. If you're traveling to Shanghai, I highly recommend staying here once! Whether you're on a romantic trip, traveling with friends, or simply looking for a place to truly enjoy Shanghai's urban scenery, this place is absolutely worth it. 💕

Anyone booking the W for Qixi Festival is probably looking for that nightclub-style date vibe 🌝, and it definitely didn't disappoint! The room decor and lighting created such a great atmosphere. I asked the front desk for room number 10, and they accommodated my request. The view of the 'Three-Piece Set' (referring to the iconic skyline) at night was absolutely breathtaking – major thumbs up! I'd heard before that W's service wasn't great, but after experiencing it myself, I found it to be quite on point. Communication was smooth, and the staff's attitude was excellent. The restaurant food was delicious! I slept in the next morning and missed breakfast, and honestly, I feel like I lost a million bucks 🌝. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would definitely come back given the chance.

Excellent stay at Grand Central Hotel Shanghai! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We stayed in the Deluxe Business Double Room, and it was huge, spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom layout was especially impressive, with two sinks, a separate toilet, and separate shower facilities, which made it very convenient for a couple. My husband was particularly impressed with the room and said he would definitely like to stay at the same hotel again if we return to Shanghai. The hotel location is very convenient, and our room was clean and well maintained. The reception staff were polite, professional and helpful throughout our stay. The bell boys were also very helpful and attentive, always ready to assist us when needed. What impressed me most was the housekeeping team. The housekeepers were exceptionally warm, attentive and friendly. Whenever they saw us returning to our room, they would proactively check if we needed our room cleaned or required anything. They were always smiling and greeted us warmly whenever we met them. Their thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality made us feel very welcome. it is never an easy job to be a housekeeper tho. While the reception team was professional and courteous, the housekeepers added an extra personal warmth that made our stay especially pleasant and memorable. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Grand Central Hotel Shanghai. Excellent room, excellent service and wonderful hospitality. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Shanghai! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic—within easy walking distance of Shanghai Railway Station. If you’re traveling through Shanghai and need to transfer to Pudong Airport, this is a very convenient place for an overnight stay or layover. The customer service was superb. The front desk staff were friendly, professional, and very efficient. Mr. Li was especially helpful, and it was obvious that he takes his job very seriously. Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We really had nothing to complain about. The hotel also offers a breakfast buffet with a good variety of selections, which was very convenient before heading out in the morning. Thumbs up for the front-lobby décor! My daughters loved the fountain with the colorful goldfish. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Great location, excellent service, and comfortable accommodations. We would definitely stay here again!
