Service is very nice and helpful. I got a lot of tips that were very valuable to me. Near the metro line. Shower is provided only for women with excellent cosmetics for people who care for the skin. I recommend. If I ever welcome to Osaka, I'll be sure to come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. Although the space is compact, it felt surprisingly spacious for the two of us and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was well equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator, TV, microwave, kitchen, and cooking utensils. We especially loved the balcony, as it was perfect for drying our clothes every day. What impressed us the most was the host's kindness and hospitality. We arrived in Osaka after a long flight, feeling exhausted and sleep-deprived, so we asked if an early check-in might be possible. The host kindly accommodated our request at no extra charge, which we truly appreciated. Being able to rest before exploring Osaka made a huge difference to our trip. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Osaka and would happily stay here again!

The location is easy to find. You have to take off your shoes and go up to the front desk on the second floor. The capsule rooms are small but sufficient. There are many capsules in one room, so it's inevitable that there's a slight odor, but it's not a big issue. I arrived late, so my suitcase had to be left in the hallway, but they provided a safety lock, and it was actually more convenient to pack in the hallway. The lockers and capsules are in the same space, so the capsules near the lockers might not be very quiet. There are a bit few sinks, so you might have to wait during peak hours. The cleanliness and service were both good. One afternoon, I saw a staff member cleaning the room very diligently. Overall, the experience was comfortable, and the price was very reasonable. I would consider staying here again.

I ended my stay early for a couple of reasons. One; the mattress in my pod was too short and my feet hung off the and. I’m nearly 6 foot. Also, the guy in the pod next to me was snoring very, very loudly all night. Sue the manager kindly let me switch to another pod but I was still uncomfortable so she allowed me to check out early. Also, the place is very cramped and cluttered. Stuff everywhere. It just didn’t suit me. But Sue was unbelievably helpful, kind and understanding.

What I like about Jakotel is the location and modern facilities. It is located near Dotonbori and super near Kuromon market (though avoid eating there. It’s a tourist trap with super expensive and not so good food). As mentioned by others, though it says Namba but the nearest station is Nipponbashi. Bed and duvet is comfortable and facilities are kept clean. What I didn’t like is that the shower room is on the first floor for everyone (a tad inconvenient). But since I knew about it from past review, I brought a waterproof toiletries bag. Toilets are on each floor - only 1 per floor. Though there are only 2 shower room, I really didn’t have to wait at all even though the hostel is fairly full. However, since the door to the shower room is not closed, you have to dress inside the shower. The wash basin area is really for just that, washing hands or putting on make up. The other thing that could be improved is communication. There is no way to communicate with the hostel. They don’t reply to chat online and calling them is also not helpful. It’s quite concerning when you want to verify booking, confirm check in details or request for top/bottom bunk. Email for check in came 5 days before check in. Other than the regular cleaners around, there is no other staff. The cleaners are mostly Vietnamese and speak very little English but they do try to help (albeit the language barrier). Check in and check out is automated.

Excellent value for money. Do note that you'll need a smartphone with an internet connection to check in upon arrival. For women, there are three showers, but I personally never had to wait to use them. Wifi and a fridge are available in the room, which was very clean. Regarding the neighborhood, I had seen some negative reviews; indeed, there are a few homeless people around, but on the other hand, it's right next to a metro station and some nice areas are within walking distance. Shopping malls and grocery stores are also right nearby.

5/5　　Vacation ❘ Solo --- This is the kind of hotel you want to return to each time you're in Osaka. The hotel is very new, so everything is exceptionally clean, crisp and gives the feeling of a much more expensive hotel. LOBBY The Lobby area is open, bright and fresh - with a few tables, a bench, with power-points. There's a drinks vending machine and a very high quality coffee/matcha machine at reception which is free to use!! Also a hot-water dispenser and a Microwave available 24/7. There are also separate toilets there. There's a huge TV which you can use to log into all your favourite streaming apps. There's an isolated smoking area for those of you that would need it. They have 3 Laundry washing machines and 3 dryers - which will only cost 480 Yen for a full load to wash and dry. (Get the detergent from reception, and follow the instructions on the door for a warm dry cycle, as it defaults to cool!!) Just ask at reception if you need help!! Internet WiFi speeds are nice and fast.. about 200mb/sec up/down. Which I found to be much higher than average in the places I've stayed in Japan! They have 100 Yen (Returned) Coin-Lockers here which can be used free of charge for 24hrs before/after your stay! ROOMS A lift is available to all floors. The rooms are clean, and adequately sized. The facilities are faultless. Sparkling clean. I like the Japanese-styled toilet, shower/bath, and sink. The lighting in the room is good. The AC is new, so works very well - Ask at reception if you need translation on the remote buttons. This hotel also provides free toothbrushes, razors, hairbrush, bath powder, slippers, bath robe, and if you need to borrow and return - Phone chargers (USB-C and Lightning), Kettle, Iron. All rooms have a small TV, hair-dryer and a packet of earbuds to help you sleep. LOCATION The location is excellent. Straight off the Dobutsuen-mae stop on the Midosuji (red) Line - this makes transit to/from anywhere exceptionally easy and convenient. Yet you can also walk to many local restaurants and shops in this area. You're in the heart of a very touristy area! You have SpaWorld Onsen and Tennoji Zoo within walking distances. So, yes, you are going to hear road noise/sirens and trains running - just use the free ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. I am a light sleeper, but slept very well here - The new beds and new bedding go a long way towards comfort! STAFF All of the staff are warm, polite, and can't do enough to help you enjoy your stay here. Very friendly, almost like a Guest-house style. They really appreciate it if you try to speak Japanese with them. Although they can speak English and will use translate if needed. They take an interest and take time to speak with Guests - If there's anything you need, don't be shy and ask - They will try to help!

This hotel is conveniently located near Tsutenkaku and Shin-Imamiya, and the price is quite affordable, which is expected for Nishinari Ward. It's not noisy at all, as it's set back from the main road. Finding food isn't an issue, and transportation is super convenient. With a JR Pass, you can easily get around all of Osaka, and even head to Uji or Nara, though some connections might require a transfer in Osaka. However, the prices in Osaka itself are subjective and can be quite high.

This is my second time staying here, and the location is incredibly convenient for shopping. Everyone is quiet, and there's a kitchen. I'll definitely be back next time!

I stayed at a hotel in Osaka and had a mixed experience. The staff were very nice, always polite and willing to assist, which made me feel welcome. The location was also convenient, with easy access to the main sights and transportation. However, the cleanliness of the hotel could have been better. Some areas did not feel as well maintained as they should, which was a little disappointing. The amenities were just average, functional but not impressive. Overall, the hotel was fine for a short stay, thanks to the friendly staff and good location, but it would benefit from improvements in cleanliness and facilities.
