Choosing a guesthouse was a good option for our group of four friends. We happened to have a suite with a small loft.
It was a family-run guesthouse; the owner seemed to live there himself. The most unique feature was Lulu, a sika deer. My friends especially loved her; she was very gentle and didn't smell much. Lulu was very clean, haha, but she was a bit greedy.
Breakfast had a good variety of options, a typical Chinese family breakfast: porridge, fried noodles, steamed buns, eggs, corn, etc. Lulu especially loved the corn, haha.
Driving is better for getting around. If you need a taxi, you'll have to call about 20 minutes in advance. If you're lucky, a driver will be available immediately after you book, but if no one is passing by, you'll have to wait a while.
The guesthouse also had an automatic mahjong machine. We were the only ones playing that day, haha. The owner was very nice; he even reminded us when we were playing late. If you need any help, you can contact him directly via WeChat. The room was quite clean, and we slept well. The air was really fresh and comfortable. It was drizzling a little when we went, otherwise we could have sat on the lawn, had coffee, and chatted about the three lakes. Overall, we were very satisfied.

This was my first time visiting Moganshan, and I booked the Shangpo B&B based on Ctrip's ratings and reviews. I was really impressed by the welcome letter, which showed the owner is cultured and thoughtful, and it immediately heightened my expectations for this 'paradise on earth'...
The B&B is nestled amidst mountains and bamboo forests, with a three-story, reddish-orange Tuscan-style exterior that exudes a vintage charm. It feels incredibly exotic being surrounded by the bamboo sea and mountains. The environment here is serene and peaceful, truly a 'paradise away from the hustle and bustle' as described in the welcome letter.
The room was clean and elegant, offering mountain views right from the moment you open the door. Every detail exuded a subtle luxury. My favorite part was the artwork in the common areas – several Picasso-esque paintings by Dutch artists, paired with light luxury, simple European furniture, creating a striking visual contrast between modern and vintage that sparks a unique aesthetic romance.
Both the Chinese and Western meals here were incredibly delicious, fresh, and exquisitely prepared. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner could all be customized to guests' requests; it truly felt like everyone was a VIP.
The service at the B&B was also outstanding. Coffee and mineral water were provided free of charge and unlimited throughout the day! The housekeeper was warm, attentive, and incredibly responsive to every request. This is, without a doubt, the best-serviced B&B I've ever stayed at. I will definitely be back!

I was very satisfied with the room! The lady boss was nice and kind. She also upgraded the room. The room was very large and comfortable. There was a small balcony outside the floor-to-ceiling window, with a view of the courtyard. I went to the hot springs at night. I brought my own iPad to watch TV series. Before the bath, I told the lady boss that she would provide bathrobes and slippers. It was very considerate. I forgot to bring makeup remover oil, but she still provided it! It was really nice. I will choose this B&B again when I come to Moganshan next time. Great~

Our two-day 'retreat' with my mom and grandma has come to a perfect end! A big thank you to our butler, Xiao Liu, for the thoughtful arrangements. He upgraded our rooms and every meal was delicious. The elders in my family are always so happy when they're in a natural, mountain setting. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed – we didn't have to prepare a thing. Plus, there were charging stations for our electric car, so all we had to do was relax. We'll definitely be back!

I stayed here during the New Year's holiday and had a great overall experience!
1) Service: 100 points. Attentive and thoughtful. They added me on WeChat to inquire about my arrival time and turned on the underfloor heating in advance. They helped with my luggage upon check-in, and when my car tire pressure was low and there were no repair shops nearby, they even borrowed an air pump from the owner, solving a major problem.
2) Facilities: The guesthouse's exterior and interior decoration were decent, and it was well-maintained. I booked this place specifically for the hot springs. The hot springs are private and circulated, with one hour per household, but that was plenty of time. I booked my desired time in advance with the owner via WeChat.
3) Other: The location is great, a 5-minute drive from the Houwu distribution center of Moganshan Scenic Area. The breakfast was delicious; while the selection wasn't huge, everything was good, just like my parents' lovingly prepared breakfast.

This is a very nice B&B and I've already recommended it to friends. The setting is artistic, the service is warm, the breakfast and lunch are delicious, and the pool is nice; the kids had a blast. The room facilities are well-planned and the details are well-designed. I'd stay here again.

A resort hotel in Moganshan.
Over the weekend, with great weather and comfortable temperatures, I met up with friends to enjoy a relaxing two-day trip, complete with a BBQ and hot springs. The hotel has convenient parking with a decent-sized lot, and there are charging stations right at the main entrance, which is very handy. Outdoors, there are five fairly large tables perfect for dining and drinks. The overall environment is lovely, and the service is excellent. The only downside is that the TV is a bit old, small, and doesn't support screen mirroring. 😀

Meeting the deer/cute animal interaction: The deer are super cute and friendly, and the place is very clean. Most importantly, the staff service is amazing! We missed breakfast, and the staff even asked if we had eaten and then cooked us a bowl of noodles. Highly recommend, will definitely come again next time!

Guest UserI chose this place after seeing many reviews. It's like a sanatorium in Shanghai, and I often heard people speaking Shanghainese among the guests.
The location is next to a villa complex, and you can walk to nearby attractions. If you're driving, many sights can be enjoyed right from the road, which is very convenient. A friendly reminder: you can't drive into the attractions themselves, so this location is perfect for self-driving tours.
I stayed in the main building, which was built later. The decor has a lovely民國 (Republic of China era) style. It seems some of the pre-liberation villas are also occupied, but I'm not sure if they all belong to Moganshanzhuang.
The best part was that during the May Day holiday, Moganshan was rainy and freezing. But the room actually had a heating air conditioner! I spent a wonderfully warm night in the rainy mountain, which was incredibly thoughtful. Two thumbs up! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

My trip to Moganshan was spurred by a rare good weather weekend and a spontaneous decision. I blindly booked this B&B on Trip.com simply because I liked its name, 'Moshangyin'. I'm just a hopelessly spontaneous person. My suitcase packed clothes for tomorrow, my camera, and a bottle of red wine. I specifically booked a room with a bathtub, hoping to get tipsy under a sky full of stars before drifting off to sleep.
However, the reality was I ended up sharing that bottle of wine over a staff meal at the B&B. I met the lovely and fun Sister Fen, known as 'Moganshan's Queen', and the incredibly approachable and wise B&B owner, Da Ling. She cooked me delicious shredded pork noodles and helped me take many great photos. I was the only guest who got to join that meal, simply because I was the only solo guest at the whole B&B – how both sad and interesting is that? In my heart, Moshangyin in Moganshan definitely deserves a five-star review.
