Absolutely fantastic! It's an old-school, grand hotel that's really impressive. The management is excellent, the rooms are well-maintained, and the bathroom was spotless – not a spec of dirt anywhere. Our suite had multiple balconies, but the neighboring Sky Room offers a better value with its direct view of Taipei 101, even if the balcony is a bit smaller. The eastward-facing rooms have great views of the river, Taipei 101, and the city skyline with its bustling highway. I highly recommend the Grand Hotel Yuanshan – it's truly beautiful!

The room was great, and I loved the scent in the air. The location was very convenient, with parking close to the entrance. Breakfast had a wide variety of options, and the Wi-Fi was stable. Overall, a really good experience!

Truly grand and impressive, with very enthusiastic staff. There's a free shuttle service to and from the MRT station, and it's not far from Shilin Night Market – easily within walking distance. The Elite Sky Room offers great city views. The three restaurants, Yuan Yuan, Jin Long, and Song He, each have their own unique flair.

The views are fantastic, don't miss the sunset! I highly recommend checking out Midao Bar for drinks – it's affordable and you get free access to Dong Midao. The location is a bit inconvenient, being up on the mountain, but thankfully the hotel provides a shuttle service.

Incredible hotel stay with something to look at everywhere you go. The view of Taipei is incredible. Every staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The lunch buffet was delicious, so much variety of food. Would highly recommend a stay or at least do the underground passage tour if you have the chance. I would certainly be back again!

I frequently visit Taipei, but this was my first time staying at the Grand Hotel. Its vibrant red aesthetic is incredibly captivating; every time the MRT passes by, I can't help but take an extra look. My direct experience staying here was excellent. Even though it was a windowless room, it didn't feel stuffy at all, and there were no odors, which shows how diligently the hotel manages its rooms. The breakfast spread was exceptionally rich – I ate for an hour and was completely stuffed! You can also visit the secret tunnels; this time I went to the East Secret Tunnel. It cost 500 TWD, and you can book it at a counter near the hotel's front desk.

So impressed, the building, the services and the food. It also provides shuttle between the hotel and nearby metro which is very convenient for tourists.

Overall, it was a great stay. The staff were all very friendly and approachable. The only downside is the location, which can't be changed. I'd encourage them to improve their transportation management. I would consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan.

Super great hotel with nice location, good food and excellent service.  Will come to stay in this hotel again whenever come to Taipei

The staff are very accommodating they speak English very well..the room service is also okay, we stayed for two nights ..the hotel is huge.. many Instagrammable locations.. the food also was great ..

The room was great, very clean, and the front desk staff were really welcoming. The breakfast was delicious, and the location is super convenient for transportation – easy to get to the station, and great for shopping and dining. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I visit.

The hotel js very famous. Many come for taking a picture same as in several Taiwan movies. The transportation between mrt station and the hotel is provided, but taxi is convenient too.

I love the musicians playing music in the lobby, make a memorable stay.

For the money, it's well worth for the iconic hotel. Even the inside room has good insulation. Next time we will try a room with view. Location is a bit off main attraction, just need to take the free shuttle or cab to go places.
