"⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5) Comfortable Stay and Great Location I stayed at the Holiday Inn Taunton and had a very comfortable experience. The hotel is easy to access, just off the M5, which made it a convenient base for exploring Somerset or stopping over during a longer journey. The room was clean and quiet, with everything I needed — a comfy bed, a good shower, and a desk area. Wi-Fi worked well, and I appreciated the tea/coffee station. While the decor is slightly dated in some areas, everything was well-maintained. Staff were friendly, helpful, and professional from check-in to check-out. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options, and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere in the evening too."

"We greatly appreciated being able to take our dog with us on our trip. Our spacious room was on the ground floor and despite a very hot day the room was cool on arrival and and spotlessly clean throughout, perfect!. The bed was very comfortable and all the room equipment worked perfectly ,TV Bathroom shower, fan etc . We stayed two nights and heard very little background noise during our stay. Thank you to all at Travelodge Taunton."

"I don’t know where to start. From the moment we walked in the staff were so friendly and helpful. Our server, Anya, was lovely and explained the carvery to us and the options we had. Our drinks were with us before we knew it and the food, just wow! We tried all three meats on the menu and to say the beef was perfectly cooked is an understatement, it was melt in the mouth. The chef was so lovely too, I wish we had got his name, young man with dark hair. My dad asked how he cooked the beef so beautifully and he took the time to tell him, really appreciated the effort as my Dad is 86 and loves a chat. The vegetables were fantastic and such a great selection, best parsnips I have ever had! I’m a very fussy eater and I ate most of mine, I only stopped as I was so full! I also saw our server deal with a very upset little girl next to us and she calmed her down with no effort and made her happy, so lovely to see as I k ow staff were busy with it being Easter Sunday! Overall, amazing experience, wonderful staff and beautiful food. Thank you for a lovely meal and feel good atmosphere."

"On arrival we were met by Caroline and Simon who both were very friendly and made us feel very welcome!! We were shown to room 3 which was homely and comfortable. We then took a lovely cold beer out into the garden to enjoy the afternoon sunshine. We ate dinner both nights if our stay, the food was very plentiful and delicious! The breakfast was also very tasty and well presented. We had an amazing time and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts to ensure you had a pleasant stay. We are looking forward to our next visit!"

"Greenham Hall is an excellent place in a beautiful countryside setting. Rooms were clean, comfortable and had great views. The gardens and the restored victorian house are delightful. Caro, the hostess, is lovely. She was very helpful and kind throughout and went out of the way to make us feel at home.The breakfast was homemade and delicious. Highly recommended and thank you Caro for a wonderful stay!"

"This is a lovely small country hotel on the edge of Taunton The rooms are well appointed with a very comfortable bed We were attending a post funeral tea and an overnight stay The host Cherie really knows how to look after her guests 7 of us were staying over and made good use of the library room which is very comfortable with arm chairs and sofas The breakfast nicely cooked to order with th very high quality ingredients and very friendly service Will certainly visit again"
