"The hotel's location is good, close to the seafront, restaurants, and snack bars. The hotel's website doesn't mention it's a holiday village, but there are one or two entertainment events per week (like evening concerts). There's a staircase next to the bar that leads more quickly to the port side, but the steps are dangerous. One step is sloped, making you lean forward, and another has a wooden rod right in front of it. This nearly ruined my stay because I fell (luckily, just scrapes). We didn't have meals at the hotel because there are plenty of options around."

"Nice friendly welcome, easy parking for drop off bags. Had upstairs room, comfy bed, good shower. Should have booked evening meal (it was Sunday and smelled wonderful). Good nights sleep, quiet. Standard buffet breakfast, but plenty of it. Reasonably priced so most happy, will return as mid - way between port and or Franch home. Mareuil is pretty too, and I got some fishing in next morning on the Lay. Perfick."

"A great hotel on the seafront. Lovely sea view room. The dinner and breakfast package is worth having. Food great. Good choice of wines and varied breakfast choices too. The serving staff are quite young and don’t have the interaction that one experiences with older staff - but we all have to learn don’t we! A very minor point."

"In many ways the hoitel is better than the overall score I have given it. The main reasons for the low score: 1 - Our room on the groundfloor of the annexe had no sound insulation from the room above. ( woken at 1am to listen to loud voices and again at 6.15am. Every footstep above could be heard. 2 - The shower in this room was over a bath. The bath was 'plastic' and moved under my weight. Not what I would have expected in this class of hotel. What's wrong with a walk in shower? However, on the positives: - The staff were great. The Orangerie restaurant served superb food. The pool was great. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The grounds are superb and the ambience is welcoming. A great place to stay if visiting Puy Du Fou."
