Bright, modern and lots of space, as is the room. The staff and service were absolutely first class, treated us as if we were the only couple staying. It’s ideally located perched right on the cliff edge and just a ten minute drive from Wilderness town. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending Views, thank you & well done to their great team of people."

Our room was spacious, had its own deck area and loungers. The bathroom is luxurious, massive bath and double shower. Breakfast is cooked to order. This was a repeat visit and we'll definitely be back!"

"The Garden Route in South Africa's Western Cape is certainly one of the most beautiful regions in a country that is not short of wonderful landscapes. And Wilderness is one of the most beautiful places there. If your trip takes you there, then we can definitely recommend the Boardwalk Lodge for an overnight stay. Situated in a slightly elevated position and just a few minutes' walk from the beach, the rooms are individual cottages nestled in the greenery like chalets. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. All important areas, such as the charming breakfast room, can be reached via wooden stairs. The two owners, Chris and Melissa, have created a real gem in one of the most beautiful places in South Africa. And there's no doubt that we'll be returning here on our next visit to Wilderness. "It is a guest house - nice, well taken care of and recommendable but not a luxurious 4* place. Its great plus is the direct location at the sea overlooking Wilderness Beach which can be reached in a few minutes via a descending wooden boardwalk. Our room (no. 3) was a double with ocean view, two decks, a high ceiling with a chandelier, a wardrobe, a TV, a small sitting area and a bathroom. Regrettably the latter only had a somewhat wobbly bathtub and no separate shower. Breakfast came as a mini buffet with extras à la carte, beautifully arranged by lovely staff. As Room 3 was adjacent to the breakfast room our feeling of privacy suffered a bit. My advice: Rather go for the Honeymoon Suite and you may have a perfect vacation..."
The Tops
"The Tops really lives up to it's name with the best view in wilderness! The rooms are clean and beautiful, and the breakfast is great. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, but there is a luggage lift to make things easier. Within walking distance of the main street where most of the resturants are situated. My only (minor) complaint was that the parking is a little bit tricky. All in all a fantastic stay, I will definitely be back!"

"The Old Trading Post ticked all the boxes and provided us with exactly what we needed for the 4 days we spent in the Wilderness area. Off the beaten track in a private, quiet area, with plenty space for us to relax in the pool, braai or enjoy the scrumptious breakfasts and exceptional pizzas prepared by the hosts. Mike and René catered to all our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed the friendly chatter and personal service. I cant' wait to visit again!"

"Lovely magical place. Little caravans converted into a bed / kitchenette / bathroom. Magical private outdoor space, outdoor bed and living room in a greenhouse. Fairy lights and decor to feast the eyes on. Perfect place to go and chill out. Lovely friendly owners, super helpful and love life. Off the beaten track for those adventure seekers with an open mind and a sense of humour. Small touches are well noted, awesome coffee and excellent linen with the most comfortable bed ever! Remember you cannot drive your car though to the establishment, you have to walk to it, so could be a problem in the rain..."
Wilderness Beach Hotel
"This is a terrible hotel. Bad Smells, they fill the hotel with students and they were walking around at all hours of the morning, cockroaches in the bathrooms. I complained to the manager and he said they would give me a refund and when I left and contacted him he said they will not refund as they did not find cockroaches. My husband killed about 10 baby cockroaches in the bathroom and when i read other customer reviews there were MANY complaining about the same thing. So they still owe me the money. This hotel needs serious renovations- its not hotel standards any longer. They do not respond to emails and the manager Johan does not want to give me the owners details"
