"This was my second time staying here, and once again, it was a great experience. After a lovely day exploring the Grampians, it was nice to come back to a place that has everything you need. The facilities are excellent, especially the spacious kitchen which made meal prep easy and enjoyable. The common lounge area was a cozy highlight—during winter, they even have a fireplace that adds a warm, festive touch. The couch was clean and super comfy, perfect for relaxing after a long day. The room itself was very comfortable. The heater worked perfectly, and everything—from the toilet to the shower—was spotless. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Checking in and out was smooth, though it's worth noting that check-in is only available during a limited time window. At checkout, guests are asked to place used sheets in a designated area, which was clearly communicated. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!"

"A very unpleasant and disappointing experience for what was supposed to be one of the highlights of our holiday. We booked for three nights in a one bedroom village cabin but only stayed for one night due to the very strong smell of bushfire smoke impregnated into all the fabrics in the cabin - lounge, carpet and bedding- which left us coughing most of the night. The cabins quoted rate was very expensive for a fairly old and somewhat shabby cabin. Aircon was ancient and so noisy it was unable to be used at night (owner/manager Darren’s response was “oh poor you”). The overhead fan in the bedroom had had the blades removed so there was no cooling at all. We were offered a refund but when it eventually arrived it was much less than expected and our one nights stay cost us $195.00, a much higher rate than the original. No explanation of this reduction was received."
