"The location is fantastic, right next to the train station. It was so convenient to check in within a three or four-minute walk after getting off the train, especially with luggage. However, there's no elevator. Public transport is right outside, making it super easy to get to all the towns and attractions in the lake district. Breakfast was excellent and clearly prepared with great care. The staff were very welcoming and always attentive to our needs. The hotel was very clean."

"The hotel is located in a prime location overlooking the lake, the service was friendly and professional, the room was clean and comfortable, that shower was excellent if a little small, I ordered poached eggs which were done to perfection, the rest of the breakfast was buffet style which was OK. I would recommend this hotel for it's location, service and cleanliness. I think it needs a little tlc but our stay was very enjoyable"

The bedroom was wonderful, authentic but with full modern facilities and views from room 11 are exceptional. The food served in the restaurant was excellent with wide choice and high quality. The staff were all helpful and friendly. I can't really think of anything to be critical about."

Wonderful location central for discovering all Windermere has to offer. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Bed so comfy I had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was also wonderful. Highly recommend as we had such a lovely stay. We would most definitely stay again."

"We had a lovely stay here for my partners 60th Birthday . Such a good choice I made. Gorgeous room, lovely view opted for a patio area so beautiful over looking the garden. A very tasty breakfast on the morning. Staff so friendly. It's definately a little gem of a place that I had read before hand . Perfect spot to stay, just a walk away from the main shops pubs etc . Perfect ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"Its in a lovely location and close to Ambleside and Windermere. We had requested a quiet room but was put at the top of the stairs, so we could hear everyone coming and going. It was quite noisy till very late at night. We had a bath which was great, but there was no shower gel. It was a very warm hotel, if you love that, then great. I had to leave windows open all night as it was so warm and it was a cold night. However all that being said, the room was great and had everything we needed. The food was really great, hats off to the chef 😁 The staff were all really lovely and friendly. I would very much recommend a stay here."
