T Manor Tent camp

"Our two days at T Manor Tent camp were very enjoyable, with lots of peaceful walks through the plantation and some spectacular sunsets seen from our glamping tent and from the viewing area at the top of the hill which looks out over the karst-studded landscape. Our tent was located down below which was less spectacular than the tents on the hill but also less exposed and a good option. We had great service from the T Manor staff, who set up a WeChat thread so my husband could communicate with us easily as most of them didn’t speak English. One exception was Allen, a tour guide from Taiwan who was very friendly and helpful, especially on the last day when he helped organise a car to take us to our next accommodation a few hours drive away. A special mention must also go to the restaurant staff, who served us a range of tea-infused dishes and patiently went along with our many queries (our daughter is coeliac which made eating in China a little complicated). Thank you T Manor for a serene and friendly experience, we particularly loved listening to the sound of the bees pollinating the tea bushes as we eat on the veranda of our tent and looked out over the plantation."

"Overall, I was a little disappointed. The photos were good, but the details weren't great. 1. The pillows and quilt had a damp smell; even with the mosquito coil on, there were still a lot of mosquitoes, which was unpleasant. The air conditioner panel would occasionally light up on its own, and I had no choice but to turn it off. 2. The kettle was all ceramic, even the lid, which looked nice, but it was very hot after boiling water, which was a bit dangerous. The hair dryer had an old, sticky exterior. 3. The electrical plugs either wouldn't plug in at all or were loose and barely usable. 4. The main light wouldn't turn on. 5. The mattress in the tatami area was custom-sized, but the sheets weren't, so the edges didn't match and were messy (the mattress underneath didn't look very clean either). 6. We were told breakfast would be served in the lobby at x time, but when we arrived, we asked and found out we had to eat in the courtyard next door because we had forgotten to turn on the air conditioner. 😓😓 The breakfast was pretty good, so I'll give it a thumbs up."

"The scenery was stunning, but the service was even better. I had a flat tire halfway down the mountain, and a hotel staff member came out in the pouring rain to change it for me, even helping me contact a repair shop. I'm incredibly grateful!"

"Choosing Hailuo Hotel was the first thing I did upon arriving in Yingde. While checking in, I met Wenyan at the front desk, who was very enthusiastic, introducing me to good places to eat, drink, and have fun, and explaining all the important points clearly. At checkout, I met Luling again; she reminded me to get my parking voucher and helped me with my luggage—I had so much stuff! Next time I'm in Yingde, I'll definitely go back to Hailuo. It's generous, welcoming, the rooms are clean and bright, and the breakfast is plentiful and nutritious. I was extremely satisfied with everything."
