Hotels in Tianmenshan Cableway/Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, Zhangjiajie

We enjoyed our stay at Hetianwan Inn a lot. The staff was super nice and helpful. We got free water everyday when we left or came back to the hotel. The staff was able to answer all our questions regarding how to get to the Nationalpark, the hikes etc. We asked for restaurant recommendations and were even guided to the restaurant by them.

The hotel is 3 to 5 minutes away from Tianmen Cable Way. Making it an excellent place to stay if you are heading to Mt. Tianmen. The room is comfortable and they offer a free ride service to the train station for you to depart to your next destination. Apart from that, there is few chinese restaurants and convenience stalls beside the hotel!

Our stay at this hotel was an absolute delight — especially after our previous experience elsewhere! From the very first moment, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They greeted us with a cup of tea, gave our child some small toys as a gift, and even upgraded our room, taking into account our request for a higher floor. We were also allowed to check in early, which was very convenient. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable rest after long days of hiking in the mountains. A special thank you to Xiaoyi, the lovely lady who welcomed us — she was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The location is perfect — the Tianmen Mountain cable car station is just outside the hotel, the 72 Wonders Tower show is only about 9 minutes away by taxi, and the train station can also be reached quickly. We truly enjoyed our time here and would gladly stay again. Highly recommended! 🌿

I stayed at Mengtu Hotel with my mother and sister. We booked a 3 bed family room for one night. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from Tianmen Mountain Cableway (Route A) so it's in an incredibly ideal location. From the very start, the staff here went out of their way to accommodate us. They offered help to book trains, taxis and even organising itinerarys. They let us store our bags there overnight (free of charge) while we went on a one-night trip to Furong Ancient Town. We offered to tip them for keeping our bags safe but they wouldn't let us! They even offered us a ride (once again free of charge) to the airport nearby when we were back to collect our bags and head off. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough if you're staying in Zhangjiajie!

This hotel was really amazing. It was easy to get to using didi from the airport (around 15rmb) and to get from there all around town. But most importantly it's a short walking distance from the cable car up Tianmenshan, which allowed us to get there super early and still sleep well on the comfortable beds. The view was really nice, the internet quick and everything was clean and well organized. Even though we got a smoking room (we don't smoke) nothing smelled like cigarettes so they even managed to keep that clean. Would really recommend and come back to.

🌏 The hotel truly exceeded my expectations. From the very beginning, they offered us a free transfer. The driver was a bit late, but the staff handled it with such care — they even gave us a complimentary return transfer to the train station as an apology. That’s what I call genuine hospitality! The reception girls were absolute sweethearts. Kind, patient, they explained everything with the help of a translator, served us hot tea, and even brought fruit as a welcome gift. Honestly, I’ve stayed in five-star hotels before, but I have never experienced this level of heartfelt care and warmth there. Here, you feel not like a client, but a truly welcome guest. The room was pure harmony — spotlessly clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. Slippers, a hygiene kit, a hairbrush, and even women’s sanitary products were provided — such a rare and considerate touch. The panoramic windows were huge (yes, the view was of a construction site), but the atmosphere inside was so pleasant it didn’t matter at all. And the tea ceremony table was the cherry on top, making the whole stay feel cultural and special. This hotel proves that true comfort doesn’t come from stars, but from genuine care, warm smiles, and attention to details. P.S. Oh, and the sweetest surprise — our stay happened to coincide with the Mid-Autumn Festival. The hotel gifted us a box of mooncakes 🎑🥮. It wasn’t just a gift, it felt like a piece of tradition and celebration shared with us. Such a warm and thoughtful gesture that turned our trip into something truly memorable.

The service was excellent, and the owner was incredibly thoughtful. They enthusiastically recommended local dishes that were absolutely delicious! They also assisted with arranging transfers to and from the station and booking tickets for local attractions. The hotel's location is superb; we had a direct view of Tianmen Cave right from our window. The room decor was simple yet elegant, and the owner even upgraded our room type for free! The shared washing machine was also very convenient. Breakfast consisted of noodles and side dishes, offering a distinct local flavor with very generous portions.

Very friendly staff who provide the highest standard of service. Helped to buy a ticket to Tianmen, explained how to plan the trip in the best way. Amazing room, with smart controls, cozy lighting and crisp white linen. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail for the convenience of guests, from robes to laundry baskets and USB ports. There is a stunning park nearby, and the airport is only 10 minutes by taxi. Would be happy to come back!

The scenery is great, the air conditioning is not very effective, the boss picked us up at the airport, which is good

The only problem is that the mosquitoes are too strong. The air conditioning is very powerful, the bathroom has separate wet and dry areas, and a smart toilet, but the space is too small. 2. The scenery is superb, and Tianmen Cave is opposite. It is a real pleasure to sit in front of the small table for making tea and look at the Tianmen Cave 3. It is about 10 minutes' drive from Tianmen Cave Cableway, which is more suitable for self-driving tourists. Parking is available at the door. 4. The beef factory restaurant nearby is delicious. 5. The breakfast is very exquisite and tastes good. I didn't try their home-cooked dishes, but I can tell from the breakfast that they must taste good. Mind the point It's too close to the airport, with a flight every 15 minutes on average. The noise is very loud, but I don't mind it, but if you have trouble sleeping, I don't recommend it. The passage upstairs is narrow, which makes it difficult to carry large luggage
