This was my first trip to Harbin, and I booked a riverside hotel near the Songhua River on Ctrip. My stay at the Harbin Habsburg River View Hotel (St. Sophia Church branch) was overwhelmingly positive, especially regarding the service and breakfast. From the greeters and front desk staff to the restaurant team, everyone was consistently described as 'warm, attentive, and caring,' making it feel just like home. They even offered complimentary access to the executive lounge, which truly showed how thoughtful and considerate the hotel is. The breakfast was incredibly rich and featured local specialties. What really stood out was the long serving time, from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, allowing us to sleep in and enjoy it as a brunch – a luxury usually only found in international resort hotels. The variety was impressive, including Northeastern dishes like 'kill-pig' stew, chicken stew with mushrooms, 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork), iron pot stew, frozen pears, and Kvas, along with Lanzhou beef noodles, wontons, tofu pudding, and big bone stews. The hotel's location is also excellent. It's about a 10-minute walk (500 meters) to Central Street, the Flood Control Monument, and the Chinese Eastern Railway Bridge. St. Sophia Church and Daoli Market are within a 2-kilometer walk. Directly across from the hotel is the entrance to the Songhua River Cableway. We stayed on the 11th floor in a high-level river view room, offering distant views of the river and Swan Castle. The night view was truly beautiful. The room was well-equipped with a humidifier (essential in dry Northeast China), heated eye masks, sleep earplugs, a foot bath, bath salts, and charging cables. They also provided a complimentary fruit platter and snacks daily, and the bottled water was from Quanyangquan. This hotel is a 'service-driven' choice offering excellent value for money. With its thoughtful service, abundant breakfast, and convenient location, the Habsburg is definitely worth choosing. I would absolutely stay here again on my next visit to Harbin and would even recommend it to friends.

This time, mini_cloud stayed in a European-style hotel near Central Avenue in Harbin. It was super convenient for shopping and dining. The room had drinks, and they delivered fresh fruit every day. The hotel's breakfast buffet was also amazing; I was surprised to find substantial dishes like roast meat, sausages, and prawns, along with local specialties like Guo Bao Rou (fried pork in sweet and sour sauce) and red sausage. There was also a great selection of fruits and desserts. Every staff member I encountered, whether at the front desk, in the restaurant, or housekeeping, was incredibly warm and polite. They always proactively helped with my luggage when I arrived and departed. When checking out, an uncle even gave me a souvenir — a small orange package with coffee and candies, which perfectly matched the color of my clothes! Mini_cloud had a wonderful vacation in Harbin.

The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Central Avenue, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. This saved us a lot of travel time, especially with kids. The room was spacious and well-designed, with excellent cleanliness, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The facilities were comprehensive, and the bathroom's wet/dry separation was a very pleasant touch. The staff were gentle and friendly, providing thoughtful and meticulous service. With plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby, many landmarks were within walking distance. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, highly recommended for families with children.

Harbin was the last stop on our road trip. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from Saint Sophia Cathedral. The room was spacious and well-equipped, clean and hygienic. The most unexpected bonus was the parking lot in the back, which was incredibly convenient. Both the front desk and cleaning staff provided excellent service! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Incredible value for money! Highly recommend!

Wonderful hotel! We received a free room upgrade, and the room was spacious with impeccable cleanliness. The bed was absolutely magical. The room also had an ironing board with an iron, a coffee machine, and a powerful hairdryer. There's a laundry room on the floor. Breakfasts were good. Near the reception, there's a counter with tea and refreshing drinks, complimentary packed lunches, fruits, and pastries. The location is very convenient, right next to Arbat, with everything within walking distance. We don't regret choosing this hotel and would gladly return again 🫶🫶

This hotel is super conveniently located, just a 6-7 minute walk from Saint Sophia Cathedral and Daoli Market. Central Street is about a 15-minute stroll away. Getting around is a breeze too, whether you prefer a taxi, bus, or shared bike. The hotel facilities are top-notch, featuring smart toilets and Dyson hairdryers. Each room even has a mini-fridge stocked with Coke, Sprite, drip coffee, and tea. The front desk staff and housekeepers were incredibly friendly and polite, always greeting guests. The breakfast was surprisingly excellent with a huge variety of options, including different stir-fries, cold dishes, fruits, yogurt, juices, main courses, cheese, and coffee. They also offer afternoon tea, and even gave me a souvenir when I checked out. I highly recommend this hotel! Harbin was great, and I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

We wanted more than luxury . We wanted a hotel that truly reflected Harbin’s character, heritage, and history. We are glad to have discovered this hidden gem. Mansion 1903 Hotel is probably one of the most charming hotels in Harbin, beautifully blending old-world elegance, modern comfort, and strong Russian heritage. The location is excellent, conveniently close to Zhongyang Street, yet peaceful and refined. The rooms are spacious, clean, stylish, and exceptionally comfortable, while the staff are warm, professional, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Their service made our stay especially memorable. The elegant lobby environment, together with the traditional Sarafan and Kokoshnik costumes, also provided a wonderful opportunity for photography and added to the hotel’s unique cultural atmosphere. Special thanks to Mr. Deng for his meticulous sharing and introduction of the antique collections displayed in the hotel lobby. His passion and knowledge greatly enriched our experience.

MMediterraneanSeaFacilities: There's a restaurant on the first floor that offers breakfast. The selection isn't huge, but it's perfectly adequate. The room was spacious and had a large window. There were no strange odors, and the bathroom was a good size with a separate wet and dry area. Ambiance: Clean and tidy, with lively decor. The signature Ibis red makes it feel warm and inviting. Service: The young lady at the front desk had a smile that could melt anyone (and I'm a woman!). She was a major highlight of the hotel – so enthusiastic and empathetic. When she saw my mom and I were sharing a bed, she proactively upgraded us to a twin room, which was also very spacious, and even gave us complimentary egg tarts upon check-in. Her proactive spirit and warm service made our stay truly enjoyable! 😀 Hygiene: The hotel maintained the usual Ibis standard of cleanliness. There was no hair on the room floor, and both the toilet and shower areas were excellent and very spacious.

GGuest UserHighly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Snow Valley! Nan Nan Homestay has an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the ski resort. After a tiring day of skiing, you can just turn around and head back to rest. The owner is a local and an excellent guide, providing professional service. The attraction tickets they helped us book were cheaper than online, and they even arranged free shuttle service within the scenic area, so we didn't have to lug our luggage around. The rooms are well-equipped with private bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The large kang bed can accommodate 2-4 people, making it perfect for family trips or traveling with friends. The 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) and 'guo bao rou' (sweet and sour pork) at the restaurant are super authentic, with fresh and flavorful ingredients – incredible value for money. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave!

GGuest UserHarbin Anshu Family Hotel has only 7 rooms and a family who look after the rooms and guests. Their services are just outstanding. I had a serious problem when i arrived as i had not had time in Beijing, where i was in transit from UK to Harbin, to get a phone SIM Card. Anshu Family Hotel took me to the China Mobile shop in Harbin and stayed with me until i got my card. They flatly refused payment for helping me even though it cost them a lot of time so i got them some grapes as a very small gift to say thankyou for helping me so kindly. The process took nearly two hours due to a complication on my UK phone number settings. However the staff at China Mobile were really good, the Anshu Family were just incredibly patient. They simply would not leave until i was fixed up and able to use my phone. I stayed for just under a week to go to see the major attractions in Harbin, a City with a totally unique identity in China due to its Russian and European Architecture. It is one of the most fascinating cities i have ever visited, Harbin Museum being quite astonishing in its variety and quality of Artifacts. It was the 16th Museum or Museum type building i have visited in China and one of the most enjoyable. This year was Harbins 26th Ice Show, with the Winter Games coming up soon. The Anshu Family Hotel is spot on location for both events, just a $3 taxi ride or Metro for just cents. The hotel has lots of shops, supermarkets, several food roads bristling with many many choices of meal. The Anshu Family make a very low charge for their rooms, in my opinion it could be far higher but they stick at their price. I had not asked for breakfast as i go out early to get to see as much as possible during my day sightseeing. The night before i left i asked them if they would get me a taxi for the morning to get my train. I was to get the taxi at 6.45am. At 5.50 a knock on the door and they came to give me three boiled eggs and a meat stew with noodles. Honestly no Hotel has treated me so kindly. I really recommend grabbing a room with Anshu most especially if you are going to the Ice Show or Winter games. It is a budget Hotel, so be aware of that, but I got a spotless sheet, cover duvet and i was as warm as toast room at night. The water shower is piping hot. Opposite the Hotel road is a huge Govt building as a landmark, i never had any problem finding it. There is a Bank of China two hundred metres from Anshu Family Hotel. Anshu, in my opinion must be one of the top deals on offer from Trip.com.

MMiwa627Among the 5-star hotels in Harbin, I chose this one, which is the newest, and I wasn't disappointed upon arrival. The facilities are new and very clean, and the hotel staff are very enthusiastic. If you order takeout, a robot delivers it to your room. It's quite close to the airport, only a 30-minute ride. The only thing to consider is that the location is a bit out of the way, a little further from the main tourist attractions.

((LFAngel) Diana BaRobHonestly, the photo they used seems to be AI-generated or at least edited, so don’t expect it to look THAT good. HOWEVER, with that said, it doesn’t defeat the purpose of how a hotel should actually operate. This is my honest review: ✈️ LOCATION: (10/10) - It’s literally less than 5 minutes away from “Harbin Taiping International Airport” (HRB). - There is also a street filled with small restaurants and grocery stores, just one minute away from the hotel. We recommend eating at 云姐: 金麦手擀面 (Sister Yun: Golden Wheat Hand-made Noodles) 👍🏼 💁🏻♂️ SERVICE: (10/10) - They are very transparent about the lack of English speakers, and the use of Translation apps. It was quite easy to communicate with the staff despite the language barrier, because they had a real-time convenient translation app. - The staff were very accommodating, and them smiling a lot helped ease any discomfort. There was also a free transportation service to the airport, and the driver was equally as friendly. 🧴 CLEANLINESS AND AMENITIES: (8/10) - Much like with the rest of Harbin, I LOVED their provided cosmetics, as they always have a scent of tea to them, and the feel is good. They even provided small delicious snacks. - However, the reason why I didn’t rate it the highest is because compared to other hotels, it’s not the most clean-looking. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean, but it wasn’t the whole “spotless and sanitized” look. There was also A BIT of an odour once you enter the room. Just a bit tho, not to the point of causing extreme discomfort. Plus, it’s only upon initial entry, it fades right after. 🍲 FOOD: (?/10) - I have no idea, because we didn’t try their food, sorry. We went out to eat 😭 🌸 VIEW: (10/10) - Much like I’ve said earlier as well, the Hotel is beautiful but not as pristine as it looks, because the front is now filled with shafts, etc. - However, I still rated it the highest because the view from outside our window, and to the left of the Hotel itself was beautiful (at least in the winter, during snow season, when we came). It was a vast plane field (corn field, I assume) filled with snow, and you get a clear view of the sunset/sunrise, as well as the Tower of the Harbin Airport. All in all, I’d rate the overall stay a 9/10. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending the Hotel to my friends, and my family and I would love to stay there again if we ever come back to Harbin ! ~

GGuest UserMy family and I stayed for two nights with breakfast, and overall, we were satisfied with the hotel. The thoughtful detail of providing late-night congee (convenient for seniors) was particularly commendable. However, what happened with the hotel restaurant waiter on our departure morning was truly infuriating. Here’s a brief summary of the incident: I arrived at the hotel restaurant entrance with two family members and proactively presented the room cards for both rooms. The waiter responsible for registration told me that only the room numbers were needed, so I provided both (and saw him record them on a form). The waiter then indicated that the three of us could enter the dining area. While we were eating, my family member mentioned that this waiter had approached her again to ask for her room number when she was getting food. She told the waiter that she had already checked in for dining. My family member was confused and upset about being asked for her room number again mid-meal. I could only explain to her that I was the one who handled the check-in at the restaurant entrance, so the waiter might not have noticed her. My family member accepted my explanation, and we continued to enjoy our meal. Unexpectedly, a moment later, as I was alone at the buffet counter getting food, the same waiter walked straight up to me and asked for my room number. I told the waiter, “You already registered and verified our room numbers at the entrance before we came in, and we entered the restaurant with your permission.” I then asked the waiter, “Does every guest who registers at the entrance and enters the restaurant get asked for their room number again?” The waiter said no. Everything described above is an objective and factual account, without any subjective emotion. By the way, a front desk supervisor happened to witness the scene and immediately apologized to us with sincere politeness. I commend this supervisor’s professionalism and crisis management skills. Without saying more, I just want to raise two questions: 1. It is standard practice for hotel buffet restaurants to have a verification process at the entrance, such as guests presenting their room cards or stating their room numbers. The hotel verifies the guest’s identity, then allows them to enter the dining area and be seated. This should be considered the completion of the identity verification process, and guests should not be disturbed again for this purpose while dining. This is basic etiquette and the minimum standard of hospitality. If guests are asked to re-verify their identity while eating, it’s just ridiculous. Honestly, among all the hotels I’ve stayed at, both domestically and internationally, from five-star establishments to general chain hotels, this is truly the first time I’ve encountered such an odd and rude experience. 2. Since the waiter responsible for registration at the hotel buffet area explicitly stated that not every guest entering the restaurant needs to have their room number reconfirmed, I am curious: by what criteria does he select which guests need to be re-verified? And it’s quite an honor that both my family members and I were singled out twice.
