The staff were very friendly and helpful during my stay with them. I had noticed a bedsheet was not completely clean, but I was able to find cleaning staff easily and they were able to resolve the problem quickly. The Epic Transfers and Tours staff were especially helpful when I had an incident with a taxi driver that was unpleasant to me. The rooftop pool and bar was nice in appearance and the bar was nicely used, but the pool water was cold and nobody was using it. Additionally, although being a non-smoking hotel, there appeared to be old bins at the lifts / elevators with the cigarette ashtray-like tops on them; to be a non-smoking location, it needs to be clearly demonstrated as being just that, particularly where some countries still allow smoking in their hotels. The biggest concern outside the hotel rooms, though, was the buffet breakfasts, which sometimes had soiled tongs used by other guests that were not being replaced quickly enough with clean tongs; food safety needs to be a serious concern for any establishment serving food.
The room itself looked rather clean, had a patio looking at the wooded area out back; however, the patio door was not easy to lock and this was a bit of a concern with insects being readily present. There was also a sofa that could convert into a sofa bed, but it looked like it had a dent in the left arm. The bathroom was often stocked with new toiletries, perhaps too often as I was receiving a new bar of soap every day, but there was also mould trying to seep through the grouting behind the sink; I did inspect this and it seemed to be contained completely within the grouting, but it is a concern to be resolved soon. Additionally, though, the bathroom would sometimes smell horrible, as if you could smell sewage from the ventilation; there was a floor drain that could be the cause of this, but the ceiling ventilation looked like it needed cleaning and it was not sealed properly to the ceiling, either. There was a toilet paper holder, but it was poorly placed and it was evident it replaced another toilet roll holder that was in the correct location. Inside the shower, there was what appeared to be a stain running vertically down the wall where the shower head was located. The towels were kept clean and most had proper hotel labels on them, but some had the name of the hotel written on them, seemingly with a permanent marker, which was quite strange, especially for a hotel with a 4* rating.
The hotel has a 4* rating on Trip.com and has the amenities to be that, but the quality of those amenities needs to support their existence; otherwise, they cannot be considered. The staff were friendly and trying to make the stay as nice for me as they possibly could manage, so the issues mainly appear to be from a failure of the management and ownership not regularly checking the rooms and updating the quality and ambience of its hotel. Simply having 4* amenities does not automatically make a hotel 4* and although Trip.com has it listed as 4*, I would rank this as being a 3* hotel at the moment as they need to make further improvements to the hotel so that the quality of the amenities will make for a valid 4* rating in the future.
When looking at the hotel via any booking site, check out the other sites, too, and look up the hotel website, too, as that should exist. The images I saw on Trip.com were quite enticing, but they also include a picture of Jack’s of Fiji, which was not available on site, and random pictures of the outdoors that were nowhere near the hotel as it is located more inland and not by the ocean. The hotel is the biggest and most expensive element of any holiday/ vacation, so it is important to spend more time investigating each eligible hotel prior to seeking a room, and do not feel rushed by websites telling you there are only so many rooms left; there are many hotels in each location, so there are always options available.
The resort is very conveniently located, just close to everything. Inside the resort precinct there’s a dive shop which is great for divers. The resort staff are very hospitable with great services. Plenty of free activities provided everyday including fire walk, kava ceremony and fish feeding etc. Tours can be booked through the tour booking desk at reception. Highly recommended for travellers looking for diving and other outdoor activities.
The host of this hotel is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very healthy and delicious. I love how they always served it with fruits such as papaya, pineapple, and banana. The location is near shops, restaurants, and the beach. They are all within a 10-minute walk. However, if you are into diving or island-related activities, it will take you around 20-30 minute drive to get to the Marina. Overall, it's a good place to stay for a few days without hurting your wallet.

This was the second time we have stayed at the Palms. Will definitely stay again in the future because it is so convenient to Port Denarau. The 2 bedroom apartment is spacious with 2 bathrooms , full kitchen and lounge. We had ground floor which had an outdoor seating area Higher floors had balconies.
We walked there from the Port after our 6 days in the Yasawa Islands.
I stayed here for two nights in a dorm, lodge 1. I had a top bunk and there wasn’t a railing so I was pretty worried about falling out. Also there weren’t any plugs inside the room - only one outside in the washroom area. Apparently the other dorm lodges do have plugs and railings though.
Food is only at set times but was pretty reasonably priced! I had the split pea soup for dinner one night (5/5!) and a veggie curry the following (3/5) and a veggie burger for lunch (4.5/5). Complimentary breakfast was pretty basic but good enough! They had soy and almond milk available.
There is a cute ethical shop/cafe nearby which is so nice but other than that I don’t think there’s much else within walking distance in terms of shops.
The resort had daily activities to get involved with which is a bonus!! The pool was also very nice and the beach is great for snorkelling!
My favourite part of the beach house was the shower in the washroom area attached to the dorm/lodge. It was an outside area but secluded and the shower pressure was insane!! And nice warm water. However, the toilet itself smelt pretty bad and I didn’t dare go near it.

Excellent choice downtown Suva. Rooms are spotless and large. Gym and washing machines are very convenient. But the wifi is painfully slow at times - so slow that it becomes impossible to even read emails.
I think the hotel overall is pretty good. The breakfast was good, the TAVU restaurant which serves grill food was excellent. The view from the hotel is definitely great. However, WIFI service has to be charged, the dinner buffet was disappointed and horrible, and more importantly the hotel itself is kinda old that the facilities in the room are broken or nearly broken. Definitely renovation is needed.
We had a lovely welcome upon arrival, cold towels and water. We were able to park our hire car undercover. Assistance by the hotel with all our bags to the room was great.
Loved having comfy beds, dressing gowns, seperate bathrooms, washing machine, dryer and plunger coffee.
The rooms were clean, everything available for making our own meals.
Enjoyed a morning coffee and smoothies downstairs.
Our last night we had a drink at Bar 57 before going out to eat.
We were given a late checkout.
A nice relaxing stay.
Thank you.

ZZhangzuxun1. It is relatively close to the airport, about 3 kilometers, and a taxi is about 20 Fijian dollars.
2. The internal environment of the hotel is good, and the guest rooms are equivalent to single-story townhouses.
3. There is a large outdoor swimming pool, but there was no water and it was not open during this check-in.
4. There is no restaurant. Meals need to be eaten at the coffee bar outside. There are no other restaurants nearby.
5. There is no drinking water or shampoo or shower gel in the room.
In short, it feels like it’s just a place to sleep.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, however the WiFi doesn’t reach the room. The curtains didn’t shut all the way so it was hard to maintain privacy. There also isn’t any food available to buy at the hotel. Bed was comfortable and I had a restful nights sleep.
SsereleaThe room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in a villa, so there were a lot of locks, which was confusing. The back door was out of place and couldn't be opened or closed.
The sea is shallow and very good for walking! The staff were also friendly. It was wonderful to have a welcome drink while watching the sunset.
It's a shame that the access is not good, but it's worth staying!
I told them that I couldn't eat breakfast the next day because of a remote island tour I had booked, so they gave me a lunch box. In the morning, when I went to the restaurant to get my lunch box, the chef didn't understand what I said, so he made it for me in a hurry. There was only enough for four people instead of five, but I was grateful that they made it early in the morning because I had asked for something.
GGuest UserGreat place to experience the real fiji people, culture and service.
Very friendly staff and always something going on , with the reef and walks , swimming etc plenty to do.
The food is very good , breakfast is very good and cooked to order, compliments to the Chef.
Dinner was also very enjoyable , portion size is large, and well received.
The Dinning room is well spread with larger groups down the bottom and individuals and families up the top , never felt too crampt or over whelmed.
Rooms were great not 5 star by any means but they don't try to be the rooms were very good nice mattresses good sleeping a shower inside and outside for something different.
The gardens are excellent with garden staff maintaining them constantly its a real bounus they do a wonderful job.
The Staff in general are great always smiling and open for a chat. They all help one another and make it a fun organised resort .
The Room staff who makeup and clean rooms are wonderful throughout the whole place nothing was a chore
The Gym i used everyday needs a bit of a spruce up needs a treadmill and a new workout bench but I made do and still did well.
A lovely lovely place for a holiday!
Don't hesitate to book as after a few days you'll ask why didn't you book for longer like we did.

NNadia39Such a beautiful resort! We were lucky to be upgraded to a beach front room and it is definitely worth it if you are booking! The staff are all so lovely and they made our special occasion even more special. We can’t wait to come back!
GGuest UserA very VERY strange experience here I must say.. I arrived at the 28 bed dorm room (even though trip.com said it was 10 bed) and there was no sign of any other life in the dorm at all. Most of the beds looked like they had been made months ago and nobody had slept in them since because they were covered in a layer of dust and dirt.. I went back to reception to ask what was going on and they said I’m the only one booked in so I just accepted it as it was. However, later on when I was sitting the bar a member of staff approached me and told me I had been upgraded (because supposedly the dorms weren’t clean due to a big group having checked out yesterday) so I ended up spending two nights in a luxurious Bure, the first night shared with someone else who was booked in for the dorms. The Bure was beautiful and spotless and I am very grateful for the upgrade. The outside shower was also very nice!
The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from! Eggs, sausages, beans, bread, cakes, yogurts, fruit, multiple cereals, tea, coffee and juice, one morning there were pancakes.
The only downsides to this resort is they don’t have any activities or excursions of their own and they direct you to the hotel further along - I did snorkelling there which costs $75 - the whole thing felt rushed in my opinion and the trip wasn’t worth the money. We got barely any time in the water and there was no time to stop and observe anything, seemed like the guys on the boat just wanted to get it all over and done with as fast as possible.
GGuest UserWe went as a family of 4.
Just a beautiful nice resort hidden away from people and other things
If you want to go to a place where your not bothered than this is it.
Not many people yet know this resort therefore the stay was private and no waiting for pools etc
We had a bure next to the beach
Staff were over and beyond helpful
Even helped us with our chilly storage
NNadia777!The place is good if you need to get to the airport in the morning or plan to take boat trips from the port, as the beach in the area is not swimmable. Wi fi in the lobby / room is not good, wi fi in the restaurant: good :) the dorm room can be cleaner tbh, but it’s cheap so can’t complain
People are nice and friendly. There’s a bicycle rental nearby and o highly recommend renting e-bike and drive around.
