Before I arrived in Durban, I was always told about how dangerous the place can be. I don’t felt anything dangerous during my time. The hotel property are guarded with spike on the floor to prevent car from force entry. Entry and exit of the property, the driver are required to produce identity both in and out. I guess this all actions made us feels safe. We have a driver whom drove of to a nearby 4-6 minutes Nandos to buy takeaway. So can’t comment on the safety of the trip. That’s a hourly rate car rental CLIQ which I believe you can prearrange to pick up on the hotel itself. Hotel does provide some tour packages. And if you need to leave your hotel early and unable to have breakfast, they can prepack for you and by far, it’s the most sumptuous packet breakfast I’ve ever received of the 80+ countries I’ve visited! Their service is good as well!

Very average service received. Room service closes at 11pm!!! Why offer it then? At least 2am gives you a chance should you miss the normal restaurants that close at around 11pm. Sad that a simple request for X2 decent size glasses and some ice can't be followed or done at 11:30pm... Instead I received 1 glass and absolutely no mention of the ice... It's the little things that make the stay enjoyable.

Perhaps the room service ladies could be nicer. The attitude is not welcoming at all. Breakfast is just limited to two choices which I wasn't happy about because there was so much I couldn't even eat.. the front desk is ok. Lounge and bar looks good. Will I be going back there? My answer is only if I run out of options then I could.

The hotel is very good. It is considered very good in Durban. The facilities are very new, there is no strange smell, and the hygiene is also very good. The only complaint is that the breakfast is white rice, which is really not very appetizing. However, the service is very good.

This hotel still has a great reputation in the market. However, some of the service is lacking a little. My pants were not returned after laundry. However, they were quick to resolve the issue and sent my pants by express to my next destination in Cape Town. This is one of the best hotels Durban has to offer.

A great hotel, like an apartment hotel, right on the seaside of Durban. The sea breeze is very comfortable while having breakfast. Breakfast is rich in variety. The disadvantage is that the air conditioner in the room is relatively loud. I had to turn off the air conditioner when sleeping, and be mentally prepared for intermittent power outages.

Really good location next to the highway. Staff were incredibly polite, friendly and very helpful. Recommended for a 1-2 night stay for those travelling around to different places.

The hotel is well located, with easy access to the beach. Unfortunately the room itself was very small, especially for the price being charged. Breakfast was also limited. Service at the hotel was good though. Good food available 24/7 via room service. Had an amazing mutton bunny at 1am that really hit the spot!!!
