The temples of Angkor Wat, Cambodia🇰🇭

📍Siem Reap, Angkor Wat Temples Our first destination in Cambodia! Although Cambodia is only an hours flight from Thailand, there is no doubt that you are in a completely different country. Cambodia is smaller, less developed and more rural than Thailand. There seems to be fewer crowds and less tourists roaming the streets. The first thing that I noticed was how friendly Cambodian people are, they are so so welcoming and proud of their country. Siem Reap is home to the Angkor Wat Temples and we took a 9 hour tour, exploring the some of the main ones. As Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument on the planet, there was so much to see. We learned such interesting history of the temples and of Cambodia from our lovely tour guide. And we really felt like we were tomb raiders, exploring the ancient temples.
