A Glimpse Of The Past

I'm attracted to vintage, antique things and musuems because they all have stories and even if I don't know the stories, I make them up. That's why visiting The National Museum of The Philippines is such a memorable and wonderful experience for me because not only it made me travel back in time but it also hit me an idea of what it feels like to live in that era. The National Musuem of The Philippines is located along Rizal Park in Manila. It tooks us 25 minutes from Balintawak LRT station to Central Avenue to get there. The museum has no entrance fee and it houses four buildings in Manila. The National Musuem of Fine Arts, The National Museum of Anthropology, The National Museum of Natural History, and the National Planetarium. I recommend everyone to have breakfast or lunch first before exploring the musuem because there are lots of Instagramable artifacts, paintings and artworks from thousand of years ago that surely will catch your attention and taking photo or selfie of it will tire you. Anyway, after eating lunch, my boyfriend and I visit the National Musuem of Natural History which includes creatively curated displays of botanical, zoological, and geological specimens that represent our unique natural history. We took a lots of photos of different species of butterflies, different type of rocks and one of the main attractions on display at the National Museum of Natural History, hanging from the ceiling of Ayala Hall, is the skeleton of Lolong, the Philippine's largest saltwater crocodile (in captivity) ever recorded and officially certified by the Guinness Book of World. After an hour and half we went and visit the National Museum of Fine Arts which houses the 29 galleries and hallway exhibitions comprising of 19th century Filipino masters, National Artists, leading modern painters, sculptors, and printmakers. The museum contains a number of important works, including: 1. The Spoliarium by Juan Luna 2. The Parisian Life 3. La Bulaqueña Unfortunately, we haven't had time to explore the National Musuem of Anthropology and National Planetarium because we need to go back to Bulacan. Hopefully on our next trip we'll get to visit those two. Overall, my experience is so wonderful and even though I got tired from walking and dehydrated due to sun's raging heat (It was March btw), the memories I created with my boyfriend inside the National Musuem of The Philippines is one of the books and will surely become a beautiful part of our history. #nationalpark #nationalmuseumofthephilippines #spooktaculartrip #tripblazers #fallingforfall #artshunting #artgallery #historicallandmarks #historyfacts #coupledate
