Southernmost Point in Gibraltar

Europa Point is the southernmost point in Gibraltar. At the end of the Rock of Gibraltar, the area is flat and occupied by such features as a playing field and a few buildings. Harding's Battery is a restored artillery battery in Gibraltar Europa Point, and includes the Europa Sunken Magazine that is now used as a visitor centre. The Ibrahim-al-Ibrahim Mosque is a gift from King Faid of Saudi Arabia, located at Europa Point. The Europa Point Lighthouse, with the former keeper's cottage to the left, and the former fog-horn house to the right, built in 1838. On a clear day, visitors can have a view of North Africa, across the strait of Gibraltar including Cetua and the Rif Mountain of Morocco.
