A person travels all over the UK - the bridges of Glasgow

🌉Rivers are the lifeblood of a city. The Clyde River runs through Glasgow, making the city vibrant. There are 21 bridges on the Clyde River connecting the two banks, and these bridges are also a reflection of Glasgow's development. From the 18th to the 19th century, with the increase in transportation needs and the city's maturity in steel forging, the first Clyde Bridge was born. As trade became more and more prosperous, bridges of various structures were born. 🌉Albert Bridge is a road bridge (Figures 1️⃣2️⃣3️⃣), built in 1871 and named after Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert. 🌉City Union Bridge (Figures 4️⃣5️⃣6️⃣), opened in 1899, it was once the busy main road in and out of St. Enoch station, but the terminus was closed in 1966, and since then this bridge has only been used for freight transport. 🌉Squiggly Bridge, commonly known as the 'Curved Bridge' (Figure 7️⃣), opened in May 2009, designed by a Danish architecture company and British engineers. 🌉South Portland Street Pedestrian Bridge (Figures 8️⃣9️⃣🔟), this bridge made of forged steel has sandstone towers at both ends, a suspension span of 414 feet, and was built between 1851 and 1853. 🌉There are fitness trails on both sides of the Clyde River, parks, and many beautiful old buildings. Near the suspension bridge, there is also a stepped viewing platform, which is a good place for people to relax and watch the sunset.
