Impressive Yutoku Inari Shrine in Kyushu

The Yutoku Inari Shrine 佑德稻荷神社 is located in Kashima City in Kyushu, Japan. It takes about 1.5 hours to drive from Fukuoka, or about 2 hours by train. It is considered one of the top 3 most important Inari shrines in Japan. The shrine is impressively built against the hillside, and you will need to walk about 100 steps up the staircase to reach the beautiful main hall. An elevator has also been built in recent years, but will cost ¥300 per trip. The view from the top is beautiful and there is a long row of tori in the hillside behind the hall. There is also a small Japanese garden near the front entrance with many Sakura trees. This shrine is definitely worth visiting if on the way south toward Nagasaki or to enjoy Takeo or Ureshino Onsen which are 30 minutes away. ##kyushu ##japan #travelinjapan ##shrine
